Quattro [4]

I needed to talk to Danny and ask him all the questions that were starting to form in my head. I didn't want anything to do with him but now I'm curious about what happened that night.

Not to mention why was he suddenly everywhere I was?

Cyan and Amy left an hour ago and James was downstairs explaining earliers events to my parents. Well at least I think he is.

Tyler was keeping me company in my bedroom and we were playing Never Have I Ever. Instead of alcohol we are using Apple juice, which I think is far better.

"Never have I ever hit a teacher." I start. Tyler doesn't even hesitate before picking up the juice box and taking a long sip.

"Ty, you hit a teacher?!" I gasp loudly. "Yup, Mr Fisher. The old fart was asking for it." My brother shrugged like it was no big deal.

I took a deep breath and held myself back from calling child services.

"Okay my turn. Never have I ever eaten a vegetable." Tyler stated proudly. I didn't drink and we fist bumped.

"Wait so where do you leave the brussel sprouts that mom always puts on our plates?" I ask, grimacing at the very thought of the evil green veggie. "I just hide it in the small potted plant next to the table." Tyler explained.

"Is that why the dining room has such a bad smell lately?"

"Oops."

"You could have just slipped it into a tissue and throw it away after like I do." I said. "Yeah but thats so unoriginal, don't you think?" He replied with a yawn.

He does have a point there.

"Never have I ever caught or heard mom and dad doing anything naughty." I fake gagged. Tyler hesitated before taking a sip of his apple juice. "Eeew, no wonder you know so much about stuff!" I shrieked.

"You think I LIKE hearing those unholy sounds?! Whenever you and James are both gone out and they think I'm asleep, they get loud Claire! Loud!"

I make a disgusted face.

"Which is five times a week." He adds with a sad sniffle. "Okay, okay enough." I wheeze for air, clearly shocked that my seven year old brother has to hear these things.

Don't get me wrong, my parents are the best but when it comes to certain things...they can be really idiotic.

Suddenly my door flew open and James came waltzing in like he owned the place.

I gave him a glare.

"I could have been naked you know." I huffed, crossing my arms. He raised his eyebrow suspiciously. "I meant changing." I correct myself quickly.

He let out a soft chuckle.

"Well I just saved your ass from mom and dad, told them some bullshit story about how Chad stole your Mcnuggets and that's why you beat the crap outta him. I'm expecting a fucking thank you because they believed it." James smirked.

I blocked Tyler's ears.

"There's a child in the room! Watch your profanity!" I scolded. "Yeah I know, she's sitting right in front of me." My big brother retorted as he flung himself on my bed and closed his eyes.

"YOU'RE CRUSHING CHIMMY!" I screamed, using all my strength to push James off my plushie and almost making him tumble off the bed.

"You have a weird obsession with these things." James said, looking at me weirdly as he dangled my Cooky plushie in the air.

"Oh and by the way, the only reason you had to save my booty from mom and dad in the first place is because you forgot to clean up the blood on the front lawn!"

"What do you mean I forgot? You were the one that broke his fucking face!" My big brother defended himself.

"Language!" I yelled again.

"Claire, my dear sister, I think you need a reality check. Curse words are just words that people have put a bad meaning behind. They only mean what they want to mean, and their meaning can change. Ass used to be what people called donkeys, and now it's a curse word. Any word could become a curse word in the future if people start using it as an insult. So why don't you watch YOUR language?" Tyler announced, opening another juice box calmly.

James started howling with laughter at my bewildered expression.

"Sometimes I wish I was an only child." I mumble, snatching Cooky out of my brother's hands and placing him neatly on my bookshelf.

"Nah you love us, don't lie." Tyler grinned as he and James started wiping their fake tears. I held back a smile when they both walked up to me and pulled me into a tight hug.

James was sorta hugging my shoulders whilst Tyler could barely reach my waist but it was sweet either way.

"We never speak of this to anyone." Tyler whispered when we broke away. "Agreed." James and I said at the same time.

A sudden flash of light made all of us jump.

"Aww my babies, you three looked so cute hugging eachother!" My mom squealed, putting the camera down. My siblings and I looked at her in absolute horror.

"I say this should be our Christmas card, don't you think honey?" My dad suggested, turning to my mother. "Even better, we'll frame it and hang it on the wall so that our visitors can see it whenever they stop by!"

"The Lockwood bridge isn't far from here, I say we jump and end this cruel life." I muttered lowly. "I'll drive." James responded as Tyler nodded eagerly.

"Ah yes Claire, sweetheart take a seat. We have a lot to discuss." My mom spoke firmly. "A-About what?" I gulped. "Oh I don't know, a chicken nugget perhaps?" My dad piped up.

My shoulders sagged.

My brothers gave me a salute before skipping out my bedroom. Yeah, should've been an only child.

"It's called a Mcnugget dad but alright, I'm ready for the lectures." I sighed as they both sat on my bed on opposite sides of me.

"THERE WAS BLOOD CLAIRE, BLOOD ON OUR FRONT PORCH!"

"YOU ALMOST KILLED A BOY JUST CAUSE HE ATE YOUR MCNUGGETS?!"

I'm sure they only believed me because it was actually something I would do. I'm just grateful they didn't know the truth.

Claire's POV

After mom and dad left I felt exhausted.

It was like they were deliberately trying to mess up my brain with all their scoldings and life lessons.

