North's POV

As Elsa and Merida were explaining what happened, Sandy had to interrupt them. From the looks of it, he looked awfully worried.

"What's he saying?" Eugene asked.

"Really?" Bunny asked, ignoring Eugene.

"No... You don't think that..." Tooth trailed away.

"Will someone please explain what he's saying?!" Kristoff asked.

"Sandy had a suspicion on Jack ever since he fainted. He once sensed darkness in Jack while trying to cure him. Sandy's worried that Pitch may have done something to Jack that caused the recent events. And now that Jack's just destroyed your ice flower, his new behaviour and all, Jack might not be in control of himself." I explained.

"Sandy believes that Pitch is after the key, he's trying to stop us from finding our way home. That's most likely why he destroyed your flower. Because even without one item, the key can't be formed." Tooth continued.

"Then where's Jack right now? We have to keep a close eye on him from now on." Anna looked around.

"Oh no... He could be looking for the other objects!" Olaf shrieked in horror. "Quick, we gotta find him before he destroys more stuff!"

Merida turned to Elsa. "Didn't Jack say we had to stop him? What if he meant himself? What if he's trapped in his own body?"

"That makes so much sense now... Are The Nightmares capable of doing such a thing?" Elsa asked.

"Who knows what upgrades they did to themselves ever since coming to this place." Rapunzel replied.

"We have to find Jack, now." I got up. "Search everywhere."

Hiccup's POV

So I just finished feeding Toothless when Jack appeared out of nowhere behind me. He seemed to be searching for something.

"Need a hand? What are you looking for?" I asked.

Again, Jack didn't say anything. I rolled my eyes.

"Jack, won't you say something?" I pleaded. It's just so weird to see Jack like that, he's never been like that before. Seriously, what is wrong with him?

I looked at Jack in astonishment when the left side of his blue hoodie began changing to black. I quickly stopped him and pointed to the black patch. "Jack, your... It's changing! Are you all right?"

Jack roughly pushed me away, again. That's when I saw his eyes. They were golden yellow in colour. Only this time, it seemed permanent. I rubbed my eyes to make sure. "Jack... What happened to you...?" I gulped, backing away from him.

Jack smirked, walking towards me. With each step, his silvery white hair slowly changed to black. Toothless fired at him but he deflected it, not with ice, but with black sand.

"Stay away from me Jack." I warned, slowly reaching to my dagger. "I don't wanna hurt you."

"Hiccup!" I turned around and saw the rest dashing towards us.

Suddenly, Jack grabbed me and wrapped his arm around my neck. I was choking, couldn't catch my breath and I dropped my dagger. The rest surrounded us.

"What's going on Jack?! Let me go!" I struggled to get his hand away from my neck.

"Release him Jack." North commanded.

Again, Toothless fired, at the both of us! Jack created a barrier of black sand surrounding us. I was completely blinded. When the barrier was brought down, I looked at the new Jack in horror.

"Pitch, you better let go of Jack, or else!" Bunny yelled out loud.

"Let Hiccup go!" Merida demanded, aiming an arrow.

Jack wrapped his arm even tighter around my neck. I tried to elbow him but I couldn't, I was suffocating. "Jack... Let... Go..." I pleaded.

Just as the rest edged in closer to the both of us, Jack fired a blast of black sand at the ground. Five people came out of it. All of us recognised them, The Nightmares. Drago looked at me with a smirk.

"Well, well, we finally meet all of you. It isn't exactly the perfect time, the perfect ambush that we've planned, but oh well." Pitch laughed. "Good work, Jack." Pitch patted Jack on the back.

"Let him go! You have no right to take control of him, you have no right to take Jack's free will!" Elsa yelled.

"Would you like to join him?" Pitch challenged.

Merida let go of her arrow but it was stopped by Mor'du. "Tough girl, not for long." He said as he snapped the arrow in half.

Merida looked at me, her face says it all. "Hang in there." She mouthed to me. Gee, thanks. I said in my head.

"Pitch, you have got thirty seconds to let Jack and Hiccup go-"

"Or what?" Pitch cut Tooth off. "What can you do?"

"Leave us alone, Nightmares. You wouldn't want to know what happens if you didn't." Anna crossed her arms.

"YOU wouldn't want to know what happens if you don't follow our orders." Hans threatened.

"And YOU wouldn't want to know what happens if you dare lay a finger on Anna." Elsa said, her hands starting to glow blue.

I managed to loosen Jack's grip on me, slightly. As long as it's enough to let me breathe, I'm good. I wish I had my dagger with me right now, but at the same time, I don't wanna hurt Jack. Come on, Hiccup, think of a way to escape!

I decided to elbow my way out again. Slowly, carefully, don't rush it, get a good grip on yourself...

I took a deep breath, and elbowed Jack as hard as I could at his stomach. Sorry, Jack! The impact caused me to slip free, but that wasn't the end yet. Drago punched me and I fell down. When I looked back at Drago, he had an ice barrier around him. I smiled weakly as Elsa. I quickly pulled myself together and tried to get to the rest.

"And where do you think you're going?" Pitch asked. I was being pulled towards him by his nightmare sand, he then had his sand surround me, restricting any movement. "No one runs away."

