Written for the 2024 " Bloody Challenge" drabble contest with @Vampire. The prompt is as follows:

It was not an easy challenge (for me, anyway) trying to make something flow coherently within such strict boundaries. But I tried, that's the main thing.

It was fun to enter, definitely outwith my comfort zone but regardless, here was my effort:-

I, Adrianna of the Nightshade Coven, do solemnly swear to

Honour the Lord of Darkness with these seven firstborns from

My province, as both a gift and a promise for

Eternal Life. They shall walk under the cover of night

Drink of The Carpenter's children, and bring them into

The Sanctum of the one true Lord, Prince of Darkness,

Taker and Giver of Life, and My Lord and Master.

I ask that my offering be deemed worthy of His

Great Plan. Accept my gift as a token of my devotion

That we may become Legion in the Baptism of Blood.
