^Thats Aaron's new cast.
Aurora
I drop the poster board and went sprinting in the other direction. My hair whipped in my face at how quick I turned. Aaron starts chasing after me and I circle around our cars a few times.
"Becca! Help me!" I yell nervously. I squeal in surprise when Aaron's hand brushes against the back of my uniform blazer.
He's fast as fuck.
"STOP, YOU SON OF A PICKLE!" I shout anxiously as he starts to get closer and closer.
I hear Aaron's hard footsteps behind me so I try with all my might to go faster. I hear Becca laughing loudly and James is clutching his stomach with squinted, teary eyes.
I look behind me for a quick second and sure enough, Aaron's curls are flying with the wind. I laugh loudly and stick my tongue out at him, to which he cracks a small smile.
I stop behind Seth's car and Aaron stops near the hood. I'm panting loudly and hold my hand to my chest, while Aaron is barely tired at all. He's staring at me with a challenging glint in his eyes.
Becca is perched against her car with Seth by her side, she has her phone out and she's recording while laughing with the other boys. "Cmon! Why'd you stop!?" James yells over Seth's laughter.
"Aurora's hair looks like a birds nest," Daniel whispers to Seth in silent laughter but I still heard it.
"Leave me alone," I grumble and show him my special finger. Daniel innocently holds up his hands in surrender and points to my hair. I shrug carelessly and turn to Aaron who's glancing between me and Daniel.
"I'm tired, give me two seconds." I breathe out between pants and put my hands on my knees.
"Nope." Aaron's smirks and comes after me again.
Startled, I yelp and start running towards the entrance doors. Everyone's in class so the hallways should be empty.
"Dammit, now I have to get up." I hear James faint grumble behind me and hops off his car hood as I sprint into the school and down the main lobby.
"Hey! Running to the school was not an option!" Aaron's shouts from the door and starts running after me.
"Whoops," I answer sarcastically and laugh loudly in the air. My body feels like it's on fire, I pass a janitor that gives me a confused glance as to why a sophisticated lady like myself, is running in heels.
I see the ladies room coming into view and I exhale in relief. Aaron surely won't come in here right?
Then again, I don't know Aaron that well.
I try my luck and hurry in. I lean against the sink, breathing heavily. I should really work out more. I quickly take out my phone and check the time, first periods almost over.
I've been skipping a lot of my classes and once my parents find out, it's over for me. They'll most likely take my phone away, or forbid me from seeing Becca. Then again, I hardly care.
I quickly tuck my phone away and slowly open the door, I haven't heard a single noise for the past few minutes. I peer through the little gap and once I figure the coast is clear, I open the door widely.
"Ha! He probably thought I was dumb enough to keep running around." I mumble to myself proudly and quietly shut the bathroom door close.
I let go of the handle and just as I'm about to turn around, I feel two large hands grab my waist from behind me. I shout in surprise with wide eyes.
Damn it.
"Gotcha," Aaron whispers huskily in my ear, making tingles appear. "Oh no, your not." I laugh nervously and trash around in his iron-like grip.
Aaron hoists me up and throws me over his shoulder. "Let me go, you bastard!" I shout and pound my fists on his back.
He doesn't say anything but shakes his head. He starts to walk away and I feel my embarrassment coming on. A few classroom doors are open and some students give me confused glances, some even disgust.
"Please, Aaron let me go. I won't ever park in your parking spot again. I promise." I beg pathetically, but I did not want to be seen on Aaron Knights shoulder.
"I'll put you down near your car." He answers me and gently pinches my feet, "Ouch!" I grit out angrily. We are almost near the entrance doors, thank god
"You decided to be childish and make us all miss the first period," he grumbles, completely ignoring my plea. Great, playful Aaron is gone. How did we even go from ignoring each other to playing tag around the school? I really don't know why I decided to piss him off by taking his park spot. I guess I was just angry at myself for wanting us to happen so badly.
"How did we even get here? You were just ignoring me yesterday." I whisper while picking at the skin near my thumb. "You were avoiding me too," He argues.
I gasp and slap his back. "I smiled at you! You just stared back! Also, your the one who stormed off!" And suddenly thoughts about Ray invade my mind. I loudly gasp and tuck my hair behind my ear, trying to look at Aaron.
"Oh my god, what happened to Ray?" I worriedly. He immediately stiffens, "I handled it, don't worry." He says robotically. I open my mouth to say something more but he cuts me off.
"Look," he starts and sighs, "after I put you down, things are going to go back to the way they were yesterday,"
He walks out the door and the rest of the group are nowhere to be seen. He stops near my car and carefully puts me down.
After my feet touch the ground, I immediately back away from him.
"Do you hate me that much?" I question but it comes out hurtful and my voice comes out much softer than I would have liked.
"Damn it Aurora, you know that's not the case," he exclaims and runs his hands down his face. His curls blowing with the wind. His green eyes stare at me intensely with a little annoyance.
"Well when you figure out what is, tell me. Cause I sure as hell don't know." I spit angrily and get in my car. I drive off and unshed tears prick my eyes. Truth is, I spend way too much of my time on Aaron. I have to stop, he doesn't think we can work so I can't force it. Like Becca said, if its meant to be then it'll be.
"Fickle stick Aaron, he's such a dilweed." I mumble to myself in anger.
Such a dilweed.
I get home around half an hour later of just driving around. I lock the car and walk to the gates. I ring myself in and try to think of an excuse as to was I came back nearly during the third period. I quickly pinch my nose and cheeks, deciding that I'll just say that my allergies acted up. I let myself in and my mother walks in from the kitchen.
"Aurora? Why are you early?" she questions. I avoid her eyes and quickly mumble painfully, "I was sneezing like a madman Mom." I make sure to sniffle a few times.
"Oh, well..," she responds nervously and glances towards my father's study room.
"Your father was to supposed to tell you something we talked about after you got home from school but since your early, I'll give you a heads up," she whispers.
Talk to me? About what?
I give her a weird look. "Wha-," I start but she interrupts me.
"Your father wants you to start training for the company."
The words die in my throat.
