Later that night everyone was called to the center of the camp. When we were here we got our official boot camp clothes and shoes. We also received our schedule. After that we were sent to change into the clothes. I change into my forrest green tank top, beige cargo pants, and black, rubber, lace up, combat boots. I look bad ass! I smile to myself.
When I get back to the cabin I sit on my bunk. There are now 20 people living in this cabin but all of them are teenagers.
"Ok." Says Gerard standing by the door. "Why don't we all get to know each other. How about everyone sit on the floor in a circle and we'll go around and say our name and a few facts about us."
We all do so. I sit by Mikey because he's the only one I know.
The girl on Gerard's left goes first. "I'm Elle and before I got here I played a lot of video games." Elle looks at the boy to her left.
"I'm Ethan. I used to take karate lessons and knife throwing."
It went around the circle till it got to Mikey. I looked at him as he spoke.
"I'm Mikey and I'm here with my older sister. I also like free running."
"What's that?" Ask the girl, Jenny, who's went before him.
"Free running is when you run. You don't go around things that are in your way. You climb over them."
"Cool." Jenny smiles.
My turn. "I'm Brin and before I left my sister gave my a dog tag necklace. She told me to try not to die and to wear the necklace till I got home."
"What's on the tags?" Says the girl to my left. I don't know her name yet.
I pull out my necklace and show it off. "The tags she got are my 4 favorite bands of all time. She got me Fall Out Boy, Panic! At the Disco, Twenty One Pilots, and-" I look at Gerard. "-My Chemical Romance."
"I like those bands too." Says the girl to my left. I smile at her, I can already tell we're going to be friends. It's her turn now. "Hi. My name is Sarah and I'm only here because the 'accidental' bomb that the government dropped devastated my city and I was the only one in my family who could go after the bomb." She says quietly.
"That's awful." I say putting my hand on her shoulder.
After everyone else goes the alarm sounds letting us know only 5 minutes till lights out. We all get into out beds and only now I realize something. Sarah's bed is right underneath mine. I lay down in my bunk and fall asleep immediately.
