10: Her True Form

Brian found himself looking for answers, and trekked back to the house on 34th Street.

As quick as he could, he found his way to the back door of the old, broken down building and entered, only to find Ann coming down the stairs. A nervous smile spread across her face.

"Br-Brian... Didn't expect to see y-you here..."

Brian raised an eyebrow, but then looked over and spotted Cody dead on the floor.

"A-Ann-"

His eyes widened as he felt a blade pressed against his throat.

"Ann, what's gotten into you!?" He choked out.

She laughed. "Oh this? I've always been like this. Guess I hid it so well..." She said, smiling. "But now you know who I truly am."

Brian then pushed the girl off of him and flipped around. The boy kneed her in the stomach, causing her to drop her knife, and then took off running.

Since he knew Ann was at the back door, he knew he had to make a run for the front door.

He made it to the front door, and then tried to pull the door open when he remembered it had always been locked. He turned around, only to come face-to-face with Ann, who had a crazed grin on her face.

She attempted to strike him with the knife, but he quickly jumped out of the way and the knife lodged in the door.

As Ann struggled to remove the knife, he ran for the kitchen. But at that moment, Ann gave up on the knife and ran at him before tackling him to the ground.

She gripped his neck and began to strangle Brian, who fought to push her off. But it was no use, and soon, Brian fell limp.

Ann grinned crazily, her bloodshot eyes falling on the necklace around the boy's neck.

She ripped it from his neck and threw it across the room.

She then fell backwards and stared at the rotting wood ceiling.

"I guess there really is a killer on 34th Street."
