Twilit Haven
Sometimes I kind of wish the world was less blue
Maybe pink, or green, or some other iridescent hue
And when the world is too crowded
And I'm honestly confounded by what people are capable of while grounded
On this desert floor
So I dream up a better place
A place between the heavens, unwasted
Where it's neither night nor day
The sun and moon dancing together
Moon drenched silver
The salt on my tongue bitter
Below that sea, magical beasts
And up above, raging pinks to the east
It's my twilit haven
No push to be normal
No judgement if I'm weird
Because it's that one place I'm neither there nor here
It's a whimsical sanctuary
And it can carry
Me up above to the clouds
