Chapter 7

[A/N]: It's been a while since I wrote a chapter here. Hope you guys are still reading this. I love you, babies.

Louis walked into the room and said, "Know about what?" and looked at the two older vampires in front of him.

They both looked at him then looked at each other and Harry said, "Nothing."

Liam shrugged his shoulders, acting normal and said, "Yeah," and before Louis could say anything, he added, "So, let's get you some B positive?" and wrapped his arm around him as he led him into the kitchen.

Louis furrowed his brows as he looked back at Harry who gave him an assuring smile. Once the two vampires were out of sight, Harry let out a breath and started following them.

Liam poured some B+ in two glasses and handed one to Louis. Liam added alcohol to his drink and took a sip before he said, "So, do you have any plans for tonight?"

Louis sat down on one of the high stools and said, "No, why? Are you taking me out?"

Harry walked into the room and said, "I am," as he wrapped his arms around his neck and kissed his cheek.

The smaller vampire wasn't used to someone showing him affection, especially not in front of Liam. He felt tingly in the pit of his stomach as he smiled at the older vampire's embrace.

Liam looked at Harry's interaction with the younger vampire and said, "Are you sure about that?" and maintained eye contact with him.

Harry moved away from the embrace and nodded at him before adverting his eyes down at the beautiful vampire below him. Louis was taking a sip of his B+ blood, hummed and said, "Ironically, blood makes me feel alive again."

Liam smiled at his comment and said, "That's the whole point," and added, "Don't get too addicted."

Louis wiped his mouth with some tissues and said, "I want to try to drink directly from the source -"

Harry and Liam said at the same time, "No," then looked at each other.

Louis raised his eyebrows in surprise and said, "Uh-kay."

After a moment of silence, Liam explained, "It might make you aggressive."

Louis stood up from the high stool and said, "But you know I can handle myself."

Harry rubbed the back of his neck with his right hand and said, "That's what they all say... until the human in front of them ends up dead."

Louis frowned at the thought and said, "But it's different for me because of Liam –"

Liam slammed his drink on the table harshly, breaking it in the process and interrupted him, "Years of not doing it is not a reward, Louis."

Harry and Louis were silent. Harry immediately turned to look at the other vampire's reaction to see if he is okay. Louis bit the inside of his cheek lightly and walked out of the kitchen. Harry watched him walk out of the kitchen and looked back at Liam who had his back to him.

Liam sighed once he felt that Louis left the room. He looked down at the broken glass on the table and on the floor. He said, almost to himself, "Great," and started cleaning up the mess.

Harry asked, "Does this... usually, happen?"

Liam shrugged as he threw the glass in the bin and said, "Usually happens once in every few years, he'll be alright."

Harry saw the blood stain on the table and went to grab a towel. He said, "Don't be so hard on him," and started cleaning the stain on the table.

Liam leaned his hips against the kitchen counter to look at him and said, "I have to be like that sometimes for him to understand."

Harry looked at the blood-filled towel in his hands and threw it in the bin. He turned on the water to clean his hands and said, "I understand that you're trying to protect him but," and turned off the water. He dried his hands and continued, "He's a vampire who managed to not get himself and others killed for years."

Liam used his hearing senses to search for the other vampire's presence in the house. He heard Louis walking around his bedroom back and forth. He said, "You're right," and after a moment, he added, "I better go check up on him."

Liam stood in front of his room and knocked three times. He waited as he heard some shuffling inside and Louis opened the door with half of his face peeking through.

Louis asked, "Yeah?"

Liam stood there with both of his hands behind his back and said, "Can I come in or am I not allowed?"

Louis shrugged and said, "If you want," and opened the door wider for Liam to walk through.

When Liam got into the room, he sat down on the couch and said, "Sit down."

Louis sat down on the same couch but not too close to him and stayed quiet while looking down at his hands.

Liam turned to face him and said, "I apologize for my behavior earlier."

Louis bit the inside of his cheek lightly and said, "I'm sorry, too."

Liam shook his head and said, "You don't have to, I was stressed so I overreacted."

Louis finally looked at him and asked, "From what?"

"You're the closest thing I have to a son so if anything happened to you, I wouldn't forgive myself," Liam confessed.

Louis looked down at his hands and said, "Why would you think that?" and looked at him again.

Liam breathed in and out, looked him in the eye for a moment, debating whether he should tell him or not. He finally said, "I'm not supposed to worry you."

Harry was standing outside the door, listening to the conversation while biting his nail nervously.

Louis insisted, "Worry me about what? Tell me."

Harry walked into the room and said, "Louis, we're going to be late," and glared at Liam to keep his mouth shut. Liam just looked away.

Louis said, "I'll be out in a minute."

Liam stood up and said, "It's fine, you two go and have fun."

Louis furrowed his brows and said, "But –"

Liam interrupted, "We will talk when you're back," and left the room.

Harry wrapped his arm around his waist and whispered in his ear, "Let's go?"

Louis looked unsure but he smiled anyway and said, "Sure."
