August 15
"Nova," Hermione called shaking her best friend awake.
"Fuck off."
"Nova," Hermione persisted.
Today was Harry and Nova's wedding. It started in twelve hours and Nova was refusing to wake up.
After Game Night, Nova had taken a potion. The potion she planned on taking the first time she took the following morning. She and Harry decided to wait a few years before welcoming a child into the world.
"Bitch, get out of bed!" Ginny yelled, ripping the covers off of a sleeping Nova. "You need to wake up."
"Let me sleep," Nova groaned as she curled into her pillow.
"No," Fleur said levitating Nova from the bed. "It's your wedding day-"
"That's not for another twelve hours!" Nova whined.
"And you need to get ready!" Hermione stated.
"Who the fuck needs twelve hours to get ready?" Nova demanded.
The doors flew open and Minerva McGonagall walked through. Her emerald green robes billowed behind her and her face was stern.
"You do," She said. "Now quit your whining. You're getting married today. Are you to tell me you aren't excited?"
Nova crossed her arms from where she was suspended in the air.
"Of course I am!" she stated. "I'm just tired!"
"Maybe you shouldn't have stayed up reading a book you know by heart," Ginny scoffed.
"I didn't intend to!" Nova objected. "Reading calms my nerves. I only meant to read one chapter. One lead to two. Two lend to three and so forth."
"We haven't got time to waste!" Hermione said as Fleur slowly lowered Nova to the ground. "In the tub you go."

"Theo," Draco hissed. "What the bloody hell is that?"
A lone black bear rolled on the floor happily with a pink tutu around it's waist.
"The ring bear," He said as if it were obvious.
Draco ran a hand through his blonde hair before pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Teddy is the ring bear," Blaise stated.
"No, Teddy is a child," Theo said with complete confusion, furrowing his brow.
"No. Teddy is the person carrying the ring," Draco stated.
"Then why the hell did you tell me to get the ring bear?"
"We meant to go grab Teddy!" Blaise exclaimed.
"He's right there!" Theo pointed his pale finger at the boy on the floor.
Slowly Draco and Blaise turn to see a purple haired Teddy Lupin playing with a black bear. Their eyes widened in absolute horror.
"So . . ." Draco began. "I value life. We should definitely not tell Nova we let her child play with a black bear."
"Agreed."

Harry, Neville, Ron, Bill, Charlie, Fred, and George all sat in one of the many rooms at Potter Manor. Harry was pacing back and forth.
"What if she runs away?" Harry fretted. His suit jacket was not buttoned up as he ran a hand through his hair. "What if she says she doesn't love me? What if I mess up my vows? What if I tied my tie wrong? How do you even tie a tie?"
"Harry, mate," Ron spoke up bravely. "You aren't wearing a tie."
Remus snorted loudly. He started laughing so hard tears started to form in his eyes.
"Right," Harry nodded. "I'm not wearing a tie."
"What in Merlin's name are you boys doing in here?" Minerva McGonagall demanded as she stormed into the room. "You're supposed to be ready!"
"We are ready, Prof-" Ron began.
"Then why aren't you out there?" Minerva hissed.
"What if she says no?" Harry murmmered, voicing all his doubts. "What if-"
"Harry, has Nova actually given you a reason to think she'll leave you?" Bill asked, becoming annoyed.
"No-"
"Then stop your bitching," Minnie stated. "Boys, go welcome the guests. Mr. Potter, fix your jacket. It's a wedding for Merlin's sakes! Not a rave!"
Fred, Neville, George, Bill, Charlie, and Ron left.
Minerva turned to Harry.
"Don't worry, Harry," She offered a small smile. "You're still doing better than your father on his wedding day."
"She called you out!" Alex shouted.
"Go, Minni! Go!" Regulus cheered.
"What-?"
"He cried three times before he even got to the alter. Tears of joy of course," She informed. "Nearly fainted at the alter when he got there."
"That's embarrassing!" Lily snorted.
"And my mother?"
