Those gray eyes haunted me for the rest of the day. I had wrapped my neck with a scarf,(the cold being my excuse) so that the handprint was obscure. I couldn't tell anyone without them thinking I was batshit crazy. They would probably think I did it myself. I had usually scraped myself in the past when I had nightmares, so Lani and Cade would undoubtedly link it to that.

I couldn't tell Aiden either. What would I have said?

'I thought I was having an erotic dream about you when it was infact a creepy guy who threatened me and left this handprint on my neck?'

Huh. Didn't think so.

After awhile,even I started to believe that I was the one who had hurt myself. Let's face it, this wasn't Nightmare on Elm Street and whatever had happened in that dream was some Freddy Kreuger shit.

Plus it couldn't actually have been real. No one could visit someone's dream right? I doubted it highly.

As much as I tried to convince myself,hints of quandary and doubt were knawing at the back of my head. I just couldn't erase the face from my mind.

I remembered him distinctly;especially those eyes.

A stormy,dangerous gray.

Cold with a twinkle of amusement.

'...and I'm coming to get you."

I shuddered.

Mr.Grey eyes didn't have any markings. But then again,the Dark Clan had found a way to hide their markings.

What if...

Nah,I reassured myself. It was just a stupid dream and that's that.

As the day progressed, I had something solid-ish to blame the dream on.

And no,it wasn't Aiden.

"You got it?" I asked as Lani entered the house with Aiden strolling behind like a body guard.

He held his head straight ahead as though he didn't see me.

I did the same.

"Yeah I have them..." Lani answered and leaned her snow boots against the wall.

"Thanks Aiden!" She chirped as we made a beeline for the bathroom.

"I didn't know what brand you wanted," she handed me the small paperbag.

I sifted through the contents.

"It doesn't matter. Thanks,you're a life saver..."

She nodded. "I'm cooking so when you're through,come help."

"Unless you want to die young," I laughed and cringed at the nipping in my tummy.

"Whatever,"she rolled her eyes,"Later."

I opened the bag and took out the container marked Tampons and the pill-pack marked Menstrual Tablets.

So there. I attributed my dream to the 'perks' of being a female.

Plus it made perfect sense.

When he said,'...and I'm coming to get you,' it could have just been symbolic of my monthly flowings!

Oh so your period gripped you by the neck and left a handprint? My subconscious piped in sarcastically.

No matter how stupid it sounded, it was the best explanation I could come up with that would help me to stay sane.

I took a shower,inserted what needed to be inserted and went into the kitchen for a glass of water.

"What's for breakfast?" I asked Lani as I grabbed a bottle of water.

"Omelettes.... Toasted bread with jam and my favourite Apple juice."

"Mmm." I mumbled and gulped down the pill with the water.

"Feeling better?" Lani asked and stood over the toaster.

"A little I guess..."

"Morning," Cade appeared in the kitchen with only his pj bottom on.

When did Cade's chest become so toned and well-defined? I gulped and drank some more water.

My period was definitely making me hormonal.

"Good morning," I accepted my daily kiss on the forehead.

"Morning loser," Lani smirked and piled bread slices onto a platter.

"You only beat me at one game!" Cade grinned and leaned against the kitchen island.

"Lani beat you at chess?" I asked incredulously.

"By cheating," Cade shrugged playfully then frowned,"The same chess game that you promised to come to... Where were you?"

"...I was tired," I answered deadpan and glanced away.

His eyebrows knitted in disbelief but he didn't say anything.

If he only knew why I hadn't wanted to be in anyone's presence the night before.

I groaned when the embarrassing thoughts that I had been trying to forget bubbled inside my head.

Why did I even embarrass myself like that? It was clear that I was forcing myself onto him; which was something I never needed to do in the past. Guys digged me. I was fun to hang out with plus hot headed.

Kisses or light touches(occasionally intense ones depending on how hot the guy was) weren't hard to get when I was at the Academy.

It was a wonder how I had only managed to have sex once.

So you can imagine how new rejection was to me,and I didn't like it very much.

Plus who the hell did Aiden think he was? He had been giving off mixed signals for as long as I could remember. One minute I was amazing then the next I became a leper.

I was done with his crap. Hopefully I would meet a smoking-hot dude on our little adventure and receive some sexual activity.

Crap my period had seriously riled up my hormones.

"S'with the scarf?" Cade arched an eyebrow.

I looked down at the blue scarf wrapped around my neck.

"I'm trying out a new look...Plus it's cold..." I hugged myself as a bonus.

"Uh huh,sure." he smirked and ran his fingers through his dark hair.

"Hey..." Cassia entered the kitchen. She looked much better.

We greeted her and she sat beside me.

"You ok?" I asked.

"Yes I'm fine... Just hungry," she grinned.

"Waitress!" Cade beckoned to Lani who in turn shot him a glare and threw a wooden spatula at him. Due to her lack of aim though,the spatula hit me instead.

"You're gonna pay for that!" I laughed and levitated the bowl of whipped eggs.

"You wouldn't!" She cried and stepped back.

"Watch me..."

The bowl tilted and the contents poured ontop of her head.

"Eew!" she shrieked and glared at me.

Cassia,Cade and I burst into fits of laughter.

"Are you all finished making asses of yourselves?" A deep voice bellowed through the kitchen.

We all fell silent and turned to the door-frame where a not-so-pleased Aiden stood.

What's up with him?

I rolled my eyes and glanced at Cade who shrugged in response.

