closer.

"Who is she?"

"Let me explain."

"You're sitting here naked with some woman and you want to explain?"

"Sakura, please."

He walked closer as she smelled the liquor escaping his lips.

"You drank?" She slapped him.

"No, listen." He held his head as a massive hangover came over him.

She looked at the girl that was still lying in bed.

Her red hair peeked out from under the covers.

"Never talk to me again."

She walked out of the room.

"Sakura!"

"Mr.Uchiha."  The teacher smacked a ruler on his desk as the kids laughed around him.

The bell rang and teacher shaked his head in disappointment.

"Class Dismissed, see you tomorrow." He said.

As Sasuke packed his things, he noticed Hinata writing to Sakura before waving goodbye to her.

Looking back, she saw Sasuke staring at her and looked away. She walked up to the teacher and handed him a piece of paper.

"I see, so you'll be needing the assignments for the next few days?" The teacher smiled at her as she nodded.

"Let me print them out for you." The teacher headed to his desk and logged onto his computer.

"Mr.Uchiha, do you also need something?" He noticed on how focused Sasuke was on the two of them.

"Just waiting for her." He had his cheek on his palm.

"I see." The teacher grabbed the papers from the printer and handed it to her.

She bowed as a thank you and he smiled.

"Alright, let's go." Sasuke hovered his bag over his shoulder as Hinata rolled her eyes and followed him out.

They had made it to the front of the entrance until Sasuke stopped her.

"Why do you need the assignments for the following days?" He said so she could understand.

She dug in her book bag for her tablet and wrote: I'm visiting my mother for a couple days.

"Oh." He said a bit relieved.

Why does that relieve me? I shouldn't give two shits about this girl.

"I'm coming with you." He said which caused her to laugh.

No you're not. She wrote out.

"And why not?"

What is wrong with you?

"What do you mean?"

Why are you being so nice to me all of sudden?

"It's a secret." He looked away.

They continued walking until he realized her walking away from him.

"Where are you going?" He ran after her.

She slowly began running towards the highway.

"What the hell is wrong with you? Get back here!" He yelled and ran faster.

Then he saw it.

Right before his eyes, he saw it.

The sound of the truck, the yelling, the people running towards her. He ran quicker before realizing it was too late.

"My son!" A woman held her 3 year old who began crying in his mother's arms.

"Someone call 119, please!" She begged as one person tried to check her for a pulse.

"She's still breathing!" He yelled.

It was all too much.

His feet couldn't move.

His voice was gone.

"The ambulance is on their way!"

"I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." The driver cried on the floor.

"It's okay." Was all she managed to say.

His feet moved for him as he ran towards her body and picked her up.

"Be careful, the ambulance is on their way." The man who was checking her pulse said.

"They won't make it on time." He said angrily.

"What are you talking about?" He said as the people around him began to beg him to release her before she got any more injured.

"They never do." He began to run as he already knew where the hospital was due to his past visits.

Her blood drained from his fingers and on to the floor.

If she keeps losing blood at this rate, she'll..

He made it to the doors as nurses immediately began to put her on a carrier and hooked her to an oxygen tank.

Since he couldn't accompany her into the surgery room, he sat in the waiting room. Impatiently tapping his foot.

Realizing he still had blood on his hands, he walked into the bathroom.

He was his face with cold water as he looked at himself if the mirror.

What am I doing? He thought to himself.

I'm only using this girl but yet...

Why do I feel an urge to protect her?

He rinsed his hands off and walked outside into the waiting room again as he saw a nurse looking for him.

"Ah, Mr. Uchiha! I thought you had left!" She smiled at him.

"How is she?" He asked.

"She's fine but will need 4 full weeks to recover." The nurse informed him.

"That girl is a real hero. She saved a child's life." The nurse smiled as she walked with Sasuke to her room where they saw her with a cast on her arm as it was being signed by the small boy she saved.

The mother hugged her and by the looks of it, couldn't thank her enough.

"Will she be able to travel?" He said.

"If someone's with her, yes. But we don't really suggest it. She needs to take all the rest she can get." The doctor said behind them.

"I have it, you'll keep an eye out for her?" The doctor smiled.

"Never let her out of my sight again."
