Chapter 8

[A/N]: I updated this story because I have a soft spot for it. Hope you like it! x

Louis got dressed up in a black suit and a red tie for his first date with the curly haired vampire. He was so nervous about this because he hasn't been on a date for years and he was scared that he might mess it up.

They were both at a famous Italian restaurant in town because Harry was trying to impress the curvy vampire. They had a VIP room all to themselves, and Harry compelled the staff to serve them their blood with an expensive red wine bottle on the side.

Harry had his curly hair pushed back, and he was wearing a black suit along with a black tie. He felt a tad nervous that Louis might freak out on him and run away again. He wanted tonight to be perfect for the two of them.

Louis couldn't help but stare at the vampire's emerald green eyes, then looked away shyly when he was caught staring. He tried to come up with any topic to talk about, anything. So, he blurted out, "Did you like... the 80s?"

Harry chuckled at his sudden and random question. He thought about it for a moment before he said, "I quite enjoyed it, yes. Making Mixtapes during the Michael Jackson era and the live aid concert with Queen. Legendry!"

Louis watched the way the vampire's facial expression changed to a smile at the remembrance of a time once long gone. He loved how he saw things in such a positive light, and he felt like he really need that in his life. He smiled to himself and looked down.

Harry leaned forward and asked, "What about you?" as he watched him curiously, trying to understand him further and know more about him.

Louis looked up, getting off guard a bit and said, "I, uh, yeah. It was all right," he feels kind of stupid for giving him that answer, but all he has are negative thoughts about the 80s. He doesn't even know why he asked that question.

Harry smiled at his awkward answer, held his small hands into his and mumbled, "You can talk to me, you're all right."

When Louis felt the other vampire's cold hands in his, he ironically felt warm and content. It felt familiar, and he didn't want him to let go. He smiled at him, and it was genuine. Their interaction felt almost normal, and he really doesn't want to jinx it. He replied, "One of my sisters died in the 80s, I realized that after I asked, I'm sorry," and shook his head in shame. He was so afraid that he ruined the evening already.

Harry pinched his eyebrows together in concern and squeezed his hands as he said, "Hey, it's all right, there's nothing to be sorry about. I am so sorry for her loss; I am sure she was lovely."

His breath hitched and tried to even out his breathing to calm himself down. He's too sensitive for his own good, and he hates that. He then smiled a bit at the memory of his sister and said, "She really was... lovely," and chuckled as he continued, "Made the best cup of tea and she always had a story to talk about."

Harry rubbed the back of his hands with his thumb as he watched him fondly. He said, "She was lucky to have you."

Louis took a deep breath and let it out slowly to calm himself down. He didn't want to continue being sad; he just wants to forget all his pain. He said, "Anyway," and chuckled as he wiped his tears with one hand. He continued, "The weather is cold, yeah?"

Harry laughed at the way he changed the subject and said as he nodded his head, "Yeah, I noticed."

They both spent the night drinking different blood types and laughing when they would notice a difference between all of them. Harry tried his best to cheer the vampire up and make him forget.

It worked because the vampire wouldn't stop laughing the whole night and he almost couldn't recognize himself.

Harry made a face after he sipped the waiter's blood and said, "This one..." he laughed as he continued, "Does not drink enough water and it shows," then they both started laughing together in union.

Louis noticed that there are a few hours left before the sun comes up. He asked, "Let's go?" and stood up.

The curly haired vampire nodded with a smirk and stood up. He went over to him and wrapped his arms around his waist. He whispered against his cheek, "You're gorgeous," and kissed under his ear lightly.

Louis blushed as he felt the vampire holding him close and shut his eyes. He's not used to this kind of touch, and he didn't want to push him away this time.

Harry started kissing down his neck and lightly pushed him against the restaurant wall. He felt his own bulge growing and stopped himself while resting his forehead against his. He said while looking into his eyes, "I want you."

Louis couldn't remove his eyes away from the vampire's sharp gaze and said, "I know."

Harry smirked and said, "Yeah?"

Louis replied breathlessly, "Yeah."

Harry pecked his pointy nose and said, "Let's get you home before Liam worries, hm?"

The curvy vampire nodded, and they both started walking together hand in hand.

While they were walking together in the cold street, Harry asked curiously, "Did you feel comfortable with me tonight?"

Louis thought about it for a moment, thinking of everything that has happened tonight and replied honestly, "Yeah, I haven't felt comfortable with anyone other than Liam before."

Harry smiled warmly and observed him as he talked and said, "I feel special then."

Louis chuckled while shaking his head at how silly the vampire is and after a silent moment, he said, "You are," and looked at him.

Harry smiled to himself and they walked in silence until they reached home.
