Memories Of An Old Life
Willow's eyes have finally opened and her dreams have concluded.
The song above is a slowed down and lower pitch version of 'This Is Gallifrey'.

Burning. Burning. So much fire.
Cornelius. Father. Cornelius. Father.
Time Vortex. Vortex Energy. Bad Wolf.
Koschei. The Master. Koschei. Best friend.
Gallifrey, burning again and again.
Raven.
Willow lied on the floor, seeing images appear in her mind that set her brain on fire. "Doctor, what's happening?! What's happening to her?!" Rose screamed, terrified.
He ignored her, focusing on Willow. "Willow, hey, look at me! Look at me!"
"I- I can't... can't see... can't..."
"Her mind's going into meltdown." The Doctor informed Rose, placing two fingers on her head. "Hey, this is just going to soothe it. Cool it down, ok? Breathe."
Her breath slowed, starting to see the interior of the TARDIS again. She turned to him. "What's happening to me?"
"Willow, it's hard to explain." He stated.
"What's wrong with me?" asked Willow. "Am I dying? Am I going to die?"
"If you stay human, yes."
She froze, unsure what he meant. Rose glanced over at him. "What are you talking about?"
The Doctor had to tell them, they had a right to know. He looked back down at her. "Willow, I know this is going to sound hard to believe but..." He paused, hesitant. "You're not human. You never were."
"What do you mean?" She questioned. "I am human. I was born as a human."
"No, you weren't." The Doctor continued. "You became a human twenty-four years ago when you escaped the Time War and regenerated into a baby, removing all your memories of your past life."
Her eyes widened as did Rose's. "But that makes me a..."
"Yes," He confirmed. "Willow, you're a Gallifreyan. A Timelord, or lady if you'd rather."
It sounded hard to believe but it made sense. Willow had dreams about the TARDIS, Gallifrey and having the power of the Time Vortex. All this time, the dreams were just memories breaking out.
The Doctor took ahold of her wrist, displaying her silver bracelet with the amber gem in the middle. "This is the key to your memories. It's called a Chameleon Cloak, it shrouds your true species and makes you human as long as you wear it. The amber gem in the middle is made of your memories, the ones you took out of mind after you put it on. Your father created it."
"My father?"
"Cornelius." He answered. "He was highly known in Gallifrey as an inventor and he had a young daughter, who was you."
She didn't know what to say, she was shocked. All her life she thought she was an ordinary human girl, turns out she was so much more. "What's happening to me?"
"There are still remnants of Time Vortex energy in your body that I didn't take out and, because you're currently human, they're killing you."
"I don't remember that."
"You didn't but it's still in the back of your mind." The Doctor informed. "Most of your memories have been seeping through ever since you first touched the TARDIS when I blew up Henriks." He pointed to her bracelet again. "The gem was broken, meaning your memories have been slowly coming back to you. You never noticed because you couldn't see it. It had a perception filter on it."
Her pain was slowly coming back, causing her to squeeze her eyes closed. "Help me..."
"There's only one way I can," He admitted. "You have to remember and become a Timelord again."
"But what will happen to me?" wondered Willow.
"You'll still be you with just a little extra, I promise." He assured her. "It's your choice. You can either choose to die or accept it."
"How can I do that?"
He dug his nail under the gem, removing it and handing it to her. "All you have to do is crush it, then all your memories will return. Then you can take off the bracelet and you'll become like me."
"What if I just take it off now?" She asked. "You don't know what I've seen inside my head."
"I know it hurts. Believe me, I know." The Doctor held her hand, reassuring her. "But if you want these dreams to be over, then you must do this."
Willow gazed down at the gem she was holding, it had a few cracks in it but she could see small bits of glowing orange dust floating out. If she breaks this then her memories will be restored and she'll remember her life before. This was it, the end of her dreams, but at what cost?
She took a deep breath, looking up at Rose who was silent. She didn't seem too sure either but bobbed her head, always approving of any decision she made. Willow glanced back at the gemstone, finally making her choice. She crushed it, creating bright orange dust that floated upwards before seeping into her eyes and skin, showing her everything.
"No, you have to come with me!" She yelled, grabbing onto his shoulders. "I can't leave you!"
He stroked her hair "You have to. I am granting you a new life where you can start over and forget about me, forget about all the pain you've endured. You will be a different person and... finally be happy."
Cornelius stuck his thumb into his mouth and reached up to her forehead, rubbing the black ash off her skin. "Goodbye, my Raven." His lips touched her forehead, and, in the blink of an eye, he was gone.
Willow went through every emotion. From distress to joy, then to sadness. She looked up at Rose, tears streaming from her eyes. "He's gone..."
"Who's gone?" She asked. However, she did not respond, only embracing her as she cried.

She sat on the TARDIS chair, staring into nothingness. Willow had only been silent, her bracelet or Chameleon Cloak as he called it had been taken off. Honestly, she didn't know how to react to anything anymore. Her life was so questionable now, and she still did not know the answer.
The Doctor dropped down beside her. "So, how old are you really?"
"897." She stated, chuckling under her breath. "I guess we don't have a huge age gap anymore."
He nodded, pausing. "The Master talked about you, except I never realised who he was talking about though. Never uttered your name."
"He was told not to." She informed him. "I was under the protection of my father for years because the High Council thought I could be useful as a weapon. I can't entirely remember how I escaped but I found myself walking through the halls of the Citidel, without my father. I was so scared." Willow reminisced. "Then, he found me and took me home. Never even went to the Academy, only studied at home from then on."
"They weren't the best people." The Doctor remarked. "I can remember that me and my friends would always get in trouble. It was mostly the Master's fault, he was busy crushing on you."
"Yeah, I never realised how big of a crush he had on me though. He was a good friend until the Timelords made him go insane." She added to the conversation.
"He was never the same after that."
She turned her head. "Why do you call him by his alias? His name is Koschei."
The Doctor huffed. "You do realise how many crimes he has committed on both Gallifrey and Earth?"
"He was always kind to me. He was my only friend." Willow sighed, hesitating for a moment. "So, the Last of the Timelords. What do we do now?"
***
So, Willow is now a Timelord or Timelady, I don't really care. I'll just refer to Willow as a Timelord.
I hope you enjoyed that! I just had a quick look over The Girl Who Forgot and I have decided, after this, I am making some big edits to the story.
See you next time for... you know what...
