Rachel's POV

"Nicole! Come here, you'll be spotted from where you stand!" Ella pulled Nicole to hide behind a pillar.

Shaking my head, I wondered if I have made the wrong decision by coming here. Today is the day of the most talked about date between Zachary and Jane. Ella suggested that we should follow them and protect Zachary from Jane if needed. Protect? Why would Zachary need our protection? He could jolly well protect himself if anything happens.

Okay okay, Ella's 'protect' was referring to Jane making any attempts to kiss Zachary or whatsoever. You couldn't blame her afterall she has a huge crush on Zachary. Me? Yes, I still do. But I didn't want to be controlling who Zachary can hang out with when he's not even mine? He has his own freedom.

Whatever I was doing now contradicted my opinion on this situation. I only agreed to come here as he's having a date with Jane because of me.

"Hey. Sorry I'm late. How's the surveillance going so far?" Helen asked me, a little short of breath from rushing here.

"Nicole and Ella are hiding behind that pillar in front nearer to Zachary and Jane. While Jake and Dylan are hiding diagonally to our left." I informed Helen and she giggled at our outfits of the night.

We were all wearing a dark hoodie to cover our faces. We looked like homeless kids right now. I giggled along with Helen at the sight of us.

Zachary and Jane were in a diner for their dinner. Jane's wearing a tight short strapless dress which she wore it intentionally because she showed more cleavage than she should. I looked down at my body and sighed, Jane really has a great body.

I guess Zachary was having a good time judging from his couldn't-stop-smiling face. What happened next made my hand itch from the urge to slap the shit out of Jane. She stood up and bent forward to feed Zachary something. Zachary Davis don't you have hands to feed youself? Are you a baby?! The effect of doing so was letting Zachary have a nice unblocked view of Jane's you-know-what. Bitch. Seriously, must you do that?

I barely kept my temper in check when Ella nearly ran in to throw Jane out of the diner. Nicole got up instantly to grab Ella back to their position. The thing about my crush on Zachary was that no one could know and it sucks big time. I could not even show my jealousy or do anything that will reveal my secret. At the start of this operation it's clear that everyone was aware of Ella's crush on Zachary.

Oh sorry I sidetracked, that Zachary actually grinned happily at Jane after her you-know-what showcase. Great, now I feel like slapping two people.

Typical date night, after dinner Jane and Zachary went for a movie. What movie would they watch? No surprise, it just have to be a horror movie. Oh you guys should know my 'love' for horror movies right? This stalking operation was really getting from bad to worse.

We were all scattered around the movie theatre. I was partnered with Dylan as they said it will be better to grab a guy's hand when I was scared of any scenes. I would rather hold Zachary's hand, I feel like screaming those words aloud. Huh real funny as if I could.

Jane must be plotting this date if not she won't be volunteering to watch this kind of movie right?! If you guys were thinking if I did hold Dylan's hand as I'm afraid of any scenes. Rest assure I didn't, because Jane and Zachary provided the best distraction. We sat behind them so I could see whatever that sneaky Jane do.

Whenever there's a terrifying scene, Jane would cuddle super close to Zachary and hold onto his arm or bury her face on his chest. I gripped the armrest real hard and tried my best not to reveal any emotion on my face.

Out of a sudden I felt someone patted my hand. My tight grip on the armrest loosen instantly and I shot Dylan a stunned look. Dylan gave me a knowing smile and that's when I knew my secret is out.

"How did you know?" I whispered to Dylan.

"The way you look at them it's like you couldn't wait to shoot them. Don't worry, no one noticed that yet and your secret is safe with me." Dylan finished off with a playful wink.

At long last, the movie ended. I was the first one to scurry out of the movie theatre. Eventually, I did watch a little of the movie and it was so horrifying I wanted to scream out loud.

I must say, we're pretty good at this. They were completely unaware that we are following them. Right now, both of them are taking a stroll in the park. Helen and Nicole waited for us at the entrance. Jane wrapped her arm around Zachary's and that irked the hell out of me.

If Jane wanted to have more physical contact with Zachary, how will she do it? Take a guess. It's very predictable, Jane fake that she tripped over a stone. Zachary naturally would try to catch her before she fell down. Well I think you can picture that in your brain and know what happens next.

I guess Jane found the distance between them was not close enough. Therefore, Jane grabbed onto Zachary's arm faking another fall and draw Zachary closer to her. Jane took the initiative to try and kiss Zachary but Ella suddenly shouted, "Oh hi Zachary!"

I smirked at how angry Jane was with Ella, who ruined her kissing plan. Dylan called Nicole so that they can come and watch the good show.

"Ella. What are you doing here?" Jane asked, her tone leaking with venom.

"We're just passing by here after dinner." Ella explained innocently, with a thumb pointing to us. As if on cue, Nicole and Helen strolled to our place arm in arm. Zachary observed the situation with amusement. When our gaze locked, he smirked at me as usual.

Jane glared at all of us and huffed. "Well then, see you guys tomorrow in school."

"Wait, Zachary, do you mind sending some of us home? I'm the only one who drove here today. Helen was late so we have enough space but now we don't." Ella questioned before Zachary could be dragged away by Jane.

"What? If it's too squeezy, they can find their way back home!" Jane grumbled.

"Zach, you could drive Rachel back since she stay quite near Jane." Dylan suggested while giving me a push. I shot him a 'are you crazy' look, however, he ignored me.

"No! That bit- I mean Rachel can take a cab home or whatever I don't care!"

"Yeah, I-" I was going to agree with Jane for once in my life but..

"Okay, it's settled. Zachary will send Rachel and Jake home." Dylan announced and the rest nodded in agreement.

"Fine." Jane said glumly.

Fortunately, Jane was the first one to get off the car even though she protested that Zachary can send me and Jake home before her. Jake went to sit in the front after Jane alighted. Zachary kept on whistling while driving.

I wondered why Zachary was so happy when we just ruined his intimate moment with Jane. It's okay, that didn't really matter, as now I was exhausted.
