It was weekend already and school will resume on Monday. I wasn't really happy when Mom told me I will be staying in kano but am kinda happy knowing I will be free from Dad's insults for a while because he wanted a male child and I came so I guess he didn't like me.

      Lydia and sarki had already left likewise Daniel and it has just been me and Aunty Aisha in the house except when she goes to work I stay home alone cause uncle obi never came back home since Mom left.

     I can't wait for school to resume here in kano and at the same time,I wonder how schooling in the north would look like but Lydia said it is not that bad depending on the school and I hope she is right.

     When I broke the news to Kelvin,suzan and Patricia,they were really sad especially Patricia,she cried sef.

     "Kainene", I heard someone call me dragging me out of my thoughts

"Yes am coming",I replied and went to open the door,just then uncle obi came into view.

  "Good evening sir" I greeted but I noticed he was staring at me like I just fell from the sky.
  He then began to move closer to me, I moved back but he kept moving closer.
  "Hey stand still", he shouted and I flinched.
    I couldn't process this new behavior of his, he is just so strange

   He continued staring at me as I breathed heavily just then he pushed me against the foot of the bed and my head hit the wood slightly but I didn't care because his behavior seems to amaze me.

I wanted to shout but it felt like something in my throat is preventing me from doing so.

     Was my voice gone
     No it can't be.

I kept contemplating in my head,I couldn't feel me legs as I just curled up like an abandoned chick looking confused as he continued to move closer.

    I shut my eyes praying someone would come to my aid just then, I heard someone.

I really felt sorry for kainene while writing this chapter. But this is just the beginning of struggles for this young lady🤧
