"Yasmine! Come on, we're already late." "I AM NOT COMING, HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY THAT!" I run back up the stairs of the orphanage and drop down on my bed. I'm still in my pajamas, I refuse to go dress myself to see a bunch of stupid people wasting their time to be talking and socializing, just to realize that the people they trusted and loved, betrayed them in the end. "YASMINE! I give you five more minutes to come down dressed and all, other wise you are grounded for the rest of the year! Madame Clever marries just once and she would love it if you were there." Alice Clever is the only person I really talk to, but I hate parties and socializing. "Ground me! I don't care, I don't want to go outside anyway, you want me to go outside!" I pull my earphones and let the music ban out the world, I put the music so hard I can't even hear my own thoughts.

Hours pass by and nothing changed until the door of my room is smashed open. I take out my earphones and look at the stranger who just walked in. It's a boy from a year or seventeen I guess. He has dark hair with brown eyes. I'm usually not interested in boys, but he does look quite cute. "How did you come in?" I sound a lot kinder then I should at the moment, not that I really sound nice, but still. It stays quite for a while, like he is thinking about what he will answer. "There was a window open." Wait. What. The only windows in this building that can open are on the second floor or higher and the outside walls aren't really the kind you just go climb up against. I look at him again this time with more suspicion. "I'm not hear to rob you or hurt you or something, I just want to know if you have any idea what you are capable of." He knows! How? I only told Alice and I never used my powers in public! "I don't know where you are talking about." I say extremely calm. "Oh in that case I'm sorry, I won't bother you any longer." He walks out the door and just leaves. Shouldn't I do something? What? And why? I mean what did this stupid place and the stupid people here ever did for me?
