Chapter 26

Third Person POV

Toothless nearly fell into the water when everyone arrived. They looked at the place in awe.

"Everyone, welcome to the crystal cave." Cleo said with a smile.

"This is only part of it, there's lots more to explore!" Ethan added.

"So, what are we supposed to do?" Elsa asked.

"Here comes the hard part." Isabelle sighed. "There's millions of crystals in this cave. Only you, and you yourself will know which crystal can restore your powers."

"Basically, your sixth sense will guide you throughout the cave. Once you see the crystal that's yours, touch it until the colour of that crystal flashes. With each flash, it'll restore your magic." Darrel continued.

"And what happens when we touch the wrong crystal?" Tooth asked.

"It won't flash. That's it." Aidan replied.

"You said that this is only a part of the cave, how exactly big is this place?" Eugene asked.

"Huge." Cleo replied.

"We could spend hours here just looking for the right one!" Rapunzel exclaimed.

"Which is exactly why you should get started immediately!" Merida said.

"Oh man... How will I ever know..." Jack muttered.

Everyone was so distracted that they hadn't noticed Bunny had changed into a small bunny, how he looked like when the children didn't believe in him. Bunny himself didn't notice him shrinking until he wondered why did everyone suddenly look bigger.

"AHHHHHH!" Bunny let out a yell when he saw the new him.

"Oh dear..." North said.

"I'm done for it, mate!" Bunny hopped around frantically. "Quick, which way to the correct crystal?!"

"I told you, we can't help you in this." Ethan shook his head.

"Come on, let's not waste time. I'm going this way." Elsa let out a sigh and began walking. Many of them followed her, leaving Sandy, Darrel and Merida.

"How about we find the colour that suits you best?" Merida suggested to Sandy. "Your powers are gold in colour, is there a gold colour crystal?"

"It's worth a try." Darrel nodded. "For some people, the colour technique works. But for others, the colour is completely unrelated."

The rest found a few different paths. Everyone went their separate ways, depending on their intuition.

Elsa's POV

More streaks of brown were on my hair, that's not a good sign. I quickened my pace, even though I didn't know where I was going. It's like there was this invisible compass, guiding me.

"Hey, Elsa, wait up!" I turned around and saw Jack. Boy am I glad to have some company.

"Do you have any ideas?" I asked Jack, trying not to go nuts when he came closer.

"Nope." Jack made a silly smile. "Hey, listen, I just wanna thank you again and I have to say you are amazing with that ice! Guaranteed, I could never have done that!"

I could feel my cheeks heating up. Don't blush, don't blush! I told myself. "You could too, if you try." I blurted out. "You're not too bad yourself."

My hand accidentally brushed past Jack's hand and he held it tight. We looked into each other's eyes and smiled.

"Shall we?"  Jack asked me and I nodded. We continued walking, arm in arm.

Rapunzel's POV

I passed by so many crystals but how in the world am I supposed to know which is the right one? Some crystals looked the same, some looked entirely different. Some glowed brighter than the rest, some were bigger than the rest.

Aidan, Eugene and I walked through a dark part of the cave where there were no crystals and we made a right turn. "Wait," Eugene stopped in his tracks. "Look!"

"All right! Hopefully we have more luck in this part of the crystal cave." I said excitedly. "Wait, should we call the rest too? What if their crystals are here?"

"Olaf! North!" Eugene called out, his voice echoing everywhere.

"Don't worry, they'll eventually come here if this is the right place." Aidan comforted us.

I tried to climb the walls of the cave since there were some crystals above. My idea was I will know it when I see it, so I had to get a closer look.

"This orange one looks nice." Eugene went over to touch an orange crystal but it didn't flash. "Well, I was hoping for beginner's luck."

Suddenly, it's like there was a voice in my head, a voice that was telling me where to go. Everything around me went quiet, I focused solely on the voice in my head. I followed the voice that told me where to go, leaving Eugene and Aidan.

And then a crystal caught my eye. An emerald green crystal. Somehow, it was calling to me. My eyes were glued to it. I walked closer to it, slowly putting my hand on it. The crystal flashed and I let out a scream.

"Rapunzel!" Aidan and Eugene ran to me.

"I got it! I got the right crystal! It's flashing!" I yelled in excitement, I couldn't believe I found it. Am I dreaming? Is this true? It all seemed a bit too easy. Or maybe I was so happened to be lucky to be in the right place.

With each flash, the crystal became brighter, the light escaped from the crystal and swirled around my body. I had no idea what was going on and I was too afraid to let go of the crystal, instead, I placed both my hands on it, hugging it tight.

