At workplace

Right now I typing on laptop and using mouse with one hand. On other hand holding spoon and eating my lunch packed food.

It's lunch time now I was lazy to go canteen to eat there with other colleagues. I already get moody with thinking about how to  rid of keeping dream about my first love.

Suddenly I heard notification sound from my phone. I take and  looked at it what's that.

It message from my best friend Arthi .

Arthi: whatcha doing?

I replied her : working busy....n eating

Next second she call me

"I know now it's your lunchtime period that's why I called you," she said  I only said hmm. 

She continues "you know what Hema is getting married, just now rupa called me and said this, did she call you?"

No , I just replied with one word.

"Ohh she said after me she will call you. Look at hema , she two younger than us but getting married now! She don't know how is single life value. She just now turn 24 and now getting married and get settled." She said.

"It's her choice, how to live her life," I said .

"I know that but why you so grumpy today. Before this you only talk few words. Did u fight with your mom  "Before I replied her. She adds "  Or did you dream about your first love again?"

Both , I shouted slowly to her.
She is my best friend from college. Also she the only person knows my dreaming story. I never shared this to anyone.

"Ohh this is your problem. I know answers for your problems." She said with confidence.

" What is that ?" I ask her  the answers .

" It's dating." She shouts

" What heck are you talking about now?" I  annoyed by her.

" You didn't dating anyone right now that's why you keeping dreaming about him ." I know she state the truths. But right now ......

"Do you want me to set you up with someone ? I know a great guy. Just give it a chance" she ask me . she already did like this when we were on college . Set me up with some guys. But me , end up break up with them in few days. 

I thought on mind " can I give a chance to this. Just today i think about rid of dreaming him. 

My mindvoice told me: just give it a try

Then I decided and said to mindvoice Okay.

"Is he handsome?" I ask her . I want to know about the guy she set me up to .

" Of course he's handsome . I don't waste on ugly guys you know."she always like this. "Ohh just like your boyfriend." I just mocked her.

But she didn't care about my comment "Rakesh is handsome and cute." She continues

"He is great guy and good looking too.
Do you want me send you his photo?" She asks me.

Haha, fine. I replies then hang up phone and continue work. But in mind I thinking about do I really have to go the blind date.

Few days later.....

At a coffee shop

You are dead today Arthi...😡😡😡 I send message to Arthi using phone at under table. Outside I look with full smile face but inside  I regrets for coming here today.

Last night Arthi send his photo after our call. He look good there in photo. But now he sitting infront of me like don't know how to describe him.

First look: He has thick beard on his face that hide his half face.He didn't have shave from long time. He looks different from photo I have seen . He look good there.

Second is his dressing: he just wearing a polo t-shirt and black pant. Also , he wearing glasses.

Totally he different from the photo. If anyone photoshop his photo without his knowledge.

Here I dress up formally a person how they dress up. I asks him"You look different in real from photo I have seen." I want him to clear my doubts.

I know he affect by my question. When I asks him he first shock and look at my eyes for a few seconds.
Then he answered"i know why you asking, these days I work all day and night so didn't have time to dress up today. I have to go to office after this. Sorry."

"If you have that busy you can postponed date." I said .

"I thought but...." He stops halfway and smile at me. "It's okay ..." Right now I can say only this to him. I myself in mind said don't worry boy we will never meet after this.

Today I get two things. One, I regrets for coming here today. Second is I fooled by my friend.

After we talked, he get a call. He answered it . He talks few minutes then hang up. " I have to go office , my boss called me now. So I have to leave now . Is it okay for you? He said fastly all this.

"Yeah, it's okay for me,"I replied him with a smile. But inside the smile for get escape from him. Suddenly I remember one thing...

"What's your name?" I don't know his name. Arthi didn't say his name to me.
He gets up to leave . When I ask him he stops and turn to me " u don't know my name?" He ask with shock .

"I only know your face. My friend didn't say your name to me."I said.
"Oh it's Dev" he said. I didn't hear probably him "huh, what's that."

My name is DEV. He said loudly and went away.

On the way to home I called Arthi .

"You said he great guy for his name haan?" I irritated by the blind date.

I continues " he only look good in photos, not in real. He is not the  type of I want." I showered her through the call with my disappointment.

She cut me off" he not like that I know him for a while. He truly great  guy. Nowadays  he so  busy with work that why I suggest him blind date for a change of mind." She said everything fastly and didn't let me interrupt.

"For his change of mind . You want fool me in this. It's second time I fooled by you before in college you do like this also." I literally shouted at her  loudly.

"Hey just calm down and listen to me. He's truly great guy. Give him a second chance.If u find it as lie then go ask my boyfriend Rakesh . Dev is his cousin you know. He knows him more than me." I just calm down by her words.

"Hey sorry for shouted but now I trying to forget Karthick. It's already big issue for me . But you give me an extra one . I'm just become insane by all this."I trying her to understand my situation.

"I know your situation. But you have to give him a second chance. You get to know him more . He can also help you to forget Karthick." She's trying make for give him a second chance.

Then I think : do I really have to give him another chance?

I replied her with " I will think about it," and hang up. Then I reached home. I open the door and find it is locked so mom was went out.

I have extra key so I open with it .I sit on the sofa to take rest. Few minutes the main door opened by my mom.

She looked at me "oh you came home." I asks her " where you went maa?" " No outside. I just went to seventh floor." She said and went into
kitchen.

Huh, seventh floor? I thought when I first hear it.  I went behind my mom. I asks her" why you went there?"
She answered me " that's Karthick death anniversary is coming, nah! Karthick's mom want me help her with prayers things."

Yeah it's his his eighth dead anniversary is coming.