It was currently 12:30am and I could practically feel my eyelids drooping. Just as I was about turn my lamp off, I heard a knock on the window.

"The lord is really testing me today." I groaned, heaving my body off the bed.

Me, as the curious and stupid human that I am, opened the window, only to see Danny holding onto a large tree branch and balancing quite well despite his large figure. I gawked as he jumped in and dusted himself off.

"Nice room princess." He deadpanned.

My room had a lavender glow since it was my favourite colour. It had BTS everywhere with some other kpop bands like Stray Kids on the side, along with a few anime posters. The most embarrassing part was all my teddybears lying all over my room.

"What the fluff are you doing here at the buttcrack of dawn, Danny?" I fumbled with my words. "I came to talk, answer all your questions and this time you can't hang up on me." He explained, lying down on my bed comfortably.

Wow this boy can read my mind.

"But first lock your door." He mumbled, closing his eyes. I did what I was told because I'm an obident little troll and locked the door.

Or maybe I'm just an idiot.

Yeah probably the second.

I sat on the edge of my bed awkwardly. In a blink of an eye Danny grabbed my arm and yanked me down on the bed so that I was laying next to him, before he turned and faced me.

I froze in shock.

"You're pretty cute yknow-" He began, practically analyzing my features.

I blushed out of reflex.

"-for a psycho idiot that gets herself involved in way too much drama."

I huffed and thought about pushing him off the bed. There was something about Danny that I couldn't resist, so pushing him off the bed may or may not be a problem.

I'm just thinking about it girl, I ain't gon do it.....

He suddenly flicked my forhead causing me to flinch. "Surprised you haven't yelled for help yet, technically I'm an intruder. Unless you're in love with this intruder, hm?" Danny mocked, flicking my forhead again.

He suddenly let out a curse as his body went sliding off the bed with him desperately grabbing onto the sheets to avoid completely falling.

I did it.

"Are you going to tell me about that night or not?" I rolled my eyes, watching him pull himself back into a comfortable position. "You're the one that hung up last time I tried to tell you, what makes you think I will this time?" He stated with a smug expression.

"Get over it, it happened millions of years ago-"

"You mean yesterday-"

"-and you're the one that said you were gonna answer all my questions. No take backsies!" I whined.

"I swear it's like talking to an infant." Danny muttered under his breath. "It's one of my many talents, infant roleplaying." I flicked my hair dramatically.

"It's called ageplay and it's actually a very popular kink, I wouldn't mention it so casually if I were you. Unless you're looking for a daddy?" He smirked. "I already have a dad, why would I want another?" I frowned.

Danny facepalmed.

"Nothing happened that night at my house." He cleared his throat, as he started explaining everything that happened.

"Oh....thank you? I'm not sure if I fully believe you but I'll take your word for it anyway." I said with a  small smile. He technically saved my life, who knows what that dimwit at the party could have done.

"Can I ask you something?" He asked after a few moments of silence. I nodded nervously.

"Do you teen girls have some sort of obsession with boybands? And what's with those Chinese boys over there? Are they gay or something?"

He didn't just......

I hovered over Danny and started punching his chest as hard as I could. He gripped onto both my hands and groaned, shooting me a "wtf" look.

"Say that again I dare you." I drawled lowly. Danny shook his head quickly, looking up at me with most likely fear in his eyes because when someone insults my babies, I get hella scary.

"Scary? Oh please, you look like an angry chipmunk." He let out a snort. I really need learn to stop saying things out loud unintentionally.

I glanced down at him from where I was, seated on his waist with him below me, looking up in amusement. If anyone walked in my room right now, this position could look very suspicious.

I squirmed under his gaze, trying to move off but his hands were still holding onto my wrists harshly.

"Don't start something you're not gonna be able to finish."

I was confused for a second but then gasped when I realized I was wiggling to much, causing a little friction down there for Danny.

"Sorry." I breathed, stop myself from making any sudden moves.

The air in the room gradually got heavier.

I tugged on my hands, trying to remove them from his strong grip. When Danny still refused to let go, I felt myself starting to shake and tears welled up in my eyes.

Luckily Danny could sense something was wrong and let go. He rolled my off and tried to calm me down but it was already getting bad.

The memories of Chad started coming back and my breathing got shallower by the second. My heartbeat was so loud I swear I could hear it ringing in my ears.

I was having a panic attack.

"Claire you need to breathe for me, keep your eyes on me princess and take a deep breath." I heard Danny whisper.

I pried my eyes open and saw him sitting a little away from me, probably to give me a little space but it was clear he was concerned. His eyes held worry, sadness and anger.

I inhaled sharply, forcing myself to get distracted so that the panic attack would subside. Danny inched a little closer and held my hand gently.

"You alright?" He asked when I finally calmed down.

I couldn't speak so I just nodded.

"Don't worry Claire, that piece of shit will get what he deserves." Danny growled. I chose not to question it and rubbed my eyes in exhaustion.

"Go to sleep, we'll talk more tomorrow." He said softly.

I never expected Danny to have a caring side but it seemed like he did, well it was probably rare anyway. Still, I enjoyed it while I could.

I yawned and closed my eyes, snuggling into my pillow as I felt the comforter being draped over me.

"Goodnight princess." Danny whispered, kissing my forehead gently.

I felt myself fall into a peaceful slumber.
