Chapter 5 ~ Shopping Spree
Abi woke up feeling excited. Today was shopping day!
She dressed in a flowy skirt and a trendy top, adding a hint of edge with her boots.
Downstairs, her brothers were already waiting, looking sharp in their new outfits.
Austin wore a sleek hoodie and jeans, while Bryson sported a stylish button-down shirt.
Rachel smiled, approving their looks. "You all look fantastic!"
John chuckled. "Time to upgrade your wardrobes."
They piled into the limousine, Abi squealing, "I've heard of this mall! I've always wanted to go!"
The ride was smooth, the cityscape unfolding outside.
As they arrived at the prestigious Golden Mall, Abi's eyes widened.
Inside, shoppers and staff greeted them warmly.
"Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. John! We've been expecting you."
Rachel smiled. "Thank you. We're excited to explore."
The family splurged on designer clothes, shoes, and accessories.
Abi tried on outfits, twirling in front of mirrors.
Austin joked, "You look like a superstar, Abi!"
Bryson chuckled. "More like a fashionista!"
Their parents laughed, enjoying the bonding experience.
As they shopped, Abi noticed the respectful treatment.
Sales associates catered to their every need, offering exclusive deals.
Abi whispered to Austin, "Why are they being so nice?"
Austin grinned. "We're basically royalty now."
"This has been the best day ever!" Abi exclaimed.
Rachel smiled mischievously. "This is just the beginning of our shopping spree!"
Abi's eyes sparkled. "Yes! Let's get started!"
The personal shopping assistant, Ms. Jessy, nodded. "Right this way, please."
In the VIP section, racks of designer clothes and shelves of luxury shoes awaited.
Ms. Jenkins presented Abi with heels, but she opted for sleek boot heels instead.
Abi then joined her brothers, eyeing their sneaker selection.
Austin held up sleek Nikes. "These are fire!"
Bryson grinned, wearing trendy Adidas.
Abi jumped in, "I need those black and blue Jordans! And those white Vans!"
Ms. Jenkins chuckled. "You're a lady with a flair for streetwear, I see."
Abi shrugged. "I like what I like."
The staff brought out more options, and the siblings
Abi's eyes scanned the shelves, homing in on the perfect sneakers. "Ooh, those black and blue Jordans!" She grabbed them, trying them on. "Perfect fit!"
Ms. Jenkins smiled. "You have a great eye for style, Abi."
Next, Abi selected three pairs of distressed denim jeans, each with unique rips and frays. "I love these! They're so me."
Austin chuckled, "You're going to wear those out in a week."
Abi playfully rolled her eyes. "Mind your own wardrobe, bro."
She picked five graphic t-shirts, each with bold logos or quirky designs. "These are awesome!"
Then, Abi spotted a stunning leather jacket. "Wow, this is gorgeous!" She tried it on, striking a pose. "What do you think?"
Rachel nodded, "You look stunning, sweetie."
Abi's final choices included two pairs of sleek boot heels, perfect for dressing up or down.
Meanwhile, Austin picked out four slim-fit shirts, showcasing his love for bold colors and patterns. He paired them with two pairs of dark wash jeans, fitting perfectly into his emerging style.
Bryson opted for three preppy button-downs, complementing his khaki pants and Adidas Superstars. His grey hoodie added a relaxed touch to his outfit.
As they finished shopping, Ms. Jenkins tallied their purchases. "You three have an impressive sense of style. Enjoy your new wardrobe!"
The siblings beamed, eager to show off their fresh looks.
As they finished shopping, Ms. Jenkins smiled. "Shall I tally up your purchases?"
Rachel nodded. "Yes, please."
Ms. Jenkins efficiently calculated the total, her eyes widening slightly.
"Your total comes out to... $5o,000."
Abi, Austin, and Bryson gasped in unison.
" Fifty thousand dollars?" Abi repeated.
Austin exclaimed, "How did we spend that much?"
Rachel chuckled. "Don't worry, kids. It's just a small splurge."
John added, "Phoenix Corporation's got this covered. No need to worry." There paid us well
The staff efficiently loaded their numerous shopping bags into the limousine.
As they settled in for the ride home, Abi gazed at the stacks of bags.
"Wow, we really did go all out."
Austin grinned. "Told you, sis, we're living large now!"
Bryson laughed. "And we're not even sorry."
Rachel smiled, pleased with their happiness. "You deserve it, kids."
John nodded. "This is just the beginning. Get used to the luxury."
The limousine glided through the city, carrying the thrilled Thompson family home.
Their excitement filled the air, anticipation building for their new life.
As they arrived home, staff members swiftly unloaded the shopping bags.
"Welcome back, Madam," their housekeeper, Mrs. Smith, greeted Rachel.
Rachel smiled. "Thank you, Mrs. Smith. We had a wonderful shopping spree."
Mrs. Smith nodded. "I'll ensure everything is put away in your rooms."
Abi, Austin, and Bryson followed Mrs. Smith into the house.
Their butler, Mr. J, appeared. "Madam, the school delivered the necessary materials for the children's enrollment."
Rachel nodded. "Excellent. Thank you, Mr. J."
Austin rushed to collect his school package, tearing open the box.
"Whoa! Our school uniform is blue!" He held up the jacket, admiring himself.
Abi squealed, racing upstairs to find her own uniform.
But when she returned, her face fell. "Why is mine pink?"
Rachel chuckled. "The school's tradition, sweetie. Girls wear pink, boys wear blue."
Abi pouted. "But I want blue! Pink is so...girly!"
Austin teased, "You look cute in pink, Abi!"
Abi playfully rolled her eyes. "Shut up, Austin!"
Bryson grinned. "Actually, Abi, pink suits you."
Abi mock-glared. "You're not helping, Bryson!"
Rachel intervened. "Abi, trust me, you'll love the uniform. It's comfortable
Abi crossed her arms, pouting. "I won't wear pink. It's the color I hate the most."
Abi glared. "No, it doesn't. My favorite color is blue. Why should I wear pink while there get to wear blue?"
Rachel intervened, "Abi, sweetie, just wear the uniform. It's not a big deal."
Abi insisted, "But why can't I wear blue like Austin?"
John chuckled. "Abi, wear the pink uniform on Monday, and I'll talk to the school about changing it to blue for you."
Abi hesitated, then nodded. "Fine, I'll wear it on Monday, but only Monday."
Austin smirked. "Stubborn brat."
Bryson snickered. "Sporty rich kid now."
Abi playfully rolled her eyes. "Shut up, guys."
Rachel smiled. "Let's enjoy the rest of the weekend. We'll worry about the uniform on Monday."
As they relaxed, Abi muttered under her breath, "I still hate pink..."
Just then Mrs. Smith entered with refreshments.
The Thompson family gathered around munching on treats
Abi's frown softened , maybe I overreacted. She said in her mind