"She need three calming potions."
"Oh! I'm embarrassing!" James rolled his eyes.
"How's Nova?" Harry asked as he adjusted his jacket.
"I think the nerves are finally setting in," Minnie said. "Speaking of which, I must go."
Minerva moved to leave but stopped.
"Your parents would be proud of you, Harry."
And she was gone.

"What if I trip?" Nova whispered to Minnie as she ran her clamy hands down the white fabric of her dress. "I'm a fucking clutz when I'm nervous. I'm going to trip."
"You won't trip," Minnie reassured.
"What if I walk too fast? Too slow?"
"You won't."
"How do you-"
"I just know, Nova," Minnie sent her a warm smile. "I'll see you in the audiance-"
"Minnie," Nova began faintly. "I know it's last minute, but I was wondering. Will-would you like to walk me down the isle?"
Minnie stopped.
"I mean neither of my dads are here. And I know it's generally a tradition given to the fathers," Nova rambled. "And I have no problem walking myself. I just thought-well since you've been a mother to me for years, I just thought mabe you could-"
"I'll walk you down th isle, Nova," Minnie nodded.
Nova sent her a smile.
Hermione, Nova's maid of honor, walked through the doors in her long red silk dress. Her hair was subjected to Fleamont Potter's potion as her curls were just that; curls.
"We're ready," Hermione smiled before she left.
After their venue was compromised by the press a total of five times, Harry and Nova decided to get married in their backyard. Potter Manor has a very scenic yard with a large and beautiful willow tree.
Speaking of the press, their wedding was under strict security. They didn't want anyone more than the people they invited to come.
"She's so grown up!" Sirius sobbed. "It seems like just yesterday she was causing mischief-"
"That was yesterday," Regulus butt in.
"-and laughing-"
"It was yesterday," Lily rolled her eyes.
"It seems like just yesterday," Sirius continued to cry. "She was that baby girl with wide honey eyes!"
"Yeah okay . . ." Tonks said. "That wasn't yesterday."
The music began to play and Nova emerged with Minerva McGonagall.
Harry's eyes immediately fell on Nova. He didn't evenspare Minnie a glance.
The top part of her golden hair was pulled into an elegant bun while the rest flowed freely in perfect curls. She wore a simply white dress, but it was stunning. A very thin silver belt ran around her waist as a small cluster of jewels met in the middle. The same jewels also decorated her thin straps. Her neckline dipped slightly, showing very little cleavage, if any at all. Diamond earings hung from her ears and the bracelet Harry had given her for her birthday proudly decorate her wrist.
Harry beamed as tears sprung in his eyes.
Honey eyes met green and the world slipped away.
A sobs escaped Remus's throat.
"Are you . . .crying?"
"No!" he said with tears falling from his eyes. "You're the one that's crying! I'm not crying! Why would I be crying?"
Nova passed a row of seats that were empty. She wondered who they belonged to. Her question was answered when she saw the name cards.
Sirius Black.
Remus Lupin.
James Potter.
Lily Potter.
Dorcas Meadows.
Marlene Mckinnon.
Regulus Black.
Alastor Moody.
Nymphadora Lupin.
Ted Tonks.
Nova fought the sad tears that were threatening to spill, knowing Ginny will murder her for messing up her mascara.
Seeing as it was night . . .for certain reasons . . .fairy lights were strung behind Harry and Nova. Lights were floating all about. Nyx laid in the distance, enjoying the wedding.
Out of the corner of her eye, Nova saw Dudley with Petunia Dursley. Dudley had a date next to him as they looked around in awe.
"Ladies and gentlemen," Kingsley began. "We are gathered here today to celebrate the union of two faithful souls."
The Cullens stood in the back. Everyone was deeply confused when they saw Cedric Diggory, a boy who was meant to be dead. Thankfully, those who were present understood after a few questions. This was another reason why Harry and Nova only wished to have the Weasleys, Dean, Seamus, Narcissa, Draco, Theo, Blaise, Andromeda, and a few other people.
