Grace
I was watching Hudson's face go pale. Something was clearly wrong. I stood up and walked over to Hudson. He looked at me terrified. I could tell that he was trying to hide it. I gave him a hug. Being there was hard for him.
"How did you find us?" I asked.
"I heard the rocks." He whispered.
"Oh. I'm sorry."
"I'm fine." I stepped back.
"For now."
"What do you mean?" Before I could answer, there was a knock on the door. Cindy slowly opened it. Hansle was standing in the door way looking confused. Hudson filled with anger. He raged and punched Hansel hard in his nose, then angrily paced around the room.
"What was that for? Who are you guys?" He asked.
"Well I'm Cindy, this is Alana," Cindy looked at us thinking "and these people are Grace and...Hudson."
"Hudson? Grace? I know those names. I think I had a son named Hudson."
"You did. This is him."
"Really? Hudson?"
"Yeah really, but we didn't come here for a family reunion. We came here because we need your help."
"Help?" Gretal walked into the room. She saw Hudson and hugged him. It was clear that she loved him despite her brothers opinions. She looked at her brothers bloody face and laughed. Our family was very strange. None of us were "normal" I liked it that way.
"Cindy says that she had a dream about a witch." I said.
"So." Hansel said.
"So, she thinks it might be the all mighty."
"The all mighty? No one has seen that thing in years. I suppose it's possible that she can come back, but either way the all mighty only communicates with other witches and great descendants."
"Well Cindy certainly isn't a witch so she might be a great descendant."
"Maybe. Who's her mother?"
"Cinderella." I watched as Hansel's face went pale. He had a look of memory and sadness in his far away gaze.
"What? Why do you have that look on your face? What does that change?" Alana asked. Hansel just slowly walked over to Cindy, and hugged her with tears in his eyes. We were all very confused.
Hansel explained to us that he and Cinderella were a couple for a very long time. During this time, Cindy and Hudson were born. So Cindy never actually saw her real dad until she was practically an adult. Cindy was Hansel's long lost daughter. This would also mean that Cindy, Hudson, and I are triplets and that Cindy and Alana aren't related at all. Because, Alice is Prince Charming's sister, but if Charming isn't Cindy's dad, then Alana and Cindy aren't related.
"So is she a great descendant?" I asked.
"Yes. So it would be possible for the witch to communicate threw her. In your dream what happened?" Hansel asked.
"Well I was running from the witch then I tripped. I couldn't get up so the witch caught me then I woke up." Cindy replied.
"Dang it! I told Cinderella that I didn't want to have any kids! She insisted and now the fudging all mighty is after my only daughter. We can only hope she doesn't know about Hudson."
"That explains a lot." Hudson murmured.
"What do you mean after me? Why the heck would she be after me? I didn't even know she existed until ten minutes ago."
"I know and Cinderella and I tried to keep it that way. We also tried to keep it a secret that you two exist. That's why you lived with a common princess and why Hudson had to live with Alana. Unfortunately the witch somehow found out about you and now wants revenge."
"Revenge? Revenge for what?"
As it turns out when mom and Hansel went out looking for the witch, they discovered so many things about witches. When they attacked the witch, they managed to cut its arm, it's leg, and nearly kill it by slashing its stomach. The witch blasted them out of her house. They were knocked unconscious. During this time, the witch healed herself and escaped. She has been plotting her revenge ever since. Now she's ready to strike.
I can only assume that her plan is to kill everyone they love and then kill them. That means that she's going to be coming after me.
"Alana is the daughter of Alice and the mad hatter. Is she a great descendant?" I asked.
"Yes she is. Only because Alice and the Hatter went against their story's to marry and have her. We have to stop this. We have to gather a few things and make a potion. Our first stop is the nearest ocean."
"Ocean?"
"Yes. We have to have Alana and Cindy sleep as much as possible. We might be able to get some information from the all mighty threw them. Unfortunately we only have one cart so only one girl can sleep at a time."
"Would if I carry one while the other sleeps in the cart." Hudson said.
"That works. We set off tomorrow you guys stay here tonight." Hansel and Gretal had Cindy sleeping in the guest room with the rest of us in the living room.
I couldn't sleep. I was scared. I couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen. If we didn't stop this we'd all die. I listened to Hudson breathing. He was still awake. He breaths abnormally when he's asleep. I've had a lot of sleepless nights to memorize it. Hudson has night terrors when he sleeps. I on the other hand just don't sleep.
"Hey Hudson." I whispered.
"Yeah?" He responded.
"Are you scared too?"
"Yeah."
"Will you protect me?"
"Always."
"Thanks. I'll protect you too."
"Thanks."
I wasn't as scared anymore. I knew he was there for me. He always has been. Sometimes I just need to make sure. Just in case he changes his mind. As long as he has my back I've got his. We both understood that according to our story we would be closer than bark on a tree, but we probably won't follow our story based on our recent predicament.
"Do they know that you're a highly powerful being?" Hudson asked me.
"I'm pretty sure Cindy does but I don't know about Alana." I responded.
"I really hope you guys are all going to be ok. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if you guys got hurt."
"What about you? Don't you care about what happens to you?"
"No. You guys would all be better off without me. I'm not important."
"Yeah you are. You're important to me. I'm pretty sure Alana needs you."
"No I'm not. And I need Alana, she doesn't need me. Plus you're the most important person in my life and there is no way my being here helps you. I'm trouble and you know it."
"I like trouble."
"You don't like witchy trouble and apparently that's what I am." Hudson fell asleep right after he said that. I laid awake thinking. How on earth could Hansel leave him out in the cold with no explanation as to why? Plus Hudson was the sweetest little boy I knew. Then Hansel sees him for the first time in years, and he doesn't even ask how he's doing or wear he was. This all destroyed Hudson. How could a so called hero let this happen to a sweet innocent little boy. Jerk.
