I was in the comic book store as usual. Laying on the carpeted floor. This ladies and gentlemen is how I spend my Saturday. 'Naturally'. I pulled out my phone to check if James had texted.

James=J
Olivia=O

J-I'll be there in 5 then I'll drop you off at home.

O- What?! are you not gonna be home tonight. Again. It's like the the 4th night this week

J-No I got to go out. And it only been three nights you can handle it. We've been by ourselves since you were thirteen. Anyway the hush money from mom and dad are coming in tonight you need to be home.

O- Still can't believe  they left us and expect us to not tell nobody.

J- hey it works we at least can live by ourselves and support ourselves

O- also you got a job anyway

O-why can't you skip it 

J-you know I would  if i  could.

O- But I'm 15 today you have to be here 😭

J- Ik Olive but the guys are throwing me a party for my 17th. I can't miss that i would invite you but I don't want you around my friends.

O- fine but you owe me big time.

J-fine.

Ugg seriously. James was the only person I had to celebrate our birthday. We're not twins. Actually  he was born 2 years before me.

Our mom and dad left us 3 years ago to 'be free'  they never wanted kids they were going to leave us in the middle of the night and leave the country James woke up when they were about to leave  with everything so James made a deal because  he knew our parents were not even capable  of taking care of us anyway so he threatened them to give us a weekly living allowance they agreed ever since they got extremely good playing jobs basicly rich and the allowance has gotten better. Were good without them, I have my brother. 

Well do until he drops me home and goes with his friend

Now it's just me and my comics. Why can't I live in them. They would be my friend.

I walked out of the comic book store after buying $80 worth of comics. Dont judge me.

All I wanna do I scroll thru my insta feed to distract myself from having the worst day ever.  

'Ow.' i grunted after bumping into a wall 

ok Olivia you need to watch wear your going stop looking at your phone

"Stupid wall." I heard a deep laughter. Wait walls don't laugh. 

'Look up Olivia duh' I looked up to see this gorgeous guy his jawline looks like it could grate cheese. I've been blessed  with the sights of him. I  literally couldn't take my eyes off him i honestly thought i was drooling. 

"I'm not a wall but thanks.". I snapped out of my trance oh my god his voice is so sexy his girlfriend is lucky. 

"You dropped something." He went down on his knees to pick up my comics. I didn't even realize i dropped them. I quickly got on my knees to help him with my comics. After getting up and smiling . I honestly didn't know what to say.

"My names Damon." He held out his hand. I looked at it like it was an alien what do i do.

"The polite thing to do is shake it." 

"Im Olivia." I shook his hand smiling it kinda eased my tension and i relaxed a bit

"I like you." He said quirkily. That was fast

"I like you too."

"Wanna be friends?" Hey never heard that before.

"Sure" This hopefully doesn't blow up in my face.

A Month Later

"Olivia wake up!" James yelled shaking me.

"No let me sleep." He chuckled. I am a really deep sleeper dont get in between me and my sleep. 

"Sleep later." He pulled the sheets off me and pulled me off the bed

"Nooo!" I said walking semi asleep. Ok so I'm not going to do anything about him ruining my sleep but he's my brother.

"Come on we're going to go to IHOP." That got me off the ground and awake in no time. I got dress and met James in his car.

"Hay Olive?"

"Yeah Jay."

"Who was that guy you started talking to. And don't deny it, I've  seen the notifications on your phone and how its always buzzing."

"Oh that's Damon. He's my new friend." After i said that I saw James fist clenched around the steering wheel he's probably just stressed or something. 

"I don't like him. You can't see him anymore."

"Um first you can't tell me who I can and can't see. Second he's just a friend you can't make me not talk to him."

"Olivia i'm just saying this for your own good you shouldn't be seeing him he'll get you in some shit." I just scoffed. I'll do whatever the hell I want to. Anyway how does he even know he doesn't know him. 

 Speak of the devil. My phone started ringing 'fools' by Troye Sivan I smiled and I guess James noticed. James looked at me with an annoyed expression and looked straight at the road.

"Is that him?" I ignored him and texted  Damon.

Damon-D
D-hay you busy today???

O- rn I'm with my bro but later I have nothing. What's up. 

D-wanna go roller skating with me?

O-I can't skate. 

D-I'll teach you. 

O-☺️ ok 

D-I'll pick you up at 6 

O-is this a date. 

D- if you want it to be angel 😁

O-Goddddd your making me blush stttopppp. Anyway I'll text you later.

"Olivia!" I jumped at James yelling my name

"What!" I yelled back.

"Did you hear what I even said?" I shook my head no.

"What did he text you for?"

"Um.." I didn't wanna tell him he already gave me a bad vibe that he hated Damon.

"Did he text you for something important or..." I cut him off

"He asked me to go roller skating..."

"What! Your not going." Well now I definitely  know he hates him.

"Yes I am, I already told him."

"Cancel it then."

"No."

"Olivia your getting on my nerves. Im telling you cancel the date. Now!"

"And I said no. You can't control me. So I'm going out with Damon! And your not gonna stop me!" We both took deep breaths that were audible.

"Olive im sorry. It's just I want you to be safe. And he doesn't give me a good vibes. And your my sister you know I have to be protective"

"I understand James but I'm going to go on dates with people you have to learn to deal with it ok ."

"What if he wants to be more than friends with you?"

"I mean...I don't know i wouldn't have a problem with it I guess."

"But what if I have a problem with it." I just shrugged.

"Can we just drop this. Please."

"Fine."

Time Skip
Knock. Knock.Knock

"I'll get it!" James yelled.

"If it's him don't kill him!" I said applying my last bit of makeup and ran down stairs to see  James glaring at Damon and Damon looking confused but also threatened.

 I cleared my throat. They both looked over in my direction. 

"I want her back by 10." I James said to Damon. Damon nodded.  We walked over to his car. 

"Hay."Damon said breaking the silence before we got in the car.

"Hay."I smiled

"You look really pretty."

"Thanks." I blushed.

"I Honestly think we could be good friends you know be major parts of each other's lives." I nodded. I don't know what made him say it but I was happy he at least said it. 

"I hope so. Because right now meeting you has been a pretty great way to cure my boredom. "we laughed and got in the the car.

after car ride

"I had fun." I said with a smile on my face in front of my door.

"Me too." Damon said mirroring my expression.

"I'll see you in school?" I asked. After the month of talking to Damon I found out him his family and some friends moved from Texas to Cali.

"Yeah  I'll look for you." My brother came out of the house glaring at Damon telling me to come inside.

"I'll see you tomorrow then Damon. Night." 

"Night Angle." I blush covered my entire face. I walked inside. Ignoring my brothers eyes.

"He's gonna hurt you Olive." James said as I walked up the stairs.

"I won't let him Jay." He just muttered then his phone rang. He went outside to pick it up.

I got into my pajamas heading to bed. Thinking about this amazing night.
