Once upon a time, there was this young girl named Marinette Dupain-Cheng. She was cursed at the age of ten years old.  She found herself trapped as a genie without being able to fall in love or be loved ever since. It was the most dreadful that ever happened to her.

     Meanwhile, there was an ordinary boy named Adrien Agreste. He lived with his nanny, Natalie Sanceour.  As he recalled, she adopted him when his father abandoned him.

       Adrien walked outside for a bit of fresh air. 

     "Here, I have decided I can trust you with this."

      "What is it, sir?"

      "It is a lamp."

      Adrien looked at the worn-out object and thought it is so rusted. He handed some food to the stranger.

       "I must warn you that the lamp is not as ordinary as it seems. Do be careful with it."

         Before Adrien could thank the man, Natalie opened the door and yelled at him. Adrien felt sorry for the passing visitor. It was not as if it was his fault that his stepmother was in a bad mood today. 

        Adrien chuckled to himself as he entered the house with the lamp.
