Today was the day of the first task. I was, of course, supporting Cedric, considering Harry was still pissed at me.

Fun times, right?

I've been keeping my eye on Moody these past three months as well. He was getting more and more suspicous.

"Go Cedric!!" I cheered with the other students.

The whistle sounded and the contestents dived into the black lake, Cedric casting a bubble mouth charm before so.

He was so smart! Like, gosh. Amazing.

"Shouldn't you be supporting Harry?" A hufflepuff asked me

"No. Cedric is my bestfriend. I'd rather support him right now anyways."

"I just thought.....since Harry's your cousin...."

"Oh. No. It's okay."

"Who do you recon's gonna win?"

"I think we'll have two winners this year." I stated proudly

"That's impossible."

"Stranger things have happened though." I stated

Wait, back up.

How did he know Harry was my cousin? Draco must be letting it slip. That ferret! Plus, he's been ignoring me the past three months. It making me upset.

I'm not sure why i care.

"Who told you Harry was my cousin?" I asked the boy

"Oh, Draco Malfoy's been telling tons of people. You'd have to be under a rock to not know these days."

"Thanks. I'm Rose, by the way."

"Anderson."

"How much longer do they have?"i asked, glancing at the clock.

"About fifteen mineuts left." Anderson told me

"Oh look!" I pointed to the black lake, where bubbles were coming up. "That's Cedric! I know it!"

Sure enough, Ced came up from the water, wand in one hand, cho in the other, gasping for breath.

"Cedric!! Great job!"

I ran over to him as he sat and dried himself off.

"You came in first Ced! You won!"

He smiled. "Great!"

"You...like cho?"

"Not much, no." He said, smiling. "I just acted like it so they wouldn't pick someone too important to me. Like you."

"Oh. Stop it you. Anyways, i told you you'd do great!"

"You told me so."

Just then, Fleur came up with a girl, and Viktor came up a few seconds after, sporting Hermione.

"Where's Harry?" Cedric asked "I saw him, not five mineuts ago. Underwater."

"I don't know. Maybe the Merpeople got a hold of him."

"Oh gosh."

He's got five mineuts left to get up here with Ron and Fleur's sister. C'mon!

"Wooo!!!" The gryffindor stand broke into cheers as Harry shot out of the water with two other bodies. He flopped on the wood with a loud 'thud!'.

"There we have it! The first task is finished!"

Cedric and i walked to the main stands to meet up with the others.

"In fourth place, we have Mr. Viktor Krum!" Dumbledore spoke

"In third place, Fleur Delacour!" He paused for a few moments "And the judge have decided, that for saving not only one, but two people, Harry Potter is second. That means, Cedric Diggory gets first place, for outstanding use of the bubble mouth charm!!"

Cedric grinned as we all clapped and cheered for him. It was excellent!

"You did amazing Cedric!" I said

I scowled when cho chang came over.

"Thanks Cedric, for saving me."

"No problem..." He laughed nervously

Cho eyed me up an down before scowling.

"You dont like me. I don't like you, feelings mutual, no need to hide it cho." I said nicely

She 'humped' and walked away from us. Rude much? See, i so didn't like her. At all. She just rubbed me the wrong way, in every way.

Cedric laughed beside me. "Wow. Never seen her be that hateful."

"Yeah. I just dont like her. She's....off."

Cedric was handed some clothes, so he went off to change, and i waited for him.

"Hello, Rose."

"Draco. What do you want?"

"I haven't exactly been the nicest the past months."

"Go figure. I havent spoken to you in forever."

"Look, if your going to be a prude, i'll leave."

"Sorry. Cho chang's got me agitated."

He laughed. Like, actually, genuinely, laughed.

"What did you want? Aren't you afraid of your friends seeing you with a gryffindor?"

"I'm sorry." He whispered in my ear quickly before running off.

Well.

"Hey. I'm back. Thanks for waiting."

"No problem Ced."

"She really agitates you, doesn't she?"

"Yep."

We walked across the bridge to the castle grounds quietly.

"Sonething going on between you and Potter?" Cedric asked

"What? Like...dating?"

"Yeah."

"No! He's my cousin. We're just mad at eachother right now."

"I see. If you see my pygmy puff anywhere...could you bring it home?" He held back a grin

"Of course." I said, myself grinning, "What's it's name, anyways?"

"It's Amos. Like my father. He named it."

"Cool. Has he always run off?"

"Yeah. Little thing won't stay put in my dormitory. Crazy ball of fluff."

"I agree. Where'd you get him? I may get one myself."

"The pet shop in Diagon Alley, actually. He was on sale. Wouldn't let go of my shoulder the entire visit."

"Awww."

"Well, see you later flower. And thanks again. For supporting me."

"No problem Ced. Bye!"

We seperated ways in the hallway, him going the opposite direction. He was such a great friend.

It was friday....maybe i should make a visit to hoegsmade tonight...get some more Red Vines...

