Third Person POV

Everyone stared at the forest in awe. It was nothing like they ever seen before. There were plenty of trees, glowing mushrooms, radiant coloured leaves, the place was much more than it seemed. It was unlike any other ordinary forest. It's as if they had walked into a magical forest. There weren't enough words in the world to describe what they were seeing.

"This looks even more majestic then the gateway!" Anna exclaimed.

"It's beautiful..." Rapunzel trailed off.

"Such colours..." Tooth looked around.

At the centre there was a large book. But it was blank.

"There's no words on this thing!" Jack said, flipping the pages.

Elsa got closer to the book and touched it. "Hello, wise ones? We've come for your help." She said out loud.

A light shot out of the book that startled both Jack and Elsa. They quickly backed away from the book as it glowed brighter.

"What did you do?"  Merida asked in panic.

"I just asked a question!" Elsa replied.

Something in purple was forming in front of them. Jack got his staff ready, just in case of any emergency.

"We've come to seek your wisdom!" Rapunzel said. "Please help us."

The purple colour spread. The forest was lit even brighter and it sparkled.

"Welcome..."  A voice echoed. No one could determine where the voice came from.

"Uh... Thanks? Who are you? Are you Disney and DreamWorks?" Eugene asked.

"Yes, we are." The voice replied.

"Then, you can help us find our way home, right?" Tooth asked.

"Hey, I'm Fiona." A female voice echoed this time. "And I'm Eric." Followed by a male voice. Soon, the whole forest was filled with plenty of different voices, it was the whole package of Disney and DreamWorks. Each voice was coming from the different colours of the forest. They glowed brighter when a voice spoke.

"So, you're looking for a way home..." Peter Pan said.

"Yes, yes we are! Please, what must we do?" Elsa asked.

"That, Disney and DreamWorks, shall tell you. Everyone's different so the items they must assemble is also different." Aurora replied.

"We need to assemble stuff?" Olaf asked but none answered his question.

"Step forward to the book. Then, you shall know what you need." Ariel continued.

And so the fourteen did so. When they did, the logo of Disney and DreamWorks appeared on the empty pages of the large book. Words began forming after that.

Welcome all! We are Disney and DreamWorks, or some might refer to us as the wise ones. We know that you are trying to find your way back to your respective worlds. In this forest, the voices you hear are those who have passed through the gateway from their own worlds and ended up here.

Be aware that getting back home is no easy task, as you will face challenges along the way. You will be needing to gather a list of specific items to form the key that will lead you home. You will also be required to carry out specific tasks. You need to solve this:

Spring, summer, autumn, winter,
Find one who symbolises each season,
This is not just a simple matter,
For you require a part of nature as well, not just a person.

The gateway that has led you here,
You'll need an item to represent its magical abilities,
If you are to use a part of nature,
It can't share the representative's main properties.

Your home symbolised with an object, 
Where you come from, who you are,
A particular object to reflect,
And they must be taken with care.

The Nightmares who rule this place,
Are the enemies from your past,
Danger is what you shall face,
Confront them, for they serve as a test.

Pass the test,
And you'll finish your quest.

And that's where the words stopped. "So... We have to solve this riddle?"  North broke the silence.

"Confront them in what way?" Eugene added.

"We just need to bring them to justice, right?" Bunny asked.

"Can you tell us an answer?!" Anna slammed her hand on the book. "You can't just give us this riddle and expect us to know what to do! Like, once we have the objects and pass the test, what do we have to do?! Is home just gonna appear out of nowhere in front of us?!"

"Anyone else know? You guys gave been through this, what did you do?" Merida turned to the voices.

"When you have everything you need, a portal will be formed, it'll lead you to two large diamonds. One of them has the Disney logo and the other has DreamWorks. Touch the correct one and it'll lead you home." Was the reply.

"And how will we know which is the right one?" Kristoff demanded.

The book flipped to another page.

Disney:
Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, Eugene, Rapunzel, Merida.

DreamWorks:
Jack, North, Tooth, Bunny, Sandy, Hiccup, Toothless.

"What determines all this? Whether I'm Disney or DreamWorks?" Olaf asked.

