As Seraphina sat by herself at the coffee shop, drinking the dark liquid in her cup. Harry was hurrying to get ready. He realised maybe it's not so good, to stay up until three in the morning writing.
He quickly ran down the stairs, holding on to the leather journal. Gripping it, like it's what his life depends on. He hurries to the coffee shop and enters with the bell chime. His green eyes wide, hair messy. As he takes a quick glance around the room, he instantly noticed her.
It's hard not to notice her, the delicate features that are present. Her skin looks so soft, her hair held gorgeous waves that framed her heart shaped face. Her long eyelashes that framed her gorgeous eyes. Her small petite body, covered in layers of clothing to keep her from getting cold.
She is everything that every guy would picture. Perfect. But she's more than that to Harry. She's everything he needs. Everything he can't have- for now.
"Hey." He smiles as he sits across from her. She looks up from her book, the exact one she bought yesterday. Or the one Harry did.
"Oh, hi." She smiles back. She bends the corner of the new book and sets it next to her. Her sleeves were pulled over her delicate hands. Keeping them warm. But all Harry wanted was to hold them tight in his hands, keep them warm that way.
"Do you want some coffee?" Harry asks.
"Thank you, but I already have one." She giggles, holding her coffee cup up slightly.
"Oh," Harry flushes, "I need to get one, uh, myself."
Seraphina giggles as he stands up and walks up to the cash register. As Seraphina went back to reading her book, Harry quickly ordered. He got two small muffins. Blueberry. She loves them, well, if she still does.
"There," Harry sighs, "you're welcome."
Seraphina looked at the two muffins, a small smile forms on her pink lips. She reaches out and grabs one.
"I haven't had these for a long time." She smiles before biting in the soft food. Harry smiles as she closes her eyes in bliss. If she hasn't had one for a long time, then the last time she's eaten one was with Harry. When he made homemade treats with his sister, Gemma, on Christmas.
"This is delicious." Seraphina says through a mouth full of crumbs.
"Agreed." Harry smiles before sinking his teeth in his own muffin. As they made small talk, laughing once in a while when Harry talks with his mouth full and crumbles fall out. Harry enjoyed spending time with her, like the old times.
Seraphina wouldn't admit, but she enjoyed his company. She felt herself warming up to him. Telling him silly stories if her childhood, ones that Harry has heard hundreds of times. When they finished their coffees and muffins, they secretly wanted to stay.
They loved each other's company. Seraphina felt at home, like she's known him for years. Although she does, but doesn't remember. Harry told her stories of his childhood, when he dressed up in his mothers clothing. Or when he applied makeup on himself. He loved to Seraphinas' reactions, how she laughed.
That sweet and cute laugh of hers that he so enjoys. It brightens up his whole day, everyone's day. Time ticked, indicating that the day can't last forever. It saddens the couple who so enjoyed their time spent together.
"Well, it was nice getting to know you," Seraphina smiles, "I enjoyed it."
Harry felt the small speck of hope inside him grow two times bigger. He grins as they both stand up, walking outside.
"I had fun, too." Harry smiles. Seraphina took the time to admire him, his pink lips and his nose. His forest green eyes that dark eyelashes framed around them. His messy hair that he's tried to tame as they chatted.
"You know," she says, "I would like to hang out like this again."
Harry grinned once again, the small ball of hope grew once again.
"Me too." He smiles. "Maybe, Saturday?"
Saturday was just five days away, not too far or close.
"Sounds good." She smiles. She decided to do the unexpected, she wrapped her arms around Harry and gave him a small tight hug before letting go. She looked down, warmth rushed to her cheeks. Harry didn't even have time to hug her back, to feel her small petite body in his arms again.
"Hey, it's okay," he comforts her. "it just happens."
"Sorry." She says, embarrassed.
"Don't be." He replies.
"Well, I'll get going. It's getting dark." She says quietly, looking up towards the sky.
"Yeah, me too." Harry replies. As they say their goodbyes and go their separate ways, both couldn't help but keep smiling. As Seraphina lies in bed, her eyes slowly closing, her phone gets a notification. She squints while reading it.
It was a text from Harry, a good night text. She smiled and sent him a reply saying good night also. And that, ladies and gentlemen. Is a start if something new. A new beginning for the both of them, a new pair. New love. Another chance, for Harry.