With each flash, I oddly felt myself being pieced together. It's like I lost something and now it's coming back, putting back the broken pieces. My healing magic was being restored.

The swirls and flashing soon stopped, returned to the crystal and I felt whole.

"I... Is that it?" I finally asked. "Is that all I need to do?"

"Yes." Aidan nodded, smiling. "Congratulations!"

Eugene gave me a tight hug. "That was amazing, your sixth sense is on point!"

Something trickled down Eugene's body, blood. His wound was getting worse! He let out another scream of pain.

"Aidan, if I use my magic on Eugene right now, will it have any effect?" I asked, pointing to Eugene's blood.

"Well, yes, but it won't last forever unless Eugene is able to find his crystal that will sustain the magic in him." Aidan explained.

"Then there's no time to lose." I got Eugene to lie down and got to work. Ever since my tear healed Eugene back in the tower, I realised that I didn't need to sing to heal him.

I took a deep breath, closed my eyes and put my hands closer to Eugene's wound. I concentrated on my healing powers, a spark came out of my hands and travelled to Eugene's wound. His bleeding stopped soon enough.

"Hurry, we need to find yours before it's too late." I said, helping him up.

North's POV

I feel like I have no energy at all to walk. With each step, I felt heavier, I felt weak. It reminds me when I was not believed in. Bunny was hopping all over the cave walls. As for Tooth, well, all of us were shocked to see her change.

At first, some of her feathers were falling. Then, she transformed completely. Instead of feathers, she wore a dress that matched her feather colours, even a pair of matching shoes! The feathers on her head turned into hair that matched the colour as well. She became completely human, no longer a half hummingbird. None of us freaked out more than her.

"I like you hair." Cleo complimented. "Sorry, I know this isn't the right time."

And exactly how is this helping? I wanted to ask but suddenly I felt something strange. I felt I was being pulled to something. I abandoned the rest and walked as fast as possible. I led myself to a silver white crystal. My eyes widen when I looked at it. The crystal seemed to be calling to me.

Without hesitation, I put my palm on the crystal. I was hoping it would flash and it did, it caught me by surprise that I fell down.

"Congrats, North!" Cleo said, coming with the rest.

With each flash, I felt more alive, more energetic, more powerful. So, this is what it feels like? Everyone stared at the crystal flashing in silence.

Finally the crystal stopped, I took a moment to let go of it. "Is... That it? Are my powers restored?" I asked.

"Yes!" Cleo said excitedly.

"All right, come on we still need to find ours." Bunny hopped up to Tooth's shoulder.

A figure approached us and startled all of us. I was ready to take out my sword.

"Hey guys!" It was Kristoff.

"Kristoff!" Tooth said, letting out a sigh of relief.

"Hey, have you seen Anna and Olaf? I kinda lost them. I wandered off too far." Kristoff asked.

"Nope." Bunny shook his head.

"Woah... Is that you, Tooth?" Kristoff asked again.

"Yes. I know, it's shocking." Tooth nodded.

"Oh well, can I help you guys?" Kristoff continued.

Anna's POV

"Kristoff! Kristoff?" Olaf called out, hie voice echoing everywhere. "Oh where could he be?!"

"Don't worry, let's just focus on finding your crystal." I calmed Olaf down.

"But I've tried and tried, I don't think there's a crystal that belongs to me!" Olaf said.

"Keep trying." I said calmly.

We walked in silence, passing by plenty of crystals but Olaf didn't intercept any of it. I do wonder how's Elsa right now. The last time I saw her, Jack was chasing after her. Oh I do wonder if Jack likes my sister as well! Maybe he got over his crush on Rapunzel and finally saw Elsa! Elsa's already head over heels for Jack.

"Anna. Anna? Anna!" Olaf voice broke my thoughts. "We have a problem."

I turned to Olaf and looked at him in horror. He was melting, like every part of him was melting, he melted like the first day he experienced summer.

"Oh my gosh, keep it together Olaf!"  I tried to think of a way to stop him from melting.

"Tell Elsa that I'm thankful for her letting me know what summer is like." Olaf said, his mouth slowly melting as well. "I love you guys!"

"Olaf!" I touched him but water was dripping out.

Olaf's wooden arms detached from him as well as his carrot nose. "It has been a great adventure..." He said. We looked at each other, not knowing what to do. Olaf melted completely. Almost instantly, his body of snow became water.

"O... Olaf..." I tried to hold back my tears. "OLAF!" I screamed, holding what's left of him tight.

"Anna!" I turned and saw Merida and Ethan. "You all right? What happened?"

"Olaf... He... Melted... He's gone! We were too late to restore the magic in him!" I said, crying.

