Hiccup's POV

"Toothless!" I pushed his head away so he would stop licking me. He looked at me in delight. "I told you not to wake me up that way!"

Toothless nodded and quickly helped me up. "So, where do you think we are buddy?" I asked, getting a good look of the place.

Toothless gave me a nudge as he pushed the book we got back at Berk to me. I completely forgot about the book! But still, it's shut tight. Who knows what it takes to open it. Maybe this book is a key to getting home? If so, I better find a way to open this thing!

We walked around the unfamiliar place. This is the place where the gateway leads? I'm pretty sure this isn't heaven or hell or outer space. That's two of the rumours of the gateway down. That leaves with paradise or another world. So, this is the place where no one comes back? It doesn't look too bad, yet. Me trying to be positive, kinda failing.

I spotted three kids playing and I went to them. "Excuse me, can you tell me where I am?"  I asked.

They looked at me but then started screaming. "It's a dragon!" One of them yelled and ran away, followed by the other two.

"Wait, he's friendly!" I tried to stop them but it was too late. I looked back at Toothless. "Well, whatever this place is, they must be scared of dragons."

Toothless wailed and lowered his head."Hey, don't be sad about it! Berk used to fear you as well and look at how much has changed!" I comforted him.

And so we continued our exploration. The people here were frightened by Toothless, they backed away at the sight of him. Even though I tried approaching someone without Toothless, I told him to stay and wait, that someone ran away instantly. Some avoided and ignored us. All I could wonder was why they did this. We haven't done anything!

"Hey, nice costume!" A boy laughed as he passed by.

"Wait, can you help me? Please!" I asked.

He continued laughing and walked away. I stopped him but all he did was push me away. How unhelpful! I would have got Toothless to shoot you if I was in a worse mood.

I walked back but Toothless was nowhere to be seen. "Toothless? Toothless?"  I called out. He came flying down. He quickly pushed me forward. "What is it? Did you find something?"  I asked.

He lowered himself down and I quickly got on him. We flew up and away, until we reached a school. The school name was Alternia High School. Please, please, please, please let there be someone who will talk to me and help me.

"Toothless, you stay out here and wait, all right?" I instructed. He went to a shady tree and waited there.

I went up the steps and opened the doors of the school. To my surprise, there was no one! Then I realised everyone's probably in class. I wandered around the school until I found a library.

There was no librarian in sight so I helped myself. I looked for the history and geography section, I need to know what this place is, where exactly I am, and any clue on how to get back to Berk.

"Hey!" A voice startled me, I turned around, it was a librarian. "Shouldn't you be in class?"

"I uh..." I started.

"Back to your class before I make a report!" She demanded.

"Ma'am, I'm not-"

"No excuses!" She said and pushed me out of the library.

I sighed and wandered around the school again. The bell rang and plenty of students came out of their respective classes. Many looked at me weirdly but didn't stop to ask. Many were rushing to the next class.

"Excuse me, excuse me! Can someone help me?" I pleaded but no one bothered. Why can't anyone be of any assistance?!

Someone kicked my metal leg, I lost my balance and fell down. That someone was laughing at me. A crowd surrounded me but they didn't offer any help.

"Aww do you need a wheelchair?" He asked, laughing. "What kind of ridiculous outfit is that?"

I looked back at him in the eye but I didn't say anything. "What's the matter? Can't talk?"  He asked and pushed me. I nearly lost my balance but I didn't fall this time.

"Hey!" A girl pushed herself through the crowd. "You ought to be ashamed of yourself, bullying the disabled!" She told to the boy that pushed me.

"I do as I please, and you will end up much worse than him of you still dare to speak! You have no idea who you're dealing with, buster!" He shouted.

Just before he charged at the girl who helped me, I quickly pulled her towards me, leaving the boy charging into the crowd. He hurt his head and glared at both of us. He angrily stomped off.

"Thank you." She said.

"Thank you too." I said.

"I'm-" She got cut short, a black shadow spread all over the hallway. Many students began to run, I didn't hear what they were saying but they sounded afraid. The rest backed away to the lockers, it's like they were making room for someone.

"You have to hide, I'll explain it later. Quick!" She instructed as she beckoned to the lockers. We blended in with the rest of the students. I had no idea what was going on but it sounds really serious.

Five people walked down the idle created by the students. I have a feeling that they rule this school, everyone's seems to be afraid of them. I could hear it from the panic stricken voices around me.

A girl suddenly came out of the line of students and bumped into one of the group and dropped her books which scattered all over the floor.

"I'm sorry!" She said, quickly crouching down to pick up her books. It seemed to really anger that group of people. One of them grabbed her by the collar and pushed her hardly.  He had reddish-brown hair. "How dare you!" He shouted.

"Come on tough guy, quit wasting time." One of the five said, pulling the reddish-brown hair guy. I got a good look at him and got the shock of my life.

"Drago!" I gasped in disbelief.