"We were just fooling around," I muttered.

"And I am sure that you are an expert in that area Miss Cyzek..."

"Hey don't talk to her like that," Cade stood behind me protectively,his voice rougher than usual.

I glared at him,signaling that I could stand up for myself but he didn't even notice.

The two guys stood staring heatedly at each other; with clenched knuckles and all. The tension was so thick that I could've sliced it with a knife.

"After breakfast we have training in the woods," Aiden broke the silence.

"Yeah whatever," I dismissed loudly and turned my back to him.

He left the kitchen.

We all stood in the middle of the woods facing Aiden. He stood with his hands folded behind him and was dressed in his custom suit and tie.

An emotionless expression was painted across his face as he stared at us individually.

The stinging austerity of the cold had lessened so I was dressed casually in a jeans,a pair of combats and a v-neck black blouse(with my blue scarf present ofcourse).

Aiden removed his hands from behind him and presented us with four blindfolds.

Each of us took one.

"I am sure you all know what this exercise will be like," he began.

We all nodded slowly.

"Please put the blindfolds over your eyes. After you have done so,I will check to see if they have been tied properly."

I did as I was told and tied the black cloth over my eyes.

My world became pitch black. I couldn't see a thing.

A hand touched the back of my neck and I jumped slightly in surprise. The hand tightened the blindfold and disappeared.

"Alright," I heard Aiden say,"Even though you are all incapable of seeing, I am sure that you know how to use your other senses. Relax and listen to the world around you... Smell if necessary... Taste if necessary. I will be attacking you all one by one. Hide as best as you can. Do not remove the blindfolds. On the count of three,I want you all to scatter. One..."

I tensed and crouched,listening keenly to my surroundings.

"Two."

I decided to run to the right when the time came. I remembered that there was an open area that way. But was that wise? He could easily find me in an open area.

I will turn around and run to the direction of the house,then make a right turn.

No I'm gonna-

"Three!"

I took off impetuously. I ran(well more like stumbled) to the left. Tree branches slapped across my face and I was forced to slow down. I smacked my head hard into a tall tree.

"Motherfuc-"

I gritted my teeth,shut up and leaned against the tree.

Listen,I reminded myself. I could hear a slight rustling in the wind but I couldn't hear any footsteps. I was safe for now.

"Shit," a male voice cursed.

I cringed and prepared to fight.

"Crap," The voice said again. It was really close to me.

"Cade?" I whispered.

After a beat the voice answered.

"Kitten? Where are you?"

"I am leaning against a tree..."

"Vague," he chuckled.

After a few seconds of Cade clumsily searching for me,his hand landed on one of my breasts. I flushed.

"Shit sorry," his voice was laced with embarrassment,"You ahite?"

"Are you?" I asked. I could tell he was directly in front of me.

His hot breath sent delicious chills down my body.

"Yeah I'm...-"

I clamped my hand over what I made out as his mouth in an attempt to shut him up.

Someone or something was approaching. The steps were barely audible but my auditory senses were tuned in.

The only sounds present were the wind,Cade's shallow intakes of breaths and the approaching footsteps.

Suddenly Cade's body was ripped away from mine.

"Run!" I heard him cry.

I raced to the right as swiftly as I could. I fell once but quickly got back up. My arms were extended infront of me so I wouldn't crash into any more trees.

"Damn," I bit my lips as I fell to the ground again.

Something was coming.

Whoosh! A hot mass hurled past me as I stood up.

I could hear the crackling of a tree on fire.

Open your senses.

I calmed my nerves as much as I could and listened.

Cinnamon,I smelled cinnamon.

I've got you Aiden.

I spun around quickly and kicked.

The impact seemed to have landed in his side.

He grabbed my feet and flipped me onto the ground.

I rolled over quickly to avoid an oncoming fist.

Listen! I reminded myself.

You know what the bad thing about this was? I couldn't use telekenesis because I couldn't see what was around me and I didn't know how to move humans as yet.

A palm knocked me hard in the chest and I flew back,crashing hard into a tree. I panicked and felt for something---anything,to use and defend myself.

I felt a stick and held it up just in time as Aiden's hand broke it in two.

I blindly focused on the pieces of stick in my hand. They shot forward in the direction of Aiden,I think.

Then I ran.

I stumbled through the trees and clung onto one. My chest was aching as I tried to go back to breathing aerobically.

Leaning against the tree, I listened again.

He was definitely approaching. I took off again,breathy and aching.

"Ah crap!" I cried as I collided into Aiden's solid chest. It somehow didn't feel like Aiden's though. A chill ran down my spine.

"Aiden?" I croked fearfully.

"No not Aiden," an all too familiar voice replied. I could hear the humor in his voice."Alec..."

I yanked the blindfold from my face and gasped.

"You!" I cried and stepped back. It was definitely him. His dark brown hair was whipping across his face and made him look more superior and evil than he already was; as did his dark duster which rode on the wind dramatically behind him.

Lastly,those gray eyes. Those fricking gray eyes.

He smirked and took a step towards me.

"Dont," I growled. He gave me a lopsided grin. In other circumstances I would've deemed him as the hottest guy I have ever seen. Unfortunately, he just had to be a bad guy. Hot or not though,his pretty little face was going to get bashed in by my fist.

"Don't look so afraid sweetheart," he gave me a sickening smile as two more figures appeared behind him,including the Nadiesha chick.

"I told you I was coming to get you."
