voices.
He had fucked up.
He watched her laughing with another man which was not him. The way her rosy lips curved into that smile that he loved so much about her. The way her hair shined along with sun. She had made the world brighter for him.
But his sunshine.
It was gone.
It was gone for good and it was not coming back.
Does she miss me? He wondered.
But who would after the bullshit I pulled? He thought to himself.
He watched her as her pale hands intertwined with his.
He scoffed as he left the scene. Turning back to head into the school with his hands in his pocket.
Noticing so, he saw someone else on the roof along side him but very far.
Her cheeks stuffed with rice as she watched out into the city.
She must've not heard the bell. He thought to himself.
Not my problem. He closed the door behind as he walked down.
He walked towards his classroom and to his desk as he watched her from her desk from afar.
I hope this isn't stalker-like. He thought.
He ran his fingers through his black-raven hair as he looked out the window and then up to the rooftop where he once was.
She's still there. He snickered.
"What's so funny, Mr. Uchiha?" The teacher crossed his arms in front of him demanding an answer.
He pointed up towards the rooftop as the class followed with their eyes and then filled with laughter.
"Is she still eating her lunch?" A student said.
"Don't you think she's skipping?" Another said.
"What a great first impression." The teacher sighed.
"Hinata-chan?" A small voice was heard in the classroom.
The pinkette immediately arose from her chair and out the door.
Once she reached the rooftop she opened the door slowly and sighed. Trembling with excitement hoping the person in front of her was actually real.
She tapped the girl's shoulder as her emerald green eyes met her lavender pale ones.
"It really is you!" Sakura hugged her out of joy.
She then broke the hug as she smiled at her.
Where have you been? Haven't seen you since.. well you know. Sakura who had now fully learned sign language signed to her.
I've been good, I'm really glad to see you. Hinata signed back as she offered her an octopus shaped wiener.
Lunch time is over, Hinata-chan. Sakura showed her the time on her phone as Hinata quickly packed up her things and ran with Sakura towards the doors.
Running together hand in hand like they use to when they were kids.
When nothing would stop them.
They ran together into class as the students looked up.
"Ms. Hyuga, are you going to explain why you're late to class on your first day of school?" The teacher said hastily.
Hyuga? Where have I heard that name before. He found himself thinking.
"Sensei, please don't be mad at Hinata-chan." A girl from the back arose as Sakura smiled knowing her best friends would have her back.
"I agree with Ino. It's not her fault." TenTen arose from her seat also.
"And why shouldn't I be?" The teacher looked angry.
"Because she's deaf." The class turned around to who was talking.
"Naruto." Sakura smiled.
Ah, there he was. His competition. The guy who won Sakura's heart after his mistake. The guy who he would kill to be in his place right now.
But there was no way he was sticking up for a mute.
"Ah I see. I'm very sorry, Ms.Hyuga. Please take a seat next to Mr.Uchiha." The teacher apologized.
And here it was.
History repeating itself.
He groaned as Hinata took the seat next to him. She has changed, he will admit.
For instance, her hair was longer and she developed certain body parts really nicely.
As the teacher began the lesson, Hinata quickly squinted her eyes at the board, why'd she have to sit in the back? Quickly she noticed the boy next to her would be taking the same notes.
Hoping he wouldn't notice, she began copying the same notes he was writing. It wasn't long until he caught up to her actions and covered his notes with his arm.
She sighed as she tried looking at the board again but then was thrown a piece of paper.
Looking around she saw him smiling at her.
There he was, his blue ocean eyes staring back at her.
He motioned her to come over as she quietly thanked him.
We're glad you're back. It had been a while since well..you know. Naruto wrote on small sheet of paper.
It's good to be back, thank you. She replied.
So? Find anyone yet? He teased her.
What do you mean? She questioned.
Someone you like, silly. He replied.
But the only person I've ever liked is you, wait would it be good to confess right now? No. I would only make it awkward. She thought to herself.
No, how about you? She was eager for a response.
Yes, I love her actually. He wrote down.
May I ask who it is? Her face was heating up.
Sakura. We're even going out!
And those were the words that broke her heart but she definitely would not show it. Of course she would not show it. This was her best friend. As a best friend, she should only support her and cheer her on. So that's exactly what she's going to do.
That's amazing! You guys would have always made a good couple! Hinata smiled as she wrote it down.
I know right? Naruto wrote down.
"Mr.Uzumaki, Ms. Hyuga. I hope you guys are paying attention and not fooling around writing little notes." The teacher scolded them as the classed teased them on how a good cute couple they would make.
No! No! Don't get the wrong idea, idiots! She waved her hands frantically as she wished she could've been able to speak.
"Hinata is just a good friend of mine. Nothing more. My heart and eyes will be and have always been for Sakura. And only Sakura!" Naruto stood up as he smiled at his pinkette as she blushed pink as her hair.
"N-Naruto." She smiled.
"Enough! Sit down."
He sighed knowing it was officially over.
She's in love with him. The way her eyes lit up when she said his name, it never happened when they we're together.
2:00pm
Class had ended as everyone arose from their chairs. Hinata had fallen asleep from the lesson that no one bothered to wake her up.
He sighed as he watch them hold hands together and walk out. He looked over to the sleeping girl.
"Hold on, Naruto. I'll wake up Hinata." Sakura let go of his hand as she walked over to her desk but was stopped by Sasuke.
"Don't worry, I'll wake her up." He said to her speaking for the first time since their incident.
"Sasuke." She said lowly.
"In exchange, can I talk to you?" He said desperately.
"I'm sorry, Sasuke. We have nothing to talk about. I'll just wake up Hinata myself." She said but before her hand reached Hinata's shoulder, he gripped on it tightly.
"Please." He pleaded.
"Prove to me you have changed." She said.
"How?"
"Be kind to her & be her friend."
"If that's what it will take." He stoke out his hand to confirm the deal.
She shook her hand out as she went back to Naruto.
And here he was.
Should I wake her up? Then again it's not my fault she fell asleep. He thought to himself.
He looked out the window and saw them laughing together again, taking his guitar out slowly and began playing the strings.
He then turned to look at the girl realizing she might wake up.
She's deaf, I don't think she'll care. He started playing again while sitting on the desk.
"Tell me that you need me now."
"Cause in my dreams you're still around."
"You've been gone for quite some time."
"It finally feels like you're not mine."
"Will you remember me? Cause I'll remember you."
"Yeah, you."
She rubbed her eyes gently as she looked around and saw the classroom empty. Her vision cleared as she saw him signing while looking out the window.
She saw him. His blue eyes looking into her emerald ones.
They must've gotten closer since I was gone. She thought as she remembered the black-haired raven boy in front of her.
They look at each other for a brief second before facing away.
Be nice to her. He remembered her words.
She grabbed her bag as she placed it on over shoulder. Gathering her jacket in her arms as she walked out of the classroom.
Only to be stopped by her wrist.
Turning around their eyes met for the first time.
"I'll take you home." He said.
It's okay. I can walk home by myself. She signed.
"I'm going to take you home and that's final. No more talking." He said as he walked out of the classroom.
I can't even..She rolled her eyes as she left.
They walked side by side until her vision started getting blurry.
I forgot to take..She fainted onto the ground as he continued walking until he noticed the sound of silence.
"Seriously." He turned around to see her laying on the floor.
Picking her up as she now laid on his back.
Back to my place it is.