Nova nearly had a heart attack when Teddy came in with the rings, riding on the bear.
"Do you, Harry James, take Nova Lily to be your wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part?"
"I do."
Ginny, who had been glaring at Harry almost as if daring him to say 'no' from her place behind Hermione, beamed happily.
"Do you, Nova Lily, take Harry James to be your wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part?"
"I do."
"Then I declare you bonded for life." Kingsley's deep and rich voice said.
He raised his wand high over the heads of Harry and Nova and a shower of silverstars fell upon them, spiralling around their now entwined figures. As Fred and George led a round ofapplause, the golden balloons overhead burst: birds of paradise and tiny, golden bells flew and floatedout of them, adding their songs and chimes to the din.
James, Sirius, and Remus were officially sobbing. Not just crying. Sobbing. Their faces were red and blotchy as tears ran from their eyes.
After the guests applauded, Nova kissed Harry's cheek before turning to her boys.
"Blaise. Theo. Draco." she looked at them. "Care to explain why Teddy is riding on a bear?"
"Her name is Gina and she's his friend." Theo tried.
"It's Theo's fault," Blaise and Draco said in unison.
Nova's left eye began to twitch and Theo backed up.
"Mumma!" Teddy called as the bear, Gina, ran towards them. "I made a friend!"
"So I've heard," Nova smiled as she lifted Teddy. Gina the bear sat happily at Nova's feet.
"Looks like Harry is going to have to fight another animal for Nova's attention," Dorcas remarked.
Everyone found their seats at the tables. Nova and Harry had their own table, but Teddy insisted upon sitting with them. So the boy with turquoise hair sat to Nova's left.
Ron stood up, grabbing everyone's attention.
"I'm Ron," Hermione facepalmed. "My girlfriend told me of this tradition muggles have where the best man gives a speech. I thought I'd attempt it."
Nova did not like the smirk that formed on his face.
"Let's start off with Harry," Ron said. "Now Harry has been my best mate for eight years. And let me tell you those eight years have been nothingless than eventful. But they've been wonderful.
"Nova became friends with us after we fought a troll. I remember her breaking my nose that day. She told me once that one day I'll see how wonderful Hermione is, and she was right. She's smart to say the least, and that's one thing Harry has grown to love over the years."
Ron paused, forgetting where he was going with it.
"If you asked Harry when he fell in love with Nova, he'd give you some rubbish of an answer," Ron chuckled slightly. "If I had to take a guess, I'd say he was taken by her when she strutted into our compartment looking for a toad. Perhaps before that judging by Sirius's photo album we found. Yes, Nova, we will be seeing those photos later."
"Hehe," Sirius giggled. "They're going to be hella embarrassed."
"Anyways, he was taken by her the moment she entered. I'd say he fell in love with her when she showed no care in the fact he was Harry Potter. Perhaps it was when she left the compartment, telling him his tie needed to be fixed. Maybe even the first prank Nova pulled on Snape during first year. My point is, it was before the troll incident.
"It was rather painful seeing Harry ignore his feelings." Ron stated. "Being his best mate meant I had to hear his three hour rants on her rose shampoo. And let me tell you I considered taking Moldy's job.
"Harry, I don't care if you're my best mate, I will murder you if you fuck this up."
Molly scolded her son for the use of voulger words while Nova was laughing her arse off at Harry's red face.
It all went silent when Hermione stood.
"I remember walking into the compartment Nova sat in looking for Neville's toad. She was with Blaise and Theo. She was relaxed with the boys. The moment I arrived, she tensed and shut me out." Hermione noted. "It takes a lot for Nova to open up. I'm glad that I'm one of the few people she chose to let into her heart. I'm even happier she found someone that understands her. Harry, you are that person."
After Hermione's surprisingly short speech, Fred stood up.
"I will not be giving a speech."
"Thank Merlin-"
"Instead, a few friends of the newly weds have devised a some pictures of the two over the years." Fred smirked. "I thought it'd be a wonderful time to show everyone."
