Elsa's POV

"Do we arrange the letters into a word?" I asked, staring at the five letters. Could you not make our job any easier?! Anna's in Pitch's hands and I can't waste time on this! She's in danger!

"Enlighten me on what word can be made from A, C, D, E and I." Eugene crossed his arms.

"Can you not right now?!" I snapped. I looked up to the sky, Anna is somewhere up there... I swear if Pitch dares to lay a finger on Anna, I'll finish him myself.

I remember just... Watching, in horror as I saw Anna and a few more being grabbed by a gigantic hand of nightmare sand, they were screaming, Pitch was laughing, saying "Show yourselves, or these people pay the price! You can't hide from me, I will find you, one by one!". And I couldn't do anything. My friends, my sister...

Jack had to constantly stop me from letting my emotions take over me. "We can't lose you too." He would say. "We need you, I need you..."

We did a head count, there were 28 of us earlier, not counting animals, now there's only 15 of us left which are Jack, Hiccup, Eugene, Olaf, Bunny, Tooth, Jamie, Cupcake, Elinor, Aidan, Cleo, Darrel, Ethan, Isabelle and me.

"What if it isn't a word?" Elinor suggested. "Maybe it's a sentence? Each letter is a word."

"Could be, but even if we solve that, we still need the five elements. I've got wind covered, we can find some water, we can light a fire, I'm assuming this tree is one of the elements, but what's the fifth?" Jack said.

"I've read that darkness can also be considered as an element." Isabelle stated. "Or light too."

"In that case, we should just prepare the four elements that we are sure of first. Maybe we'll find out what the fifth one is during the process." Hiccup said.

"Gotcha." Jack nodded and tapped his staff to the ground, a cold winter breeze came. "Now, who's got a match?"

"There's some at home." Jamie said. "Should I get a glass of water too?"

"That's as good as we'll ever get." Jack said. "Come on, I'll go with you."

"Me too." Cupcake volunteered with Olaf.

"Stay safe." I said to Jack.

"You know I will." He winked at me. "You too."

Ethan dug into his pockets. "I know I wasn't really supposed to touch this, but..." He had a handful of nightmare sand. "I hope it'll be useful now."

"Try scattering it around the tree." Tooth said.

"But what if it dies?!" Aidan protested.

"Then we'll know this isn't the right tree. There's no way we're certain that this is the right tree, it's like finding a needle in a haystack. And I know that Manny will do anything to keep the right tree alive, the nightmare sand will prove it." Tooth replied.

"Ok..." Ethan gulped, nervously pouring the nightmare sand from his palms to the tree in a circle.

Nothing happened, we let out a sigh of relief. Honestly, none of us know what will happen when we actually gather everything.

"Hurry!" We turned around, it was Cupcake, with a torchlight. Olaf was holding a candle. Jamie was running with a glass of water, Jack was flying with a box of matches.

"All right, let's light it up!" Eugene said.

"We brought a torchlight too, just in case. Light's an element, right?" Jack asked, trying to light a match. The match then went to the candle.

"Heat!" Olaf said in excitement. Jamie put the glass of water beside the lighted candle.

"Try that flashlight." Aidan gave Cupcake a nudge. She switched it on, and still nothing happened.

"Now what?" Cleo asked. "Maybe the five letters spell the fifth element?"

"I can't think of any word from the letters." Darrel confessed.

"All right, we have a problem." I sighed.

"What if... Each letter spells one element?" Jamie asked.

"A for air? E for earth?" Cupcake added.

"I for ice?" I created an ice block.

"And what do we have here?" A gust of nightmare sand blinded our sight, it was Pitch. "Ah, so nice of you guys, all gathered together, makes things easier." Nightmares began to crowd around us.

Third Person POV

Everyone backed away from Pitch, but there wasn't anywhere to run, they were surrounded. Pitch looked at them with a wicked smile.

"Where's Anna and the rest?!" Elsa demanded. "I will freeze you to death if you dare lay a finger on her!"

"Oh don't worry, you'll be joining them very, very soon." Pitch said. "Now then, if everyone can just listen to-"

"I won't go down without a fight." Jack said firmly.

"Fine then." Pitch said and flicked his wrist and Jack was knocked out cold instantly with the nightmare sand.

"Jack!" Elsa rushed to him.

As Cleo backed away even more, she stepped on the letter C. A part of the tree suddenly caught fire, which she screamed. Everyone looked at the tree is amazement.

Aidan suddenly had a massive headache, a vision of the letter A kept appearing in his mind. The Voice Of Nature was trying to tell him something. He then understood, and stepped on the letter A. He could have sworn the tree grew a few extra branches and waved at him.

"Darrel, Ethan, Isabelle! Quick!" Aidan exclaimed.

"What's going on?!" Ethan asked.

"I have no idea, but just step on the letters!" Aidan snapped. "The first letter of your name! I don't know how I know but I just know, ok?!"

"Oh sure, make ourselves look like idiots before we die!" Darrel yelled and stepped on the letter D. A large amount of water appeared out of nowhere, putting out the fire on the tree.

When Ethan stepped on the letter E, a wind so strong that it's as if it could blow everyone away arrived. A tornado of leaves surrounded everyone. Isabelle stepped on the letter I and a lightning bolt struck the tree.

"What is happening?!" Pitch demanded. "What game are you playing with me?!"

That's when a bright light shone from Aidan, Cleo, Darrel, Ethan and Isabelle. When they opened their eyes, their eyes were glowing.
