I went out to get the mail the next week and almost flipped when I saw it,
A letter for me, one for Mikey, both from Houston, Texas. I ran in and called upstairs to Mikey. Then we got our parents and older sister, Lydia, together and we told them the news.
"So..." I say, "you all know of the talk of an upcoming rebellion. Well, me and Mikey signed up, and we got drafted..."
"What!" Mom cries, " Are you both crazy! You could be killed!"
"We're both well aware of that Mom." Says Mikey.
"Yeah, and if we die... it won't be for nothing. We truly believe in this rebellion and we got our letters today. We wanted to tell you before we opened them." I say.
"Ok. I understand. Sit down." Dad says.
We sit on the couch with Mom, Dad, and Lydia. We open the letters.

Hello. Thank you for your bravery. Your devotion to this rebellion is well appreciated. We have a large age difference between troops (13-60+) but  no matter you age you will need to bring ALL of the following to Boot Camp-
• 1 sleeping bag
• 1 hair comb
• 1 toothbrush
• at least 3 travel size toothpaste containers
• 1 pack of underwear

On April 16th you will fly out to Houston with these items along with any other necessities. See you there soon.
