Chapter 3: Expelled?
After a couple of years in this 'game' of his Yomei found it to be quite boring. Sure he might have levelled up his stats a bit, made some new friends, but nothing fun was happening. And if nothing fun was happening Yomei didn't want to be there. In fact, during the past five years that he was wandering around Konoha he nearly decided to go rouge!
But alas, his feeble mind was to resilient to even bother with it. He knew things were about to spice up in Konoha with the Chunin exams and all. After all he was counting the days down until he could show off his new skills to everyone. He always knew he was going to be smart, if you know everything about Naruto then how can't you?
He was considered a prodigy, amongst the best of the best. He got a pat on the back at the end of every class, each teacher enjoying his wit and valour. Every student in his class enjoyed his wild wind stories of beyond. He made a reputation of being a story teller in the academy when he first came there. Marvel and DC didn't mind sharing their creations with him did they?
Needless to say he definitely grew up from the the boy who arrived in Konoha six years ago. He trained relentlessly since day one, finding new skills and using them in battle. And he made friends with Naruto after his epic monologue. Ah, sweet sweet memories.
Yomei stood in the shade at the side of the tree, silently watching all of his classmates play. Naruto was sitting down on his usual spot at the swing, looking down at the ground as forlornly as he did in the anime. Now don't get Yomei wrong, he did make friends with Naruto on his first day at the ninja academy, it was just that he told Naruto that he needed to think for awhile.
And he's been thinking for a while- a whole week to be exact. Want to know what's gotten Yomei so rattled up? He's been noticing the orphanage matrons looking on at him guiltily, almost as if they knew something that he didn't. And they shouldn't know more than him and that's what's gotten him so freaked out!
Yomei kicked the side of the tree trunk, watching on with his gamers eye as the tree started to tremble. When he said that he was training, he meant it. His levels were far more impressive now, matching up to the likes of Neji and Iruka. Yomei knew for a fact that if he challenged Iruka and Mizuki at the same time he would definitely win. He did have his charming skills at his side so finding a teacher wasn't that hard.
Yomei looked up in mild shock once he felt Iruka's chakra signal enter his field of vision. One of the pros of having levelled up previous skills was the fact that he now has the benefits of his Chunin like skills. He was definitely Chunin level now. Hopefully.
Iruka lightly trodded over to Yomei. From the corner of Yomei's eye he could see Naruto's head look up out of confusion and mild interest. It wasn't everyday you'd find Iruka wandering the academy grounds outside. He was more of an inside worker and if Jomei didn't know any better he would think that Iruka wanted to be a principal.
Iruka Umino, Orphan, Sensei
Lvl- 28
Age: 20
Allegiance- Konoha Ninja.
Preferred fighting style; Taijutsu.
REP: 50 (+25)
Class: (Low) Chunin
A teacher at the Ninja Academy in Konoha. He is very impressed by the progress of Yomei who he thinks should skip a few years but was turned down by the Hokage when he asked. He feels responsible for his students welfare.
Mood: Regretful
Immediate danger?: Yes
Yomei bristled at the 'immediate danger' part. Iruka was never an 'immediate danger' so why was he now? And why was his mood regretful? He hasn't spouted any insults to Naruto yet so it doesn't make sense how he's regretful already.
Iruka walked over to Yomei with a solemn face, slow and decisive steps with a coherent rythm. Yomei was concerned with Iruka's lack of skill in hiding his chakra signal, and his innate difficulty to mask his footsteps. The crunch of leaves was all Yomei heard as he focused on Iruka's faint frown lines.
Iruka stepped in front of Yomei and cleared his throat, glancing at Naruto out of the corner of his eye in a stern glare. Iruka opened his mouth to speak, his eyebrow furrowed downwards. "Yomei, I have received some pressing matters about your education here at the academy."
Iruka made a gesture towards the academy, signalling for Yomei to walk ahead of him. "We'll talk about it inside the academy." Yomei hoisted himself off the tree trunk and led the way back into the academy, sitting down on the window ledge and peering off outside.
Yomei smiled suddenly and sent Iruka a cheeky grin. "If you brought me in here to tell me how awesome I am you shouldn't have sensei. I already knew that." Iruka looked on at Yomei's joking face, not a trace of amusement on his own.
"This is a serious matter Yomei. I would be very grateful if you don't joke around at this moment." Iruka sent a stink eyed look to Yomei who looked down regretfully before bouncing back up and staring back into Iruka's eyes. "What's the matter then Iruka-sensei? I'm pretty sure I'm not failing any grades."
Of course he wasn't failing any grades, he was at the top in every single one of them. Hell, he could beat Iruka's ass if he wanted to- Iruka just hasn't given him a reason to yet. And right now Iruka was giving him a definite reason to do so.
Iruka looked off to the side, trying to avoid Yomei's demanding gaze. Jomei was used to the teachers telling him how brilliant he was, he just wasn't used to them dragging him inside the academy like some sort of rogue ninja.
Iruka cleared his throat, a slight wheeze coming out of his mouth. "Yomei, the orphanage doesn't have enough funds to support you going to the ninja academy. Many students in your year have parents willing to pay more and sadly enough the orphanage isn't one of them."
