Zachary's POV

I have no idea what came over me just now. I actually told Rachel that she looked pretty tonight. She simply took my breath away with the outfit that she wore. Normally, she would wear a print tee and a jeans or shorts to school.

The outfit hugs her curves in all the right places. The skinny jeans also emphasises her long legs. She came to the party barefaced and with only some lip gloss. Well, I do like girls who does not put on make up and be natural.

Hey hey guys cool down, that does not imply anything. It is purely my opinion.

As I was walking to Sarah's front door I noticed that Rachel wasn't behind me. I found her standing where I have left her few moments ago with a baffled look on her face.

I grinned like an idiot at the sight and thought that she was cute with that blur face. She snapped out of her daze after I shouted if she is coming in. Damn, she looked even cuter being irritated.

"Guys like him are so unpredictable." Rachel muttered under her breath as she trod up the stairs.

"Sorry, did you say something?" I questioned her with a smirk.

Her eyebrows shot up in shock and she chuckled lightly in embarrassment. "No, I was just talking to myself."

I pressed the doorbell and we could hear someone yelling from inside the house, "Coming!"

The girl that opened the door look at us from left to right, right to left, trying to figure out who we are.

Rachel giggled at the girl looking at us for quite some time and still couldn't say anything.

"Sarah! I'm Rachel Williams! Am I that unrecognisable?" Rachel asked.

"Ah oh my goodness Rachel? Wow! You've become so beautiful! Of course I couldn't recognise you! Is this your friend you've brought along?" Sarah questioned while giving me a sideway glance.

"Actually, it was Ella who invited him along with Dylan and Jake."

"I see! Both of the boys are here and so are the girls! Oh no, sorry for letting you both stand outside for so long. Come on in." Sarah said sheepishly.

"Everyone! Rachel Williams is here! Do any of you guys recognise her??" Sarah announced our arrival to the group of people sitting in the living room.

"Rachel?" Majority of the girls ran over to Rachel and gave her a big hug. Instantly the whole room was filled with the girls' laughter.

I felt someone elbowing me at the sides. Before I could turn and see who is it, Dylan whispered to me.

"Did you have a nose bleed when you saw Rachel?"

"I bet your eyeballs nearly popped out." Jake said cheekily.

"Nope I didn't, come on I'm thirsty let's go get a drink." I changed the subject so that the boys would stop making fun of me.

"Of course you will, who wouldn't?"

Rachel's POV

I was feeling a little uneasy when we were walking into the living room as I did not know what to expect. After seeing all the familiar faces and the warm welcome the girls have given me, I was starting to like this party.

I laughed out loud and told the girls.

"Hey hahaha girls you can let me go now."

"Oh right, sorry we're just too excited to see you again after 6 freaking years!" Paige said with a big smile.

"Williams, what a surprise!" Kenneth came over to give me a hug.

"Yeah I know, how have you guys been?"

Everybody told me all at once about their life and it's hard to grasp what they were talking about. Although not everyone from our class is present. It was hard to gather everybody together after graduation.

When I was comfortable with the group of people, I would be able to open up myself more. It wss kind of ironic when I am an introvert, but I tend to be quite talkative at times like this.

We were all having a great time catching up that I nearly forgot about Helen.

Fortunately, Nicole had been accompanying Helen. I spotted them sitting near the kitchen and Nicole was trying to engage a bored Helen in a conversation.

I frowned a little at the sight, everyone whom are not from our elementary school was mixing well with all the other people.

"Hi, how do you find the party so far?" I asked the girls while approaching them.

"Hey, it's been great! Your classmates were all very friendly, especially Sarah." Nicole informed me.

"Of course, it's sooo fun I could barely contain my excitement." Helen mumbled in sarcasm.

Nicole couldn't help but sigh at Helen's attitude. "Helen come let's go and try to mix around." I pulled Helen along trying to cheer her up.

"NO! Stop being such a busybody!" Helen hissed and pushed me away forcefully.

"I er.. I just wanted to help y-"

"I don't need your pity or help!" Helen snapped.

"Helen, what is wrong?" I questioned.

"Nothing, you can't help me anyway!" With that Helen stormed out of the house.

My brows drew together and I bit my lower lip. Therefore, Nicole reassured me that letting Helen go like this was alright.

My bladder was getting heavy after drinking so many cups of fruit punch. I excused myself and went to search for the bathroom.

I finally located the bathroom and as I was about to go in, I heard someone shrieked.

"WHAT?!"

Out of curiosity, I walked towards the source of the sound.

"Ella quick! Tell us who do you like?!"

"Oh wait let me guess, is the guy called Zachary Davis?"

Zachary Davis? Ella has a crush on him?

Silence filled up the hallway and the room. The only sound I could hear is coming from the living room. "Yes. I like Zachary." Ella told the group.

"I knew it!"

"Does he know?" Ella replied with a sigh, "Nope. Girls, please don't let anyone know about this."

"Alright, don't worry, we won't say anything."

I heard footsteps shuffling in the room so I made a beeline for the bathroom and locked the door behind me. I sat down quietly while leaning against the door.

There are no words to describe how I am feeling right now. I have so many questions to myself. Why am I so bothered with the fact that Ella likes Zachary? What does that got to do with me?

The answer to all those endless questions finally dawned on me.

I, Rachel Williams, like Zachary Davis too.

This party is getting better and better wasn't it?
