I stand waiting nervously at the entrance of school, five minutes before the bell. I am waiting for Sam. After my chat with Mini I had made up my mind.

Suddenly I see Sam. She's striding up the school drive with her head held high. Her cold eyes are adverted from mine, and I get a sudden chill down my spine telling me that I'm being stupid.

But before I can chicken out, I run up to her and envelop her in a huge bear hug. She stiffens, then after a moment relaxes into to it and puts her head on my shoulder. Sam may put up a front, but I knew she was all fudge inside.

"Sam, I hope it's not too late to say sorry."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, you know, we've been friends so long and best friends should never argue like that."

"Never say never."

"Sam, what the hell are you talking about?" I answer, confused

Giggling she replies "Baby, I'll show you, mark my words. As long as you love me, life is worth living."

"Oh right I get it," rolling my eyes "Sam the eternal Justin Bieber fan." Then adding smugly "You know if you ever actually listened to Twenty One Pilots or Fall Out Boy you would literally want to shoot yourself in the head for being so dumb until now."

"Uh! JB is total goals!" She scoffed, clutching a hand to her heart

"Ssh now my sweet, sweet, stupid girl and give me another hug"

We hug again. Muffled into my shoulder she says

"You do know you're completely insane Kat."

I smile "Hey don't kid yourself, you're just a bad as me: we're two halves of the same crazy."

 She chuckled and I knew we were okay again. No one could resist a Kat hug.

"Oh and we have a lot to catch up on. I have a very important question to ask you about a secret organisation and a guy named Fawkes who's even madder than me."

Our arms and we start walking into school.

Her eyes glint mischievously

"Go on..."
