sage carter stood on the side of the road, waiting for the traffic to pass by.

she sees a gap and crosses over the road.

she knew exactly where she was, and exactly where she was going, for the first time in forever.

she makes her way towards the restaurant, the one from the photo that he had posted on twitter, him and his friends all stood outside, arms round shoulders and big grins.

as she nears the area she pulls the hood of her jacket over her head, it was a good hood which covered most her face, not allowing people to see the 'missing' girl who hid below.

she gets to the restaurant, recognising the sign. she leans up the wall outside for a moment, breathing in deeply, before looking inside. and sure enough all 9 boys sat round a huge table talking and eating.

there was her best friend- vik, vlogging his friends for his channel.

her cuddle buddy- jj, laughing loudly about something someone said.

her shoulder to cry on- josh, simply eating and then taking the piss out of everyone.

her funny laugher- ethan, he was laughing too, most likely annoying everyone else in the restaurant.

her helper- tobi, he was showing vik something on his phone, most likely pokemon related.

her joke master- harry, he was most likely the one making ethan and jj laugh like hyena's.

her giant- cal(freezy), he was taking the piss out of someone on his phone with harry, laughing at ethan and jj's laughs.

her prankster- cal(lux), he was joking with tobi about pokemon, showing off his collection.

and finally her saviour- simon, he was the only one sitting in silence, slowly eating his meal and taking a swig of his drink every now and then.

he was the only one who noticed her.

he looked up, his eyes meeting her through the glass, he was sure it was her, standing there in the rain, watching them all, it had to be her.

he stands up quickly, his friends look up at him confused.

"simon, where are you going?" asks josh, standing up to follow.

"i saw her," he replies quickly, pulling on his jacket as he pushed open the door.

by the time he got outside she was gone, but he could see a hooded figure running down the street. he narrowed his eyes to watch, and suddenly their hood fell, revealing long, golden hair. and he knew, straight off, that was her.

his friends had by now poured out onto the street, pulling hoods over their heads.

simon takes not a moment longer, starting to run after her.

sage, up ahead, looks over her shoulder to see him running after her, she picks up the pace, almost slipping on the wet cobblestone floor as she turned off the street onto a main road.

simon was faster than sage, and had already closed the distance by half- sage would just have to be smarter.

she checked over her shoulder again, seeing him come round the corner, she spins round only to be met by someones chest. she lands on top of them, simon closes the gap, running her way. she scrambles to her feet, running faster than she was before.

simon notices she dropped something, taking a moment to grab it, before running again. he wasn't even close to losing breath yet.

he just kept running, and so did she.

back at the restaurant the remaining boys were looking round at each other confused.

"go get the car," josh says to vik, throwing him his keys. vik nods, running to the car park. the two cal's decided to stay back, going back inside to pay for the meal that wouldn't be finished.

tobi, jj and harry all agreed they'd start following simon and her, they all guessed who simon was chasing- though it may just have been someone who looked like her.

sage swung round a corner, into an alleyway and she checked over her shoulder before continuing to run. simon looked up the alleyway, seeing her blonde hair trailing behind her.

he follows her, attempting to catch up.

jj, tobi and harry split up, wanting to cut simon and sage off at different points if they could.

harry followed their most probable path, which was the correct one, jj went left, knowing he might be able to cut them off down one of the other streets, and tobi when straight forwards, heading down long alleyways, shoving aside homeless people and using bins to climb over fences, others he would just climb.

sage finally spotted a potential place to hide, that simon may miss. she turned the corner and hid in the doorway of a building, pushing her back against the wall, holding her breath.

simon burst out of the alleyway, onto the street, swinging round to look about. no sign of her.

he walks forwards, checking about.

suddenly tobi comes out of an alleyway behind him.

"simon, what the hell man?" tobi asks and simon shakes his head.

"i was right on her tail, but i lost her...again," his voice cracks.

sage's eyes start to water at the sound of simon's broken voice.

she holds still as they walk right past her.

she moves out onto the pavement and takes off in the opposite direction.

the two boys hear her, both of them turning round.

"sage!" simon calls, quickly running after her, his body can't take much more running.

ahead, jj turns onto the same street, he was jogging, looking left and right for sage.

sage sees him and cuts into an alleyway, simon follows, jj notices.

jj knows where the alleyway leads and turns round, sprinting down the street in order to get to the end of the alleyway.

sage reaches the end, and as jj had planned, he was stood right there.

sage looks him right in the eyes before noticing the ladder that lead to the roof of the building.

simon stops just behind her and she turns to look at him.

"sage, please," he whispers, his hands reaching up and cupping her freezing cold cheeks.

"simon...don't do this," she says, tears sliding down her cheeks.

it was like heaven to hear each others voices and suddenly harry was stood behind jj, and tobi was stood behind simon.

"i have to go," sage says and simon shakes his head.

"come back to us, come back to me," he whispers, one of his hands moves, touching her soft blonde hair.

"i'm sorry, simon, but i can't," she whispers, her eyes searching his.

"why not? i love you," he says back, and she shakes her head.

"i can't come back, i can't i can't deal with the pain simon, i can't deal with your fans hating me, i can't deal with the jokes and comments people throw our way about us not being able to last," she murmurs, her lips quivering in the cold.

"but its not about them, its about us," he says, his hand moving back to sit on her cheek.

"there is no us, not anymore," she replies, and she attempts to move away.

"sage, please, i love you," he says, tears sliding down his cheeks.

"and i love you, simon, but its just not meant to be, i'm sorry," she says, her tears falling too.

he moves forwards pushing his lips to hers.

the kiss lasts a matter of seconds, before he moves back.

"you dropped this," he says, holding out the envelope.

"its for you anyway," she says, wiping her eyes.

"tell vik i love him too, i love all of you, but i can't be around you anymore," says sage, turning round to look at the boys individually.

"i'm not letting you go," jj says, guarding the entrance with harry.

"me either," says tobi, folding his arms and standing solidly in the way.

"tobi, move aside," simon instructs and tobi ignores him.

simon walks towards him and tobi looks into his eyes.

"why are you letting her go?" tobi asks and simon shakes his head.

"because i love her," he says, shoving tobi aside, giving sage just enough time to rush past.

"i love you, simon," she says, over her shoulder, before she takes off running again, pulling her hood over her head.

"i love you too, sage," he whispers, watching her run round the corner, seeing that golden hair one more time.

"are you a fucking idiot?!" jj shouts, storming towards simon.

"no, i was just giving the girl i love exactly what she wanted, she doesn't want us in her life anymore, and its about time we accepted that," simon shouts back and suddenly josh and vik pull up outside, both cal's and ethan sitting in the back.

"we found her, but simon let her run," says harry as they all jump out the car.

"you let her run?!" asks vik, the anger in his voice evident.

"it was the right thing to do, she said she loves you vik, she loves us all," simon says and jj throws him a glare.

"well if you weren't such a twat, she's still be here, to say she loves vik," jj hurls at simon and cal(freezy) steps forwards.

"maybe simon was right, if she doesn't want to be here, then its only right we let her go, and what simon did, was the first step to letting her go," cal says, defending simon.

vik shakes his head, tears beginning to stream down his face, "its all right for you! you got to say goodbye! i didn't!"

"i'm sorry, vik," simon says, he knows how he feels.

suddenly jj steps forwards, and he swings his fist straight into simon's nose, knocking him backwards. simon falls, hard, hitting his head harshly off the ground, his nose pouring with blood.

"fuck you, simon," jj mutters, before storming off down the alleyway.

simon's vision blurs, the last thing he sees his cal trying to help him up, but then he totally blacks out.
