Chapter 2
When Hyejin opened her eyes, she was greeted with the sound of thunder and heavy rain.
She glanced around and noticed an uncountable number of people bowing their heads in solemn respect.
She, along with the people dressed in strange costumes, were all under a large gazebo-like area with a lovely, flourishing garden surrounding them—which was currently getting drenched thanks to the thunderstorm. Hyejin raised an eyebrow at the direction they were all facing and saw a large, beautifully adorned golden casket with enough gems to buy a nation. By the casket stood an old man murmuring a prayer, wearing white religious clothing that was also adorned by intricate designs and small jewels. Hyejin assumed it was religious clothes, but wasn't sure as the old man bore a symbol of a sun that she didn't recognize.
She turned her head around and realized that she was the only one who didn't have her head bowed in the situation. Nonetheless, curiosity got the best of her and she found herself walking forward to see who was in the crazy expensive casket.
This is a dream, might as well fuel my curiosity.
What's the worst that could happen?
Standing still was not her forte, especially in this bizarre dream.
The last thing she remembered was getting knocked down by a car, so perhaps she was in the hospital and this was all a figment of her imagination in the midst of a coma?
A couple of whispers broke out when she walked in the direction of the casket but no one stopped her.
Since I'm dreaming, they must be obliging to my will!
When she finally stopped in front of a casket, she noticed a little girl kneeling and sobbing, who was no older than ten years old. Her arms were crossed on the open casket and she didn't even look up when she heard Hyejin approaching. Ignoring the little girl, Hyejin turned her attention to the person inside of the casket and she found her breath knocked out of her.
Inside of the casket was a gorgeous man.
No, gorgeous couldn't be used to describe the man. With long, shoulder-length black hair and a face that was surely sculpted by the gods, the man was muscular to an extent but not enough to overwhelm. Such a beautiful face, Hyejin wondered what color his eyes would be. He wore clothes that Hyejin had only seen in western movies that revolved around history. Even from a distance, she could tell that his perfectly tailored red robe was made from the finest material, possibly as expensive as the casket itself.
The little girl raised her head and Hyejin found herself astonished once again. Like a living doll, the little girl was incredibly beautiful. She had a pair of big, doe-like violet eyes and long, silky black hair. She mumbled something incoherent but Hyejin ignored her and turned her attention to the man that was unmoving in the casket.
"Your Majesty," the old man spoke in an unfamiliar language that Hyejin was able to understand.
Who?
"His Majesty will stay asleep mayhaps for a day, or for an eternity. All we can do is pray to Solaris for a miracle to fall on the monarchy of Aucainad." The old man's words were hushed, almost like he was preventing a cry at the tragedy before him.
Hyejin didn't say a word and turned back to the man. A few people were already closing the casket with a glass top, so the man was very easily seen through the transparency.
Sleeping beauty but it's a man? This dream is so weird.
A sudden, piercing pain erupted in her heart and she couldn't understand why. She gripped her fists and choked back a sob that couldn't be described as her own. The little doll-like girl next to her had already wrapped her arms around Hyejin, who didn't respond to her display of attachment. The people around them, including the old man, bowed once again and the old man mumbled another incantation that she couldn't understand.
"Your Majesty," a deep voice spoke from behind her, interrupting her moment of wallow. Hyejin had already accepted that in her dream, she was a higher authority and turned around to answer. But her words were stuck in her throat at the man in front of her.
He had golden blond hair and a pair of bloody red, yes red, eyes that were matched with a face on the same tier as the man in the casket. But if Hyejin were the describe the difference, the sleeping beauty was handsome in a cold manner, like he was a celestial ice elf. While the man in front of her was fiery with his gaze; authoritative and predatory. He wore a black suit that was embellished very lightly, so to respect the current event.
As he started to talk, she couldn't help but tune him out as the thunder roared even more ferociously. The little girl was clinging to her, the old man was talking, and the handsome man was trying to get her attention... this dream was very exhausting.
