Rachel's POV

* Ring, ring, ring *

"Argh, alarm clock why can't you ring 5 minutes later?" I groaned out as my alarm clock rang loudly. Oh great, this was my first day back to school. I rubbed my eyes and face to feel more awake. I really hate being the new kid in school, as I need to adapt to my new surroundings all over again, it ain't easy doing that you know.. My introvert personality definitely was not helping at all. However, I did not have a choice.

Recently, I just moved back to my hometown after my father completed his overseas attachment in London, England.

Moving back to New York was a double-edged sword. Here in New York, I still have my childhood friends, this might make my school life less awkward. On the other hand, I also made lots of close friends when I was in England. I missed them a lot and frankly, if I was given a choice, I would definitely choose to stay in England.

"Rachel, you better get your ass of the bed right now stop day dreaming about not going to school, because that ain't going to happen!" My mum, Rebecca, yelled from the kitchen downstairs.

"Alrighty mum, wouldn't dream of that." I yelled back. Crap, how come she always know what I am doing when I am not even in her sight.

After brushing my teeth and washed my face, I ran down the stairs, and quickly ate my breakfast.

"Honey, have fun in school, you don't have to worry too much, do you remember Ella Chance? I heard from her mum that she'll be in the same class as you." My mum said with a smile.

"Yeah, mum. I know what you are trying to say, I will try my best to speak out more in school." I reassured my mum.

Ella Chance has been close friends with me since kindergarten and before I left for England. Ella is a friendly and outgoing friend. While I have been a very shy and quiet kid. At the age of 16, I still could not overcome my shyness.

"Rachel, remember to hav-"

"Yes mum I know, have a great day bye!" I rushed out of the car before my mum could say another word.

"Phew, if I had stayed another second longer I would not be able to leave the car fast enough." I thought aloud while running into the school.

"Owww!" I rubbed her forehead as I ran into someone.

"Are you alright?" The guy that I smacked my forehead on his chest asked me.

As my eyes landed on the guy who I ran into, I was awestruck. He is so damn good-looking, he has hazel eyes, his dark brown hair was disheveled in a way that made him look kind of sexy.

I nearly forgot that he asked me a question earlier and quickly look away before he could notice that I was staring at him. Wow, this is awkward.

"Er.. Um.. Y-yeah, I'm fine." I stammered while answering him. I could literally feel my cheeks heating up when I am speaking to him. Oh my goodness why do I always have to embarrass myself in front of people.

"Well that's good." He smirked and walked away.

I watched his back as he turned around the corner and disappeared from my sight.

Hello! I hope you will find the first chapter okay hahaha. I am not sure if anyone would read, I haven't plan out the story yet, whatever I've written on this chapter is based on the inspiration I've gotten out of the blue. Therefore, the updates might be slow. Oh and I'm having my exams very soon and it will take quite long. Thanks for tolerating my mistakes! :)
