Prologue

Yorkshire, North England.

Stretching like a cat, Dave Creed groggily entered the bathroom to have a shower. He had finally been called for school but the thrill of it had already been washed out. He had been waiting for four months for his parents to find a school for him.

Dave did find a school that he wanted to go but his parents brushed the idea off when they found out how much they had to paid for it.

Finally they found one but it was in another country and his visa for that had expired so it took them about a month to get everything up again. But by then the initial excitement was gone.

"Honey, are you up yet? Your flight is this afternoon." His mum calls from his room.

Rolling his eyes, he rinsed his mouth then looked at himself in the mirror. Awfully pale blue eyes stared back at him. He better be in the mood for this or he was going to miss that plane because of his lack of interest.

Johannesburg, South Africa.

He stuffed his files in his suitcase, knowing it was still going to get squeezed at the bottom. Nathan Criss, cleared his working table, locking up the folders in his drawers and scanning quickly if there were anything else he needed.

"Nothing." He nodded, thankful that everything was already packed.

He was a marketing director and he had a meeting all the way in Florida. His plane was to take off not too far from now but the good thing was that his office wasn't too far from the airport.

His assistant knocked on the glass door, pulling him out of the staring contest he had with the table. "Mr. Criss, your driver has come with the car, sir."

"Wonderful." He picked his up his suitcase then took quick strides towards her. "I will be back by Monday. Keep everything in order."

"As you wish." She smiled at him.

Ottawa, Ontario.

The surge of adrenaline that was rushing through his body had him running into the airport. Michael Jones hadn't seen his sister since he was taken away from her when their parents died in a sudden car crash.

He had been too young to take care of her so they had taken them to a foster home. Sadly, Michael was adopted and not Camila, his sister. After years of not being able to contact the foster home, he finally did but found out his sister had been adopted.

It took the foster home about three months to find out who her new parents were and when he heard she was in Florida, he couldn't wait to get on that plane.

"What do you mean you don't want me on your case?" He practically shouted into the receiver. "I am your lawyer."

"Look dude, I know I dragged you into this but it is fine now." The stupid American man on the line started. "I just misunderstood the situation."

Mr. Marc Yen scoffed, standing up from his seat to stroll around in his office, completely peeved by what his client was saying. "So you are trying to tell me the case is off?"

"Yes. I'm sorry for the trouble."

He hung up immediately, "Sorry my ass."

Marc Yen growled at the window, entirely pissed that he'd lost that case with the stupid American. Who was he to say no to him? The offender had outright stolen from him and yet he didn't want to file charges anymore. The fuck happened between two days?

The telephone on the table started ringing making Marc just stare at it. It could be the man telling him he still wanted to file charges or his assistant giving him good news of a better case. As he picked up the phone, he prayed it was the latter.

"Good evening Mr. Yen." His assistant greeted and Marc just crossed his fingers for a good news.

"Evening Ken. Anything important?"

"Yes. I just got a call from an anonymous caller. She said she wants you to be her lawyer. Someone is pretending to be her missing uncle that owned a gay bar and since it was initially her uncle's he wants to tear the place down and build a gym there."

"How does she know it really isn't her uncle?"

"Because she knows her uncle can't do that. She was like, 'why would a gay man break down something that took him two years to build?'"

Yen broke into a grin, "It's like we've got a case, Ken."

"She also said you should meet her up in Florida this night. It is around three in America by the way."

This night? He thought about it. That's a long way from home to begin with. He was already starting to have doubts but his assistant quickly added, "Sir, she just said she'll pay three million for it."

That just did it. "Book me the next flight immediately."

"Good day sir."

LA, California.

John Blake had been sitting in the waiting area for hours only to find out the flight had been delayed and they don't know when it would be up. Frustrated, he left his things to grab something to eat.

John was a biologist and was to do an experiment with a group of university student which he honestly couldn't wait to teach. But no, the flight just had to be delayed. Wonderful.

Vienna, Austria.

Doug Moses was depressed. His business was dying and he knew he was going to get bankrupt. Staring at the ship and house samples he had built, he thought of ways to get his Architectural firm back on track. He would have to get a better Marketer, that was his first thought. The woman he had now was just too lazy and told him out flat his designs were wacky.

What could he do? He had done everything. He had made good houses, nice ships but yet nothing. The fact that he couldn't think of what was wrong was badly eating at him.

He answered the phone when it rang on the first ring, "Hello?"

