The playground
When Tina and her mother arrived at the park Tina ran straight to the swing set. She buckled herself in an cried apprehensively " Mummy, push me, push me!"
"Ok dear, I"m coming" she said as she scuttled across snowy ground. As she pushed her daughter on the swing she noticed that they were the only people there, that's strange, this park is normally very crowded, it's probably because of the snow. She thought. Tina giggled,
"Higher Mummy! Higher!" She cried laughing even louder.
"Hmm, if I push you any higher you might fly up into the sky and never come back." Her mother joked.
"No that won't happen because I have the chain on." Tina retorted sassily, silliness and attitude in her voice.
"Oooooo k" Her mother sang pushing her as high as she could, the little girl squealed as she went higher in the swing, "no! Mummy that's too high!" Tina cried, grabbing the chains to prevent falling.
"Like this?" Her mother answered pushing her low.
"NOO! Mummy! Higher!" Her mother giggled before pushing her normally. The two just laughed for a while, sharing a moment. After swinging for a while Tina squealed saying, "mummy it's a bee!" She screamed, undoing the buckle and hiding behind her mum.
"Oh it won't hurt you honey, look how small it is." Her mother said reassuringly. "I think that it wants a go on the swing, c'mon, let's go build a snowman."
"Ok!" Tina chirruped, grabbing her mums hand as she led her to the snow covered plain.
Tina made a small ball out of snow and rolled it along the ground making it bigger, soon it was too big for the small girl so her mother picked her up, lifting her high enough to enable her to push the snow ball along the ground. When it was big enough they sat down and made the head together, before carefully lifting it up and putting it on the larger one.
"Ohh, it's so heavy!" Tina's mum pretended holding the ball of snow in two hands.
"Yeah." Tina grunted, putting all her effort into picking up the head of their snowman. "But we can lift it, 'cause we're super strong." When the head was on Tina suddenly became frightened, "mum! We didn't bring a carrot! How will he smell?!" The little girl started fretting about how he won't be able to sniff flowers of smell freshly baked cookies.
"It's ok honey, he can have a special nose." Tina calmed down as her mother picked up a pine cone and planted it in the snowman's head. "Now go fetch some pebbles, ok?"
"Ok mummy." Tina giggled, running of to collect pebbles. When she returned they gave their creation eyes a mouth and buttons. "Mum he will get very cold with no clothes!" Tina said, generously giving him her own beanie and scarf. She and her mum stayed at the park for a while, Tina got cold and took the scarf and beanie back from the snow.
"What do you want to call him?" Her mum asked her as they sat down, eating a picknik lunch.
"Um..... mister snowy." Tina stated. They then made snow angles for a while before going home feeling happy, tired and cold.