Nova groaned.
"Don't worry, Noxxy-"
"Don't call me that, Theodore."
"-they're not all bad!"
Hermione had started the slide show.
It was similar to Nova's locket but with pictures. Some of them were videos, but it wasn't to that point yet.
The first picture showed a new-born baby Harry in James Potter's arms as tears slid down his face.
"No! Minnie, not that one!" James groaned.
The next picture showed Sirius Black full out sobbing as he looked at his daughter.
"Minnie, why?"
A picture of Nova on the back of a stag while Harry was on a dog's back.
The next picture showed Lily Potter and Nova dancing in the living room of the Lupin Cottage. Both females were wearing tiars and pink boas.
The next was of the day Remus tried to cook mac and cheese, totally screwing it. Harry looked down at the bowl and back up at Remus with the face that clearly asked: "What the fuck is this?"
There was a considerably large time jump to the next picture. It showed Harry, Nova, Ron, and Hermione at the End of The Year Feast with large smiles on their faces. It wasn't long after they defeated Quirrel.
The next showed Fred's memory of Nova beating the absolute shit out Draco Malfoy after he called Hermione the m-word. You could see Harry off to the side in absolute shock and awe.
Nova laughing at Harry's attempt at dancing was shone next.
The memories and photos continued. Some were of the Marauders. Some were of Nova with her dads. Some were of Harry with Sirius and Remus. Some were of Nova and Harry at the parties.
One of the particularly hilarious memories was of karaoke night. Hermione, Ginny, and Nova all had their ties around their necks as they sang.
There was a photo of Harry and Shadow glaring heatedly at each other.
Minnie stood as the last photo faded.
"I knew both of their parents," she said. "They were perhaps my favorite students-"
An explosion sounded to Nova's right.
"Seamus!" Ginny hissed. "You've gotten cake all over Luna!"
"Sorry," Seamus said sheepishly.
"Moving on from Mr. Finnigain's knack for pyrotechnis," Minnie rolled her eyes.
Seamus apologized once more.
"Their parents were my favorite students, despite not suposing to have any. There was Sirius the play boy troublemaker that was clearly gay, but we didn't have the talk yet. When I heard he was the one that betray Lily and James, I couldn't believe it. There was no possible way, but that's what the fact pointed to. Sirius was about as loyal as they come.
"James was his brother by all but blood. They were always seen together, never one with out the other. Their smirks and troublemaker grins almost mirror Harry and Nova's. James spent five years of his Hogwarts life trying to get Lily Evans, Harry's mother, to go out with him. Finally, during their sixth year, he matured. He became one of the most noble people I know.
"Remus was believed to be the innocent one. He was not. He ended up being behind half their pranks. The master mind. The brains.
"Lily always tried hard in school. She felt the need to prove the magic she possessed was not wasted on her. She excelled in school, particularly potions. A talent that, unfortunately, was not passed to her son. Despite trying to prove her worth, she was selfless. One of the most selfless people I have ever met.
"Now I say almost and of the top in each of their characteristics because I've seen better. I've seen their traits in their children." Minnie stated. "I see James's nobility and Lily's selflessness in Harry. Nova is just as, if not more, loyal than Sirius with Remus's brains.
"Seeing as none of them can physically be here today, I thought I'd make it my job to tell the newly weds their parents would be very proud of them. Nova, I'm sure your fathers would have sobbed when they saw you."
"No we didn't!"
"I'd also like to say that I will retire the day I hear I have to deal with another one of the Marauder Offspring. I cannot deal with anymore grey hairs upon my head," Minnie joked. "You've already given me enough."
Minnie did not retire when the next of the Marauder Offspring came to Hogwarts, and they caused more mayhem than their grandparents and parents combined.

"Where are we going?" Nova asked as she sat in the passenger seat of the car.
"The Caribbean," Harry said as he started the car (he learned how to drive). "Hermione picked it."
"Right," Nova nodded. "If I see a jellyfish, I'm keeping it."