"Rose." A hand landed on my shoulder

"Hello Draco. Again. What's wrong?"

"I didn't exactly say it right eairlier. I'm sorry for ignoring you. I've been preoccupied."

"It's okay. I understand. My offer still stands Draco. Would you like to make a visit to hoegsmade?"

"With you?"

"Nah durr." I said

He stayed silent and stared at me, until he decided to walk away. He just walked away from me.

I sighed. "Arrogant prick."

Okay, so the Yule ball is after the second task, wich is next week. School ends in about two months, so next month is when i have to save Cedric and Harry.

And i'm still trying to fix Draco.

"Coo."

"Coo."

"Coo."

"What- Amos!"

I picked up the little ball of fluff, causing him to jump on my shoulder.

"I have to take you to Cedric, Amos. Where could he be?"

"Coo."

"Thanks."

It was, infact, dinner time, so i turned around and made my way to the great hall. Most people were just filing in at this point, so i wasn't late. With Amos on my shoulder, i made my way to the Hufflepuff table, and looked for Cedric.

"Ah!" I found him. He was in the middle with all of his friends.

"Hey, Ced? I've found him."

I placed Amos on his shoulder.

"He was in the second floor corridor."

His friends wolf whistled at me and him before i walked off and sat with Ron and Hermione.

"Hello." I greeted when i sat down

"Hello, Rose."

"I see your getting cosy with Cedric." Ron said

I slapped him upside the head. "Just because he beat you in quidditch last year, and he's like, the second smartest person in school, doesn't mean you have to hate him."

"I'm sorry! I was just asking."

I laughed and looked down at my plate of food.

"Your so stupid-" i looked up and saw that Draco was staring at me from the slytherin table.

Why do i care?

"Why's that git staring at you?" Hermoine asked

"No idea. He's not so much of a git." I reasoned

Ron and Hermoine scoffed. "Bloody hell." Ron said. "You've gone soft for Draco."

'I wish you knew the reason why. I wish i knew the reason why.' I thought

"Can't i have friends outside of Gryffindor?"

"Not if it's Malfoy. Ugh."

"Yeah, well, you need to make up with your best friend, Ronald. Your acting childish."

"How?"

"You'd have to be completly bonkers to want to compete. Especially Harry. He never wanted the fame, and you and Hermione of all people should know that." I reasoned

"Well...." He stuttered.

"I think i made my point. Hey, mail's here!"

I spotted Gylfie, and she came soaring down infront of me, dropping a package.

"Who would send me something?" I asked

She gave me a peck on my finger, took a few chips, and flew off. Strange owl.

"Coo."

The coo was muffled.

"No way!"

I opened the package, and on the inside was a bright green pygmy puff, with a bag of Red Vines.

"Awww."

"Who's it from?" Ron asked, reaching for the Red Vines.

"Dont touch. It has no note, just a package. These remind me, want to go to hoegsmade with me?"

"Sure! What are you going to name it?" Hermoine asked

I turned my head over my shoulder to see Cedric looking at me. He winked.

"I'm going to name it Ced." I said

"Look at you. Why can't you two snog already?" Hermione asked

"Woah! Where did that come from? I've never heard such a thing. Is Viktor getting to you?"

"Nooo...."

"Awww."

"Viktor Krum? The seeker?" Ron asked

"No need to be jealous." I whispered in his ear

"What?"

"Let's go to hoegsmade, shall we?"

I put the bag of Red Vines in my bag, grabbed Ced, and walked out with Ron and Hermoine.

I wasn't part of the golden Trio, and i was fine with that. I was off to the side, just a helper. Im happy where i am.

"My treat tonight guys." I said. "And no, you cant buy the whole store of Honeydukes Ron."

"Aww."

"Anybody else join the orginization Hermoine?"

"Yeah. I got a hufflepuff eairlier."

"Sweet. Now we have five."

"Coo."

"Make that six. Ced seems interested."

I pet the little thing on my shoulder as he happily cooed.

"It's so cute! I may have to get one." Said Hermoine

"I know."

"And idea who got it for you?" Ron asked

"A small one..."

"Pray tell." Hermoine asked

"A certain Hufflepuff..."

"Oh! So Cedric gave it to you?"

"I think...."

"Ohhh! Just snog already." Hermoine gushed

"Ohhh! Just snog Viktor already!" I gushed back

"Aww. No fair. Who do i snog?" Ron asked

"Uhhhh....i don't know." Hermoine said

"You don't know? That's a first." Ron said

"Oh hush. How about a butterbeer?" I asked

"Yeah. I could use one."

We walked inside the three broomsticks, and sat down at a table.

"Coo."

"Can i play with him?" Ron asked

"Of course."

"I want one...."

"Cedric said you could get them in the pet store in Diagon Alley."

"They probably cost alot."

"I'll get them." I offered

"No way. I can't let you do that."

"Well, i'm going to."

Yeah. Might as well do all i can. I may not live to see twenty years old.
