Chapter 9 ~ A New Day, A New Look
Guys this is the way Abi looks like on her second day of school
The next morning, Abi woke up feeling refreshed and excited. She slipped into her brand-new blue uniform, admiring herself in the mirror.
"Wow, I look amazing!" Abi exclaimed, twirling to see the uniform from every angle.
Downstairs, her family awaited, beaming with pride.
"Stunning, Abi!" Rachel said, adjusting Abi's blouse.
Austin and Bryson chuckled. "Sis, you're rocking that uniform!" Austin teased.
John smiled, his eyes shining. "My baby's all grown up."
Abi blushed, grabbing her backpack. "Time to conquer Skyview Academy!"
As she headed outside, Rachel called out, "Remember, Abi, be kind and confident. You got this!"
Abi nodded, taking a deep breath. Today would be different. She was ready.
The limousine drove up to Skyview Academy's grand entrance. Abi stepped out, her blue uniform shining amidst the sea of students.
Cora's eyes narrowed from across the courtyard. "What's Abi thinking, wearing that uniform?"
One of Abi's classmates approached Abi, smiling. "Hey, girl! You look fabulous!."
Abi grinned. "Thanks, She replied"
Ready for a fresh start, she said to her self.
As they walked into school together, Abi felt a sense of belonging.
But little did she know, Cora's plans for revenge were unfolding.
Later in the day
Cora spoke up as the teacher stepped out. "Girls who wear pink are the prettiest. They're elegant, understated, and not desperate for attention."
Stelar raised an eyebrow. "What about girls who prefer other colors?"
Cora smirked. "They're trying too hard. Only pink is truly beautiful."
Abi countered confidently, "Beauty isn't about clothes; it's about natural face, abilities, and character. Inner beauty shines brighter."
Cora shot back, "Makeup and stylish clothes make girls attractive."
Abi replied calmly, "Natural beauty is effortless. Girls with genuine confidence and kindness are truly stunning."
The class murmured in agreement.
Sophie nodded. "Abi's right! Inner beauty matters."
Cora's eyes narrowed, her expression darkening.
Abi continued, "Beauty's not just physical; it's kindness, compassion, and genuineness. So we should try to develop our inner qualities."
Cora's icy gaze lingered.
Cora stood up, her voice dripping with indignation. "So, you're saying we're ugly?"
Abi's calm demeanor remained unwavering. "No, Cora, I'm not saying that. What I mean is that people who hide behind layers of makeup and speak poorly about others, lacking kindness and good character, are the ones who truly struggle with beauty."
The class fell silent, mesmerized by Abi's courage.
Cora's face reddened. "How dare you!"
Abi continued, her voice firm but gentle. "True beauty shines from within. It's about being genuine, compassionate, and confident."
The classroom erupted into murmurs of agreement.
Cora's eyes widened, her voice trembling. "I...I have no words for you."
Fuming, Cora stormed out of the classroom.
As the door slammed shut, the class exhaled collectively.
Charlotte approached Abi, gratitude etched on her face. "Thank God you stood up to Cora. She thinks her wealth and status make her above everyone."
Victoria nodded vigorously. "We're tired of her bullying. You're brave, Abi."
Gabriella smiled warmly. "We've got your back. Don't worry about Cora."
The bell rang, signaling lunchtime.
Abi joined her brother, Austin, in the cafeteria.
Austin chuckled. "Looks like you've gained more fans, sis."
Charlotte, Victoria, Gabriella, and others joined them, surrounding Abi with support.
"We want to sit with you today, Abi," Charlotte said. "You're an inspiration."
Austin grinned. "Welcome to the fan club!"
Abi's heart swelled with gratitude. "Thanks, guys. Means a lot."
As they shared laughter and stories, Cora watched from afar, her expression twisted in discontent.
The dynamics had shifted. Abi's courage had sparked a movement.
Bryson strolled up, flashing a charming smile. "Mind if I join?"
Abi nodded warmly.
Bryson sat beside Abi, his eyes sparkling. "Abi, I think blue is a lucky color for you."
Abi's curiosity piqued, she leaned in. "Why do you think I like blue?"
Charlotte spoke up, admiring Abi's uniform. "I wish I had one. Your uniform looks amazing!"
Abi smiled encouragingly. "Thanks, Charlotte."
Charlotte's voice dropped to a whisper. "My parents won't let me wear blue. They say it's a boy color."
Abi's expression turned determined. "If you want something, don't hide it. Tell them and see what happens."
Charlotte hesitated. "I know what they'll say – no."
Abi leaned in, conspiratorial. "It's good to be rebellious sometimes. If you want blue, tell them. Stand your ground."
Austin chimed in, grinning. "A pretty girl like you should get whatever she wants."
Bryson chuckled, nodding. "You're right, Austin. Abi's uniform suits her."
Austin teased, "You're too pretty not to get what you want, Charlotte."
Just then,
Bryson reminded Austin, "Dude, you have a girlfriend."
Austin's face turned sheepish.
Abi and Charlotte burst into laughter.
"Shut up, Bryson!" Austin joked.
The group erupted into laughter, their camaraderie warming the atmosphere.
Charlotte smiled, feeling inspired. "Thanks, guys. You're awesome."
Abi smiled warmly. "We're here for you."
As they continued chatting, Cora watched from afar, her expression darkening.
As the school day drew to a close, Abi and her brothers, Austin and Bryson, decided to cap off their afternoon with a sweet treat.
"Who's up for ice cream?" Austin asked, grinning.
Abi nodded enthusiastically. "I am!"
Bryson chuckled. "You two are always up for ice cream."
The trio piled out of the limousine, drawing curious glances from passersby.
Abi chuckled. "We're quite the entourage."
Inside the ice cream parlor, they indulged in colorful scoops and laughter-filled conversations.
Austin teased Abi about her sprinkles-covered cone. "You're going to turn into a rainbow!"
Abi playfully rolled her eyes. "Shut up, Austin!"
As they licked their cones outside, the limousine's presence drew a crowd.
People snapped photos and stared, mesmerized by the sleek vehicle and its occupants.
Abi smiled warmly at her brothers. "This is the life."
Bryson chuckled. "Get used to it. Phoenix Corporation's got a reputation."
Just then, Cora car pass by, she told the driver to slow down and piped , her eyes narrowing at Abi's carefree smile.
Cora muttered under her breath. "This isn't over."
Abi's instincts picked up on Cora's hostility, but she refused to let it dampen her mood.
"Hey, guys! Let's make a quick exit before we draw more attention," Bryson suggested.
The trio piled back into the limousine, waving at onlookers as they drove off.
As they settled in for the ride home, Abi grinned at her brothers.
"Best. Day. Ever."
Austin high-fived her. "Definitely one for the books."
Bryson chuckled. "Anytime, sis. We're just getting started."
The limousine disappeared into the evening traffic, leaving behind a trail of whispers and wonder.