Hyejin's attention was suddenly on the reflection that the glass casket offered and she saw a woman. Not just any woman, but a bewitching woman. Long, curly brown hair and almond eyes as blue as the sky, her lips were cherry red and her face was small, like her slender but slightly voluptuous body. She wore a black dress that hugged her body like a second skin, a bit shorter than usual medieval dresses to the point that her ankles were showing. Although the dress was covered by a layer of black lace, along with a small lace headdress and lace gloves. She looked to be the personification of the word widow, from attire to the heartbroken expression she was making.
Despite all the foreigners Hyejin often saw on the internet, this woman was easily the prettiest.
Hyejin widened her eyes and noticed that the woman had too. She opened her mouth and the woman mimicked. She stuck out her tongue a bit, and the woman echoed.
She raised her hand, the woman did the same thing.
What the fuck.
"Your Majesty?" The man had realized she wasn't paying attention.
"Your Majesty!" The old man wanted to speak with her again.
The crying little girl clung even harder, to the point that her nails were digging in Hyejin's arm.
All the events happening simultaneously made her head hurt, along with the pain that was still reminiscent in her heart. She closed her eyes and the next thing she knew, she had already fainted.
♚♚♚
By the time Hyejin found herself waking up, she was ready to talk about her weird dream. However, she quickly noted that she was not in a hospital room. If anything, even a private room at the most exclusive hospital couldn't be as fancy as the room she was in.
First and foremost, the bed was as big as her old apartment and comfortable enough to stay there for a lifetime. And despite the comfort, the bed was decorated with a four-corner bed canopy, which the more she squinted her eyes, the more she was in awe that it was possibly real gold used to thread the curtains for it.
The room itself couldn't be described in size.
It was so big, that it could've been divided into different rooms. And everywhere, there were antiques such as paintings that looked stolen from a museum, vases that the Ancient Greeks had probably created, and heaven knew what else.
The wallpaper was decorative fleur-de-lis, arranged in an artistic manner that made Hyejin, the art major, applaud their sense of style.
Hyejin sat up, raising her hand and saw the flawless, pale arm and became aware of the brown, luscious curls that were splattered everywhere on the bed. She had a very foreboding feeling. With shaking hands, she pushed aside the blanket and stood up on the ground. Her silky nightgown fell on her gorgeous figure that she couldn't see until she looked in the large vanity mirror in the room.
Once again, the woman in her dream was reflected in front of her, although more clearly now. Hyejin did a round of actions and the woman in the mirror copied them.
She started to dance with the sexy body, doing miscellaneous moves like the moonwalk and the macarena to test her theory. As the supermodel fully imitated them, her theory was proven correct.
I'm in a different body.
Oh shit, I'm in a different body!
All those stories she had read, both with a male lead or a female lead were finally proving their worth today.
Either she was crazy and was continuing her dream in another dream, or it really was a transmigration?
But to get such a gorgeous body, Hyejin snickered.
Who do I have to thank for giving me the life of this rich beauty? I don't have to work for a degree and I'm pretty. I'll kiss you for giving me someone like this!
However, Hyejin began to feel a bit panicked when she thought about the current situation.
This shit always happens to be a transmigration into a book. Which character am I? Let me be an extra that is easily forgotten, please and thank you!
With the limitless wealth this body seemed to harbor, she could spend her early retirement in leisure and laze around without anyone bothering her. Maybe even do art if she wanted to.
"Your Majesty!" Once again, that title was called out to Hyejin by a plump woman dressed in a Chardonnay colored plain dress. She had her red hair in a bun and was anxiously looking around until she spotted Hyejin.
"Are you alright? Should I get the physician again? Should I—"
"I'm okay."
To find out who she occupied the body in, Hyejin decided to go for a very classic method.
"Who are you?" She innocently asked and the woman's face paled.
"Oh dear!" She turned around to call for the physician again.
Ah, amnesia.

How are you enjoying this book so far?
I'll try to do at least 1.5K words each update. Like I mentioned last chapter, updates are on Saturdays but if I get enough, I'll sneak an extra chapter. And if you haven't noticed, this is inspired by korean novels since the translations are as rare as a blue moon, I decided to write one myself. Of course, it won't be perfect but the genre is interesting as well as a lazy protagonist is a first for me, but we will roll with it + I have expectations of character development slowly throughout.
Also, I'm sure you've realized by this point but this novel features slight cursing and will feature it throughout the entirety of it. Just due to the personality of the main character :P