Third Person POV

"Got a plan?" Eugene whispered to North. "We're not ready for this."

"So... How ever should we settle this, North?" Pitch asked, smirking. "Why don't you just give in and we can all be on our way."

"Never." North said, pulling out his sword. "We ain't going down without a fight."

"Oh please, you don't know the first thing about this place, and we already rule it. You have no idea who we are now. We've upgraded ourselves." Pitch said.

"Really? What's new about you?" Bunny challenged.

"I think we've talked enough." Gothel glared.

"I haven't even got to ask, but how in the world are you here?!" Rapunzel demanded.

"Oh you wouldn't want to know, my flower. Magic has its strange ways." Gothel smirked.

"Enough talk." Pitch cleared his throat. "North, you decide. We can do this the easy way or the hard way."

"Haven't you heard enough times already? We won't give up that easily." North groaned. 

"Who are you to tell us what to do?" Olaf added.

Pitch snapped his fingers, and instantly Hiccup was suffocating, again. He choked on Pitch's sand. What am I to you, Pitch?! Hiccup yelled mentally. You can do what you want with me but we won't ever give in. At least, I won't. I can't risk everyone getting in danger just to save me. 

"You better stop that!" Merida yelled in fury. In fact, she was so angry until she even got tears trickling down her face. 

"Your life or his, little girl." Drago crossed his arms.

"Why don't you just follow us and we will let the boy go?" Gothel asked.

"Like you're gonna keep that promise!" Eugene charged at Gothel but he got swooped up by Mor'du. "Let me go, you beast!"

"THAT'S IT!" Elsa shouted, five sharp icicles were shot off from her hands, each travelling to one of The Nightmares. "If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!"

Elsa, Rapunzel and Merida teamed up to Mor'du, freeing Eugene. Elsa's icicle was enough to knock Mor'du off guard, but not enough to wound him. Hans and Gothel faced Anna, Kristoff and Olaf. Anna and Kristoff managed to dodge Gothel's stabs with her dagger. Olaf had no effect to the stabs he received as he tried to take away the dagger from Gothel. Hans tried to stab Anna with his sword nonstop.

Toothless, North, Bunny, Tooth and Sandy ganged up on Pitch and Drago but they had backup, Jack. Jack mercilessly attacked the Guardians and Toothless. Jack was often used to shield Pitch and Drago so the rest had to be careful with their attacks. As for Hiccup, he was unable to do anything but watch the dreadful war going on. 

Gothel and Hans finally decided to show off one of the upgrades they had acquired. Due to their similarities, swords, daggers, they could work together. Hans' sword touched the tip of Gothel's dagger and it forged into one. Gothel let go of it and it seemed to be floating in the air. She was somehow able to control it. During that, a shadow of a sword formed below Hans and when he grabbed it, the sword became real.

"AHHHHH!" Anna's scream stopped everybody in their tracks. Gothel let out a menacing laugh, looking at the bloody sword-dagger hybrid.

"Perfect!" Hans said gleefully but then got shot off by Toothless.

"ANNA!" Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf ran to her. 

"Gotta stop the bleeding gotta stop the bleeding!" Olaf said frantically, sitting on Anna's wound.

When Merida called out for Rapunzel, she then realised that Rapunzel was unconscious. Eugene was right beside her, with blood trickling down his forehead. Merida nearly fainted when she was Mor'du in his bear form again, the flashbacks striking her. Tooth then came flying down, unconscious as well. North's swords were flung away and had severely injured Toothless.

"Give up, all of you! You know you can't win this, just look!" Drago said. "Would you like more to get injured?"

Elsa gave into her rage, pinning Drago against a tree with a cage of spikes, with one threatening to impale his neck. She pinned Mor'du, now human again, to the ground by freezing his hands and legs to the ground. Just as she was about to strike at Pitch, Jack took the blow. "Jack!" Elsa cried in horror. "No, no, no, what have I done..."

Jack, seemingly unaffected, took advantage of the moment and shot his powers at Elsa, knocking her unconscious. After that, the shot directed itself to Bunny and Sandy. 

"Elsa!" Hiccup and Merida screamed. 

North, Merida, Kristoff and Olaf were the only ones remaining. Hiccup looked at Toothless who had also passed out, bleeding. He let a few tears trickle down.

"Well? You claimed you wouldn't go down without a fight. We had a fight. With four of you still operational, I think you better listen to us now." Pitch gasped for breath. "We are obviously no match for you, we aren't who you thought we were now."

"You aren't doing anything to them!" A new voice echoed and suddenly coloured smoke bombs were thrown everywhere.

A few seconds later, after the smoke cleared, only Pitch, Drago, Mor'du, Hans, Gothel, Jack and Hiccup were remaining. "NO!" Hans exclaimed.

"Where did they go?!" Drago asked in anger.

"Argh we should have killed them when we had the chance!" Gothel stomped on the ground, sharp swords appearing around her, another one of the upgrades she had acquired.

"Don't worry, they'll be back." Pitch grinned, looking at Hiccup. "By then, we'll have our perfect plan executed."

Hiccup prayed silently. Good luck guys, recover your energy, stay safe for the time being, find all the help you can get. Strategise well, don't rush or it'll backfire. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine...
