Bonus Chapter 1: The First Dream

(Sorry guys, I don't get romance but I'm invested in my own freaking story and am just trying to add words and not hate it I'm sorry that there isn't a lot of Laur/N content but I don't really know how to write them falling in love and it isn't taking up as much space as I thought it would I'm sorry. The actual ch14 isn't good yet and I am taking really hard courses right now and am stressed. I threw these words on paper as the actual ones for ch14 aren't good and I'm sorry. I hope this is enjoyable and somewhat explains the Aphmau dream thing with Aaron for those who don't understand it. This is the first encounter and I will write more I just need a bit of time. Enjoy! )

(This is still way shorter than I wanted it to be but I can't add anything right know its 11 and I get up at 6 and I need those hours.)

Following Aphmau

"I don't think I've ever been here before." I said to myself, looking around the space. A large, almost floating island. Sky in all directions. There was a large sacred oak-like tree on one end so I ran towards it. Maybe there would be answers?

"Something about this place seems so... familiar." I said again, and it was. I had no memories of this place but it felt as if I had been there a thousand times before...

"What are you doing here?" I heard a voice ask. I turned around and saw... I don't know his name. The man with the hood and cloth wrapped around his face. He stood and, presumably, stared at me, waiting for an answer.

"I don't know."

"You and your friends had all just left through the portal-"

"-And you were holding off Zane in Irene's dimension." I finished.

"... I'd consider the idea that this might be a dream, but I know you wouldn't be the one I dreamt of in my last moments." He said.

We stayed silent for a few more moments. How am I supposed to reply to that? I can't just ask who, can I?

"Who would it be, instead?" I blurted. He paused but didn't move. I wish I could better see the expression on his face.

"You don't need to know." He said. I stayed silent and looked at the ground. "Why aren't you wearing the same clothes?" He asked.

"Oh! It's a bit of a long story, but a friend of mine wanted to wash what I was in and so she gave me this to borrow." I answered and picked at one of the long pieces of fabric falling from the top piece over my midriff.

"It's not very functional."

"It was only supposed to be for the night."

"I thought they would be more worried about having you check in with everyone."

"Oh, I... I, uh, did that already. Fifteen years passed in our world. It's been a while since we've been back so some of us are moving around. Trying to find those who moved away and be productive." I answered.

"...And the guy who turned to side with Zane?"

"That... that took a few conversations to get through. He... he wa- is in love with me. Thought that Laurence had betrayed a promise between the two of them to wait on making a proper move on me until he was able to confess... it crushed him, Zane and his spy faked concern." I replied. "I'm honestly just happy that we were able to talk it out and everything is going as right as it can be."

"It's good to know I was right to stay behind." The man said as a distant bell began to toll. The world began flash white.

"What do you mean?"

"Maybe it was a dream."

"What-"

And then I woke up.
