Vinnie was feeling uneasy and this was clear from her expressions,
Steve started "Is everything alright?"
Vinnie replied " no, nothing is alright!..."
"Have you lost your favourite nail paint again?" Steve interrupted.
"I am not in a mood of joking Steve!" Vinnie replied in a cold manner.
"It's a serious issue.." Vinnie continued
"...Do you remember your research assistant Mark?"

Steve thought for a while and said
"Are you talking about that freak from a Russian Research centre?"
"Indeed, he is a freak.I came to know about one of his exexperiments about healing cancer."

"He's trying to heal cancer ? Well,I'm really astounded" Steave said with surprise.

"This was my first reaction as well, but I feel by thinking about this this rumours that he's actually doing something really terrible."
Vinnie replied with an exasperated look on her face.

"Something terrible? How do you know? And how come I didn't hear about this rumour? What's going on?"
Steve demanded with a clumsy look on his face.

"That's why I called you here.." Vinnie said "..to tell you what's going on!"

"Go ahead" Steve demanded again.

" Last evening I was returning from the hospital when Mark's research assistant met in the parking lot, He was looking frantic. He came to me and said that Mark had been working on a research plan which is related to cancer. He kept a secret hidden from me, he's actually working on a terrific research plan which intends to create a disastrous disease.." Vinnie took a pause
and continued " ..To threaten human lives also he said that it's a rare genetic disorder known as Proteus syndrome and one of the famous case of this disease was of Joseph Merrick 'The elephant man' .
I asked him why is he saying all this to me and he said "I want you to inform Mr.Steve about this. I don't have much time and I got to go" and with this he left off ,I tried to stop him, but he rushed towards the exit and I didn't get a chance to speak" Vinnie completed.
Steve was trying hard to figure out what might Mark is trying to do. Proteus syndrome is indeed a terrible genetic disorder, he better not mess with the genes ,he said to himself.
