　　JOHN, THE SON OF LAURIE STRODE—AN INFAMOUS SURVIVOR OF THE Haddonfield Halloween Massacre—has been trained from a young age in combat and survival skills, shaped by the trauma of his mother's history with Michael Myers. Taken from his mother and raised in the foster system, John grapples with the haunting legacy of his mother's warnings about the ever-looming threat of the Boogeyman.

　　Sidney Prescott, the resilient Final Girl from Woodsboro. The woman that had endured more than most since she was only in high school. The woman that developed deep-rooted trust issues and a persistent shadow of fear from her encounters with Ghostface. The woman that had survived not one, not two, but three killing sprees, all because of mother's past. She never could seem to catch a break from crossing paths with whomever had taken up the mantle of Ghostface next.

　　It was as though fate had drawn them together, their understanding for one another's past trauma blossoming into a beautiful love. In only four years time, they'd gotten married and started a family together. However, as they settle into their life in Haddonfield, the specters of their pasts remain ever-present.

　　When his wife embarks on a book tour that brings her back to Woodsboro—her hometown fraught with painful memories—John takes time off to support her. However, their plans take a sinister turn when a routine book signing is shattered by chaos, revealing a gruesome discovery in the back of Sidney's rental car that signals the ominous return of Ghostface.

The character Keaton Riley respectfully belongs to dunbonnet with whom this book and the entire series is in collaboration with. Her character will be heavily featured throughout my book, and the same goes for my character in her book. Maria Schneider is a character we created together and have dedicated to void-daniella (aka our horror buddy) therefore Maria belongs to the both of us. We have co-written dialogue and planned new subplots together, so of course Andrea co-owns any and all ideas that we have come up with. Please do not steal any of our original ideas and dialogue, as plagiarism is not only illegal but incredibly hurtful.

A U T H O R　N O T E
If you hadn't noticed by now, this is a special crossover fanfic featuring the horror franchises Scream and Halloween. The idea for this crossover has been on both my mind and Andrea's for a while now, and we've finally decided to write it together after little over a year of talking about it.

The Halloween franchise has a messy timeline depending on what movies you're watching, so let's talk about what's canon and what isn't. Obviously, the original Halloween movie is canon. However, Halloween II, despite continuing where the original movie left off, is not canon. Neither is H2O, even though John exists in this series. John was just born a year before Karen and raised as she was in the new Halloween trilogy. Simple as that.

The only canon Halloween movies are the original movie and the 2018 trilogy. Which means the timeline we are using is the New Timeline. However, we are seriously revamping Halloween Ends. It won't even really be the same plot anymore, because we didn't like that movie and thought it was poorly done and just a really terrible ending to what could have been a great trilogy.

To avoid any confusion, John Strode is not the same John Strode from H20. He was not raised the same way as he was in H20 and he did not attend a private school that Laurie overseen, because again, this series strictly follows the New Timeline. John was raised as Karen was, and because of that, Andrea and I have developed his character ourselves. He is somewhat of an OC, despite having the name John Strode, which is why I will be writing for him and Sidney.

Lastly, Sidney and John met one year after the events of Scream 3. They started dating and, as stated in the summary, in only four years time, they got married and started a family and life together in Haddonfield. So yes, they will be married in the first chapter. However, just because they're have a pre-established relationship, that doesn't mean their everything is going to be sunshine and rainbows all the time. Especially with Ghostface and Michael Myers trying to kill them from time to time.