"Doug honey." His girlfriend's cheery voice did nothing to help his cold mood.

"Ciara. Hey."

"Doug what's wrong? You sound sad."

"I am. My firm is going to become bankrupt if I don't get it back in the light."

"Oh, I'm sorry dear. I guess this is a bad time to tell you I need you to come over to Florida?"

"When?" He asked, checking his watch. The next flight was this night since the other just left a few minutes ago.

"Today."

"Seriously?" He wasn't surprised in the least. She normally did things like this.

There was silence on the other end for a while then she said, her tone was a little bit more serious. "I need to give you something important. Do you think you can make it? The lines are still open."

"If it is something you can say, just say it."

"I want to tell this to your face. Something big is happening here and I need to tell you before it happens. Please come."

Doug groaned, rubbing his face with his hand then said, "Okay." He couldn't say no to her anyway.

"Thanks a lot Doug." Then she hung up.

Things we do for love.

Oregon, USA.

"Brian! Get you skinny ass here before I fire you." Brian's boss called and he practically ran into his office.

"You called sir?" he said breathlessly.

"I just got news from my son." He said standing up to walk over to him, holding something in his hand. "He said he'll be flying into Florida soon. He's in Atlanta now."

Brian Collen nodded, not understanding why he was called. But he kept that to himself. The last time he talked back to the man he'd been fired. This was like his fourth job as his secretary.

"And do you know what I want you to do?"

He shook his head vigorously and his boss smiled, "I want you to go pick him up."

"Sir?" He furrowed his brow in confusion.

His boss sighed, shoving the slip which he just realized was a ticket into his hand. "Get my son is all I am asking. Fly over to Florida and pick him up. If you don't," he added as he walked back to his seat, "I'll just have fire you for good this time."

Brian's heart skipped and quickly nodded, "Sure but you didn't have to pay for me." Just know, this wasn't because he was being modest. His boss normally takes the cash from his salary.

"Pay for you?" he laughed, sitting back down on his seat. "I would never pay for you. I got it from this airline, don't know the name, but it was free. I just booked you in for your going and when you are both coming back."

Brian didn't know whether to be glad or not but he just smiled awkwardly at his boss and left. I hate that man, he sighed as he played with the ticket.

Florida, USA.

Ramus boarded the plane with his father's secretary. He hadn't said one word to him but that was hardly his business, he just wanted to find his seat and play some good game of COC.

With that in mind, he didn't notice a few things about the plane. It was covered in colors as if rainbows vomited on it, there were no host or hostess on it and there were only six people in it.

Ramus sat on a row that was completely empty and the secretary sat in the one before his. He rolled his eyes and brought out his tab to play his game.

Soon enough they were on air. The boss's son didn't notice when the pilot came out to serve them, giving them one particular drink.

The Asian man not too far from him complained about the drink and asked where they were going but the pilot only just smiled at him and carried on like he didn't hear what he had said.

The Wi-Fi on the plane suddenly turned off and that was when Ramus knew something was weird. He looked around to see everyone sleeping. The secretary, the Asian man in front, and the other five men at the back. He got out of his seat just as the pilot came out of his cabin.

"Excuse me sir. Aren't we supposed to be in Oregon?"

The awkward pilot just gapped at him for a long time. Long enough for Ramus to start feeling a little insecure.'

"Dude, talk." He said as he shoved his hands in his pocket so he won't see them shaking.

The man shrugged, walking to the Asian man saying, "You didn't drink the soda I gave you?"

"No. I didn't see it." he said after he glanced at his seat to be sure he actually gave him a drink.

"Well then. I'll tell you." He said as he got a life vest from under the Asian's chair then wore it on him. "This plane was hacked and I am not a real pilot."

"What?"

"You heard me." The man glanced at him then moved to dress his father's Secretary in another life vest. "Since you are awake with me, why don't you help me put the life vest on the rest of them? It would say their lives."

"I don't understand. What is happening?" He was panicking now. Shock and fear were making it hard for him to breath. He was on a hacked plane. Ohmygod, are the real pilots dead?

The man saw Ramus struggling to breath and he sighed. He cracked his neck to relieve the tension there then came up to him. Ramus fell on his knees instantly, "Please don't kill me."

"Okay." The man said cheerily, "But I'll still have to hit you."

"Wha-" Before he could continue, the man punched him hard in the face and he blacked out instantly.
