As you finished eating dinner, you felt yourself growing anxious. It was almost time to go to the portal, and you weren't sure how to feel. On one hand you were excited to get your memories back and see the place you supposedly grew up in, but at the same time, your memories had been wiped for a reason.

Jin noticed your anxious state and intertwined his fingers with yours as Namjoon began to lead everyone in the direction of the portal. The sun was beginning to set, filling the sky with beautiful pastel pinks and purples. The sight almost managed to calm you down.

Jin rubbed his fingers soothingly over your hand and sent you an ethereal smile when you made eye contact. The tips of your ears burned red at the siren's gaze. How could someone look that good? It wasn't fair. "It'll be okay," he whispered to you. "We'll be here with you every step of the way." You nodded, grateful for his words, but the nerves in your stomach were still strong.

You followed Namjoon and the others through the forest, watching as the lake sparkled in the moonlight. You let go of Jin's hand and walked over to the lake, admiring the way the water looked even more blue under the night sky.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" You gasped quietly and turned to see Jungkook looking at you.

"The water? Yeah, it is," you said, a smile appearing on your face as you turned back to the water.

"Yeah, the water," Jungkook said, his voice trailing off. But he wasn't looking at the water. He was looking at the way your eyes sparkled in the moonlight. The reflection of the blue water dancing in your amethyst eye, making it swirl and sparkle. He really hoped you would still like him after you got your memories back.

"This way," Namjoon called out, standing in front of a few bushes that covered the path towards the portal. You frowned, how was there even a path there? It looked overgrown.

Namjoon seemed to notice your confusion and sent you a smirk, waving his hands. Your jaw dropped as the bushes moved to the side, creating a clear path. All the foliage had moved actually, leaving a smug Namjoon standing, hands now in his pockets. "Come on. We don't have all night."

You rolled your eyes and watched as everyone trailed after him. Everyone except Jimin. The angel was standing by the path, his wings flapping erratically. He was nervous. You walked over to him and took his hand. "It'll be okay, Jimin. I'm sure whatever you remember isn't that bad."

Jimin looked at you with wide eyes. "It's the worst thing anyone could ever remember, Resi. But I don't expect you to understand." He removed his hand and trudged down the path, leaving you frozen, mouth open in shock. Jimin wasn't one to snap, so you just blamed it on his nerves. But you couldn't deny it hurt you.

Too many people were snapping at you now, and it had to stop. It was time to put on a thicker skin. You sighed and followed him down, reaching the end where everyone was gathered, all eyes on the portal. The sight of it made you stop in your tracks, the swirling mist hypnotising you.

It was a mix of pink and white, faint sparkles mixed in between it. It was against a tree, with purple flowers growing next to it. There was no doubt this was the portal.

"Are you sure it goes to Empyrean?" You asked cautiously. There were other supernatural areas.

Namjoon nodded. "Yes, I've gone through one before."

"So have I," Jungkook said. Everyone apart from Taehyung seemed not enthusiastic to trust the warlock and fallen angel, but the look in Jungkook's eyes made you know it was safe.

As you went to take a step closer to the portal, Yoongi stiffened. "Be quiet," he said. "Someone's nearby." Everyone froze and Namjoon fiddled with his fingers behind his back. You eyed him carefully, he could have set a trap for you all.

"I'll have a look," Taehyung offered, but Yoongi shook his head. You panicked internally, who could be after you?

Yoongi kept his ears trained on the sound, before waving a hand. "They're gone, let's go." But no one made a move to travel through the mist, so you sighed.

"Fine, I'll go first. See you all in a bit." And with that, you stepped inside the swirling mist, feeling like the air around you had been sucked out. Your head spun and before you knew it, you were on the ground, head in your hands, groaning in pain.

After a few minutes you tried to look up, but the pain hadn't stopped, and your vision was blurry. Was travelling through portals supposed to have side effects? You tried to stand up, but a hand grabbed your arm, another coming on the other side.

"Hello?" Your voice was weak, but you got no answer except for a deep chuckle coming from in front of you. You tried to steady your head, blinking until a man came into your vision. He had black, graying hair, and a long beard. He was dressed in dark purple robes and was tall. Very tall. He almost reminded you of Namjoon.

"Well, hello, Resi," he said, smiling. "I've finally found you."

"What do you mean? Who are you?" You tried to pry your arms out of the grips of the men, but to no avail.

"I'm King Alatar of Agartha. I'm sure you've heard a lot about me."

Jin gasped as the mist faded away as soon as you stepped inside. Namjoon ran to it, trying to grab the mist in his fingers, but it was gone. Hoseok grabbed Namjoon's arm, fear and anger in his eyes. "What happened? Where did Resi go?"

Namjoon shrugged. "I-I don't know. This isn't supposed to happen." Yoongi crossed his arms, tapping his foot impatiently.

"You tricked us."

Namjoon held his hands up. "I didn't." Jungkook stepped in front of the warlock.

"He didn't. He wouldn't."

Yoongi cocked his head to the side. "And why should we believe you?"

Jimin sighed. He was feeling guilty for snapping at you before you went. What if you never came back and he couldn't make things right? "We should believe him because Resi did," Jimin said. "I trust her judgement."

Namjoon nod his head as a sign of appreciation and Yoongi uncrossed his arms. "Okay, fine. But the portal's gone. What now?"

Namjoon raised a hand to his chin, pondering. "Well, I'm going to assume whoever was on the other side, closed the portal. They must have just wanted her, but why?"

"The map," Taehyung said simply. "It has a lot of magic, it's worth a lot." Namjoon paled.

"No, oh no."

"What?" Jin asked. "What is it?"

Namjoon fumbled through his pockets, searching for something. "My father. He has her."

"But why?" Hoseok asked, his tone harsh.

"He wants the map, he wants the contract. We have to get her and we have to be quick."

"But, we can't," Jimin said. "The only other way is by magic of the sun and it's night time."

"Thanks for pointing out the obvious," Yoongi said, rolling his eyes. "We just have to wait."

"But, we have to save her," Jin said. He looked at Namjoon. "Is there any other way?" The warlock shook his head.

"We just have to wait."
