A person identifying as pansexual feels sexual attraction to all people regardless of gender. To simplify, pansexuals do not care about and do not add a persons gender into the equation when sexually attracted to someone.

Someone identifying as pansexual will have no sexual preference over those who consider themselves cisgender, bigender, demigender, transgender, androgynous, or any other gender, and can date any of them without regard of the other's sexuality.

A common phrase for describing pansexuals is, "Hearts not parts."
