All my freinds were gone. No one told me were they were going or when they would be back. No one told me anything. They all just left. I just hung out with Matt and tried to listen as Hansel talked to Jack. I wanted to know what was going on. All I gathered was that Jack would be taking us somewhere. Until then we just had to camp out. My main focus was finding out what happened to everyone else. I decided that when I found them I would kick their butts for ditching me.
"You're worried about your friends aren't you?" Matt asked.
"Yeah. I just don't understand. Why would they just leave? " I responded.
"Well, Will said he heard the twins talking about going out to find Alana. He said he was going to follow them. "
"Do you know where they're at?"
"No. I did however see Alana heading in the direction of the heart palace. She's most likely with Quinn right now."
"We have to go get them."
"It would be to long of a walk."
"Then we take Jack." Both of us ran up to Jack and explained the situation. He agreed to take us.
It wasn't a long flight. Just stressful.
We finally got there. Matt knew his way around the palace so we found them all pretty quickly. When we walked into Quinn's room, Matt hugged her and asked how she was doing. While they had their conversation I was talking to the three people who ditched me. At first we all just kind of started at each other. I was mad and they were awkward.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't beat the snot out of you guys." I said. I would never actually hurt them and I'm sure they knew that. However that doesn't mean I wouldn't punch them all.
"Because you love us?" Hudson laughed nervously.
"I said a GOOD reason."
"That is a good reason."
"You guys just left. You didn't tell me where you were going, I was in an entirely different world that I didn't know, and who knows when you would be back?"
"We left for good reasons."
"To good to remember me. I'm already forgotten and ignored by my parents. I don't need it from you guys too. I'll take you back to the camp, but after that you're on your own." I stormed off and told Jack about what was happening.
I sat on Jacks neck closest to his head. Matt sat behind me with Will, Alana, Grace, and Hudson behind him in that order. Just as we were about to leave, a stunning young girl ran up to us asking us to take her back with us.
She had long black hair. It appeared to be well taken care of. She was wearing a red baggie hoodie with grey jeans. Her eyes were white and glistening. She wasn't wearing any shoes and she had a look of fear on her face along with a small read heart on her left cheek. She was stunning.
Matt grabbed her hand and pulled her onto Jack's back to sit behind me.
We were off. When we got back to camp, I thanked Jack then established that Alana and Quinn will now be sharing a tent so will Matt and Will. I will be sleeping in a tree if I sleep at all.
Threw out the night, I mainly hung out with Hansel. Neither one of us slept so I figured I would talk to him. He explained to me why he made the choices that he did regarding Hudson and I. In the end I learned that he really wasn't bad for doing what he did. He told me that he was just going to leave him outside for a little bit, but when he went outside to bring Hudson back in, he found that he was gone. He told me that him and Gretal searched every inch of the forest. They came across six witch houses. All of them had some sort of corps in them, but they never stopped looking.
Suddenly they didn't seem so bad. Hansel always knew that I was with mom. He would call mom every now and then to make sure I was doing good. He knew that I was upset about mom's husband. There was just nothing he could do.
Near the end of the night, we talked about the amulet. He told me that he left it in a safe at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean 15 years ago.
"Why didn't you keep it?"I asked.
"I was going to, but then it would glow in the middle of the night. It would start making really loud earth trembling sounds that would make our ears bleed. We had to get rid of it. At the time I was still with your mom. I put the key to the safe on a chain and told her that no matter what happens she had to keep it around her neck. Does she still have it?" Hansel told me.
"Yeah. I asked her about it a lot but she never told me about it. In fact she never told me anything about you."
"She was pretty upset when we got divorced. She didn't understand why."
"Why did you get divorced?"
"Because I had to keep her safe. The people around me started getting hurt. I knew that her and you kids would be hurt soon too. So I divorced Cinderella and let her keep you. Then when a witch came to my house, I put Hudson outside and got rid of the witch."
"You just never told mom?"
"I didn't want her to worry." I understood why my dad left. However mom didn't know. She was left without any explanation. She was left thinking that she wasn't good enough. I would have to tell her when I got home. If I got home.
Dad and I talked about the plan. We would locate the safe in a submarine. Then we would use diving suites to get the safe into the submarine. The only problem was after that we would have to take the safe back to mom.
