Chapter 6
"We know who you are, Elena Fernanco-Gomez."
This is not good.
No shit Sherlock.
I got up and walked to the door. "I'm done here." I said angrily. This was a stupid idea. I should have gone with my original plan and just walked away from Thomas at the station.
Nathan moved as if to stop me, but Thomas put a hand on his arm.
"We can help you." Thomas said, shooting an unreadable look at Nathan.
"Help me?" I spat angrily, almost laughing at the irony. "I don't need help. I'm doing perfectly fine on my own."
"Then why-" Nathan started, but he was cut off as the train lurched and we all stumbled. The compartment lights flickered, then went out. I was laying across something warm.
More like someone.
I felt my cheeks heat up and could practically feel Nathan's smirk in the darkness.
"Getting a little handsy aren't we?" He whispered in my ear, sending shivers down me spine.
Oh heck no, I ain't falling for this guy. Well, maybe I fell on him, but that's different. So I did the sensible thing. I put my mouth next to his ear(or hopefully where his ear was, it was really dark) and whispered: "In your dreams cabron." And kneed him in the stomach as hard as I could. He made an 'oof ' noise. I could tell he was glaring at me.
I smirked, standing up. That estùpido boy should have learned by now that I don't fall under the "easily seduced" group.
"What's going on Thomas?" James asked, sounding a little afraid. "Why did the train move like that?"
We were moving again at a steady pace. The only difference was, the lights remained off.
"I don't-"
Screams came from down the hall, and compartment doors slammed. Thomas went pale. He strode deftly to the compartment door, and looked outside.
When he brought his head back in, his face was set, empty of emotion. He looked like a soldier about to go into a battle he knew he would lose.
He turned to Nathan. "Take Elena and James and get out of here. I don't care how, but just make sure you get them off this train. Meet me at the place we agreed on."
Nathan looked like he wanted to protest. "I will be fine. I will buy you some time. Just make sure you kids get away from here safely. I will meet you at the rendezvous point, I promise." Thomas said sternly. This time he was not asking. The slamming doors and screams were getting closer. Nathan nodded solemnly. Almost as though he thought we would never see Thomas again.
Before I could register what was happening, or why Nathan had that resigned look on his face, Nathan pulled open the window, grabbed me by the waist, took ahold of James's arm, and did the craziest thing I have ever seen someone do.
He jumped out of a moving train. With me pressed against him.
Do you guys ship it?
Yes or No and why.
