Harry Potter
Harry Potter, ah, what a character! There's this underlying consensus that he deserved a far kinder childhood, especially considering the tragic fate of his parents, Lily and James. But despite the trials he faced growing up with the Dursleys, Harry's personality shines through as resilient and brave. His journey into the wizarding world is nothing short of captivating.
One of the gripes I have with Harry is his apparent reluctance to stand up for himself in front of the Dursleys. I mean, come on, mate, they're treating you like a house-elf, speak up!
Then there's the dynamic trio of Harry, Ron, and Hermione. While they make an iconic team, sometimes it feels like Harry's playing third wheel to Ron and Hermione's adventures. It's like he's the lead but not always the driving force.
Underrated? Absolutely. People tend to overlook just how loving and pure Harry is, not to mention his intelligence. Sure, he might not match Hermione's book smarts, but intelligence comes in many forms. He's got his own brand of brilliance.
Now, Ron. Ah, Ron. Sometimes I wonder why Harry's even friends with him, especially when he's acting like a jealous prat. Trust is key in any friendship, and Ron's lack of it towards Harry can be frustrating.
But then, there's Draco Malfoy. Now, there's an interesting thought. If Draco were in Harry's shoes, would things be different? Perhaps. Maybe they could've been friends, and Draco wouldn't have turned out to be such a slimy git. There were moments, like at Diagon Alley, where Draco showed a glimmer of decency towards Harry.
In the end, Harry Potter is a complex character with flaws and virtues alike. He's the heart of the story, the chosen one, but also just a bloke trying to navigate the ups and downs of life at Hogwarts. And that's why we love him, flaws and all.