"Shh, it's all right. It's all right, we'll get him back somehow." Merida comforted me.

"What's this?" Ethan crouched down to the puddle of water Olaf melted into. There was a flower there. I had completely forgotten about it. It was the one that he picked back at the gateway. The flower that he put into his body of snow.

"Hey, this looks the same like mine!" Merida showed me a flower on her hand. Like Olaf's, the flower sparkled like diamonds and the petals were like gemstones.

Merida suddenly gasped, it's like a bolt of lightning struck her. Ethan and I looked at her questionably.

"Remember the riddle? That we need a part of nature to symbolise the gateway's magical abilities?" Merida asked in excitement. "Look, these two flowers are doing just fine even though we plucked them, they should have wilted by now but they haven't!"

Then it struck me as well. Some of us already have the items we need to complete the riddle, we just didn't realise it. We're one step closer to finishing it then! I felt happier now and managed to stop my tears.

"Merida, you're a genius!" I gave her a hug.

"I bet the others have something useful as well." Merida smiled. "Looks like we didn't have to find that many things after all."

"Woo hoo! This is great news." Ethan cheered.

Don't worry Olaf, your contribution will not be left unacknowledged, we'll get you back, somehow...

Jack's POV

Elsa and I haven't found our crystals yet, but thankfully we had a lot to talk about along the way. We have a lot in common. This smile won't disappear from my face when I look at Elsa. I complimented her so many times that I lost count.

As much as I liked spending time  with Elsa, we were dreadfully running out of time. I looked exactly like how I looked like 300 years ago. My hair was completely brown, even my eyes! Elsa's platinum blond hair changed into brown colour as well. She still looks beautiful either way. Oh snap out of it Jack!

Along the way, Isabelle joined us. It's good to have more company. She became our guide, leading us to different sections of the cave. With the who knows how many crystals here, how can I find mine? I kept asking.

"Left or right?" I asked when we reached two tunnels.

"Right, it's the right way to go." Elsa grinned.

"Oh, this part of the cave is my favourite!" Isabelle said after taking a look first, she was in front of us.

Elsa and I then proceeded to join Isabelle. "Oh wow!" I blurted out.

Suddenly, I felt strange. It's like this part of the cave was calling towards me. I stared at the blue crystals. This is it, I said to myself. This is the place. I don't know how I know it but I just know it.

Elsa and I looked at each other. Perhaps we both had the same idea? What a coincidence for both our crystals to be in the same place then.

"It's here somewhere... I can feel the energy." Elsa said softly.

"Good luck!" Isabelle said.

All the crystals in this section look the same, which one is the right one? The bigger one? The smaller one? The one that's brighter? I wondered.

The voice in my head became my guide. I blindly followed wherever my feet took me. Until I stopped at one crystal. It was practically calling to me. I slowly put my hand on it.

My eyes widen when it flashed. I was quite taken aback by this, I really wasn't expecting that to happen. "I got it!"  I yelled in excitement.

Blue coloured swirls came out from the tip of the crystal and surrounded me. I was lifted up in mid air, the swirls surrounding my body. I looked at my fringe, I saw that the brown changing to white again. Then my clothes, they have been restored. I was once again wearing the blue sweater. I felt alive and powerful, I pointed my staff and ice shot out of it.

"Woo hoo!" I cheered, being able to fly again as I did a test. The flashing of the crystal soon stopped and the swirls returned back to the crystal.

I looked at Isabelle who was smiling widely, giving me a thumbs up. I looked around for Elsa, I saw she had swirls all around her as well. All right, she found hers too!

Elsa's transformation couldn't have been any more beautiful. She looked gorgeous back in her icy blue dress. She was just mesmerising to look at.

The second Elsa's powers were restored, she sang at the top of her lungs, something I wasn't quite expecting.

"Let it go, let it go
Can't hold it back anymore
Let it go, let it go
Turn away and slam the door!

Let it go, let it go
I am one with the wind and sky
Let it go, let it go
You'll never see me cry!

Let it go, let it go
And I'll rise like the break of dawn
Let it go, let it go
That perfect girl is gone!"

While she was singing, she let all of her powers out, it was a beautiful display. The cave walls were all blue now. I stared at Elsa in awe.

Oh my god she is the perfect girl for me!

Elsa sang beautifully, she used her ice powers beautifully, I couldn't stop myself and I went to give her a tight hug straight away. Well I guess it was awkward and embarrassing for me since Isabelle was here seeing this.

"You look beautiful." I said, pulling away from Elsa.

"Elsa, that was amazing!" Isabelle said. "You sang lovely too!"

"Thanks, it's great to be myself again." Elsa smiled.