Yomei looked at Iruka in shock, the gamers mind doing nothing to stop his wild fantasies of becoming a rouge ninja and showing Iruka what he could do then. Iruka looked at Yomei's blank expression, not quite noticing the waves of disbelief rolling off him.
"You see Yomei, there are far too many ninja in this year and the teams will be an odd number- something that is prohibited to happen. And by the looks of things no one wants their children to drop out of school and start a more low key life as a civilian."

Y/N
Yomei tapped yes and scoffed at Iruka, his eyes drawn in a narrow glare. "So the orphan is going to be used as cannon fodder? How typical of Konoha. Every orphan is just a minor mantle piece that you praise on to justify the villages noble status of being oh-so kind. No wonder the villagers are still attacking Naruto- you guys don't bother your holes about it!"
Iruka looked at Yomei with a sad gaze, not agreeing or disagreeing with his statement. It was true that Konoha didn't care for their orphans that much- they were just an extra mouth to feed. And with the nine tails attack only happening a few years prior the orphanage count steadily got higher.
Yomei looked at Iruka with a disgusted gaze. It was true that the orphanage had a lack of funds. They had to pay for the increasing amount of orphans food, water, clothes and shelter. And on top of that they had their education to worry about. The ninja academy always cost a tad bit more to supply the children with kunai and scrolls. And there was also the fact that clans had a higher percentage rate of getting through the genin exams.
"The orphanage is not willing to pay a higher amount to get you a team for the genin exams. I'm sorry to let such a talented young ninja as yourself go Jomei but I'm afraid there's nothing I can do about it."
Yomei paled at this. He wanted to become the most powerful ninja that ever walked on these lands. More powerful than Madara, Hashirama, Naruto and even the Otsutsuki. And to fulfil his dreams he had to go to the ninja academy.
Yomei looked at Iruka with a defiant glare. He wasn't going to go down that easy, it's what he learned during his many years of training with Jounin's beforehand. He did tell you he had an amazing charm. He also had amazing bribery skills.
"Iruka-sensei, would it be acceptable if you asked the hokage to advance me to a year with lesser students, or an odd number of students? I would hate to let go of being a ninja after this many years of hard training."
Iruka shuffled his feet, thinking about the possibility of the Hokage advancing Yomei to a higher class. "I'm sorry Yomei, but I've already asked the hokage that question before. And the answer was a definite no."
Yomei truly was grasping at straws here. He widened eyes and a jutted out his bottom lip. "Please Iruka sensei. This is on more serious matters now. Just imaging losing such a prodigious student as me. Konoha would miss a vital piece on the shogi board!"
Yomei smirked at this. It was kinda low to use Iruka's words against him, but it was his best bet that he would still be accepted into the ninja academy programme. Iruka looked out the window in exasperation. Iruka knew that kicking Yomei out of the academy would be a dire decision in the future. Yomei could be one of Konoha greatest allies but he could also be their greatest enemy. Iruka doesn't think that Yomei will go rouge, but Itachi did and no one suspected Itachi to go and slaughter a whole clan.
"I can try to request this of the Hokage Yomei, but it's not certain whether or not he will allow you to skip classes without a reason. We aren't in a war anymore." Yomei's eye twitched at that. They would be soon and if they didn't let Yomei be a ninja it would probably end up with half of Konoha dying again.
"Yes Iruka-sensei but this is more of an important decision. This isn't the matter of whether or not I'm capable of moving to a higher class it's the matter that if I don't I'll get kicked out of the ninja academy!"
Iruka scratched his head at Yomei's outburst. Yomei jumped up with an angry pout on his face and his hands on his hips. "You can get a job as a civilian too Yomei, being a ninja isn't the only job out there."
"It's the only good paying job!"
"That's not true! A merchant is a good job too."
"And how on Earth is a lowly orphan meant to get a position like that. I bet the only thing I'll be good for is going to the red light district and working there!"
Iruka bonked Yomei on the head angrily, a fierce expression on his face. "Don't go around spitting out words like that Yomei! Your only a child- you shouldn't be speaking about such places like that!"
Yomei crossed his arms and stomped his foot on the ground, looking like the epitome of a five year old having a tantrum. "Well that's where I'll end up in the future if you can't get the Hokage to get me a ticket to a higher class."
Iruka looked away briefly, dragging a hand down his face with a sigh. There was a reason why Yomei was such a beloved student. He got everything he wanted with a charming smile and a cute pout. It seemed as if his charming skills are doing the job right.
<Skill level up>
Charmer<D:2> {lvl:59}
Well aren't you just the charmer. Charm women and men everywhere for a higher chance of information gaining. This can often be used as a persuasion tactic.
Success rate: 83%
It was true that it was hard to evade Yomei's charm, nearly the whole village knew that. Especially Iruka. "Alright Yomei, I'll go to the the Hokage and request for you to go to a higher class. Remember to not screw this up alright? I'll be damned if I get on the bad side of the Hokage." Iruka warned with small smile tugging on the corner of his lips as Yomei fist pumped the air.
Yomei bowed to Iruka hurriedly, rushing out to join Naruto with a,"thank you Iruka-sensei, you won't regret it!" Now that Yomei finally found out what was nagging him all week he could finally indulge himself in a well earned conversation.