"It's hard to explain... Basically, you were destined to it." 

"Well, we better get going. We have a lot to do." Rapunzel said.

"Couldn't agree more." Jack nodded.

Suddenly, Elsa, Olaf, Jack, Bunny, Tooth, North, Sandy, Eugene and Toothless collapsed for no reason. Some were screaming in pain. Anna, Kristoff, Merida, Hiccup and Rapunzel looked at each other in panic and confusion.

For Elsa and Jack, their hair colour was turning into brown, they were screaming in pain, mostly Jack. Olaf looked at himself in horror as he was oddly melting. Bunny and North fainted, Tooth felt around for a sharp pain in her back. As for Sandy, part of him was disappearing. It's like he was disintegrating. Eugene and Toothless were yelling in pain, Eugene was wrapping his hands around his stomach.

"What's going on with them?!" Anna screamed, not knowing who to help or even how to help.

"What's happening?!" Kristoff asked.

"Why are they all reacting like this?!" Merida asked.

"And why are we not affected?!" Hiccup asked.

"This has happened once, why is it happening again?!" Rapunzel asked.

It lasted for a few minutes and all of them stopped at the same time. Everyone was breathing heavily, confused.

"What... Was... That...?" Jack asked.

"You see, this place, Alternia, magic does not exist. Anything illogical does not exist here. And what just happened was reality catching up on you. Anything that can't be explain through science, through logic, will fade away, it will eventually disappear."

"But Toothless is just a dragon! He's not magic!" Hiccup cut in.

"Are you telling us that we're gonna disappear?!" Elsa asked.

"No, just whatever that isn't logical about you will disappear. In this case, your magic, your powers. For Olaf, the magic you used to create him is going away."

"I don't wanna melt!" Olaf said. "I love summer too much!" 

" For Toothless, dragons don't exist here, that's why. But for rather, special cases like Jack, Tooth, North, Bunny and Sandy, there is no such thing as immorality here."

"You mean... We'll age?" North asked.

"Yes, you'll age, the centuries you lived will catch up on you, until you... Die. Because you have lived for hundreds of years as Guardians. Jack, reality is changing you back to before you became Jack Frost, before you became immortal, that's why your hair is changing. Tooth, unfortunately, fairies do not exist. Your pain is coming from your wings disappearing. Also, there's no such thing like you, half human, half hummingbird. Bunny, there is just no such rabbit like you. Sandy, you are not logical to them, with a body of magic sand. North, there is nothing illogical about you other that the fact you've lived for hundreds of years."

"But I too have magic, why am I not affected? I have the power to heal. And, what about Eugene?" Rapunzel asked.

"Yes, your powers will disappear as well. But you won't be able to feel it. Originally, you had golden hair, but it has already been cut so there is nothing left that your powers can change you. If you still had your golden hair, it would change to brown, your original hair colour, like Jack and Elsa and you too will experience all that. For Eugene, he got stabbed and you healed him. The healing magic in his wound is fading, he too will eventually... Die."

"What is it with everyone dying?! What do you mean, Elsa's original hair colour? She was born with this hair colour!" Anna exclaimed.

"Anna, mom and dad explained to me, if I had not been born with ice powers, my hair would be the exact same colour as mom. My magic had influenced how I looked. It all starts to make sense now..." Elsa replied.

"Then, what are we gonna do?! We can't just stand here doing nothing and wait for death to claim us!" Eugene asked.

A light shone on Hiccup. "What?"  He asked.

"You have acquired a book back then, that book is your solution to all this."

"But I couldn't open it!" Hiccup said as he went to Toothless to grab the book. "It was stuck fast."

"Not anymore..." The book glowed which made Hiccup drop it instantly. Toothless stepped back from it. Coloured spirals traveled from the shades of colours of the forest to the book, infusing it with magic.

"It is finished. You can now open the book, but only when it's activated... In the library."

"The library in the high school?" Rapunzel guessed.

"Even opening a book can be this much trouble." Jack crossed his arms.

"Now go, there is much to be done."

"Thank you." Merida said, leading the group out of the forest.
