Chapter 5

"I been up for two whole days thinking what I did to keep you going
Thumbing through the voicemails that you left me telling me where I went wrong
I'll admit I'm sorry when I feel I'm truly sorry
Things change, people change, feelings change too
Never thought the circumstances woulda changed you

But either way you're still invited and I can't even lie to you"

I patted my makeup brush lightly on my makeup pallet. I applied the light hue of brown on my inner eye, slightly over the darker brown to resemble a light smokey eye.

"Swear these days all you say is come and see me for once

All she hit me with is come and see me for once

You don't ever come to me, you don't ever come to me"

I grabbed my liquid eye liner and drew the line gracefully, creating a super smooth and perfect wing. I set it down and stared at my final look in the mirror.

"Why you gotta start girl, why you gotta start?
I know we make time for the things that we want
I know you got another ... tryna play the part

Could be standing in the field, and he still ain't in the field
If anything should change then I thought we had a deal
Lately you keep questioning what you get out the deal
Doing things to make me feel the way I make you feel
How hard is it to let you know when I'm coming home
That way you can be prepared, maybe take a couple sick days and not miss pay
I don't even know what things are looking like inside of your place and how it's decorated
This thing is getting one-sided, i can't even lie to you right now"

I stood up from the seat and walked over to my bed, where my outfit perfectly lays. The music suddenly stops and is replaced with a ring tone. Claire's ring tone.

I picked up the phone and saw an incoming face time from Claire. She probably wants to know what outfit I'm wearing tonight.. I answered the phone, showing my face in the screen.

"Hey girl!! OMG your makeup is lit!"

I rolled my eyes. "You really think so? I gotta say yours looks better." And it really does. The perfect hue of green blended with some Browns and blacks, finishing with a strong wing.

"Yeah ok. Let's just say we are going to blow their eyes off!" She giggled.

"That sound so wrong on so many levels!" I titled my head back, laughing and clutching my stomach.

"Okay okay yes I know! So. What are you going to wear?" I knew she'd ask that.

"Um I don't know, my night out dress or..." I flipped my camera around and faced it to my black pleated dress, laying on my bed.

"Yes! Wear that one, then I'll wear my green dress too!" She flipped her camera to reveal her green pencil dress. "It was my original plan either way."

"Great! What shoes now? Should I wear my black flats or my black Luey?"
I hovered my phone over my black flats and my black pointed Louboutin. 

"Let's wear the flats for now, don't want to scare these guys just yet. On your second date you can wear your loey." She pulled out a pear of black flats that paired perfectly with her dress. "These?"

I nodded my head, "And wear a black necklace too!"

She nodded her head, "I'm going to finish getting ready. What time are they going to pick us up?"

"I actually told them that they didn't have to bother, I'm going to pick you up instead," I checked the clock that was hanging on the wall across from my bed, ten till six. "I'll pick you up in an hour. See ya then!" I hung up, playing my music again.

"Hey Emily, how you doing sweetheart?"I spun around, surprised at who stood at the door.

"Mom! I thought you were working a whole day today?" I pulled her in a hug.

"Yeah well they let me off early. So, where are you going to be at?"

I undressed quickly, pulling on my dress and pointed at the unzipped back, for my mom to zip it up, "oh just the usual, Scott, Jack, Claire and I are going to the local bar for a hang night."

"Ooh so is this a double date?"she teased. I let out a historical laugh, shrugging my shoulders. Mom giggled quietly and left the room. I sat down on my bed and slid on my flats. I looked at my outfit in the mirror, pleased with my look. I don't look great, but I do look good. I put on a simple necklace paired with a pair of studs, accompanied by some rings. I finished off with a little bit of some lipgloss. I checked the clock. 6:45. If Claire isn't ready by the time I get there we might even loose our reservation. I grabbed my shoulder bag and threw my keys, lipstick, my usual necessities, and my phone.

"Bye mom! See you later!" I gave her a kiss and a hug at the door.

"Be careful and have fun! Oh and don't be home Tooooo late!" My mom teased. I gave a small laugh and exited out of the front door.

"Let's go pick up Claire!" I said to myself once I got in the car. I connected my phone to the car, playing my favorite songs.

Hey my lovie readers! I know it's been a VERY long time since I posted, and I have a very good excuse but I know you won't take it anyways.

I decided to put some songs in here, and these are some of my favorites too.
