Chapter 3 - Dial M for Murder! - Brought to You by Henry Hotline

Location: The Food Court - Frankie's Parkour Palace

No POV

After Y/n managed to make it through the whole ordeal with Frankie that chased him down to the top of the mountain of Frankie's Lumber Yard that lead him down to the food court area of Frankie's Parkour Palace through a pipe as Y/n can finally rest for now until it's time to continue his adventure through the Parkour Palace in order to complete the game show to win the prize money and get out of the building alive.

Then the announcer began speaking to Y/n once again after making it out alive from getting torn to shreds by Frankie that chased him down through the previous parkour course before ending up at the food court area to rest for a moment and maybe grab a bite to eat if anything around here to still good to eat after running away from that psychotic killer bunny bot.

Intercom: Lucky contestant, thank goodness you're alright! I apologize, that was poorly planned on my part, but it was certainly entertaining! You know what, this is actually a good thing! You can rest here at the food court for a break and grab yourself a quick bite to eat before moving on to meet Deputy Duck at his office. His area isn't too far from here, you should give him a visit- (Monster Frankie supposedly cuts off the intercom's message and laughs maniacally)

Y/n: O_o Ok...

Y/n then decided to grab a slice of pizza with (Favorite Pizza Toppings) and a F/d as they're both surprisingly still fresh and good enough to eat as Y/n took off the mask to eat his pizza and sip his drink to not go hungry before he could continue on with the game show.

By the time he finished eating his meal, he put his mask back on and wipe off any crumbs off his jumpsuit and went back to complete the game show by getting the door open to the next area to find Deputy Duck. So, it looks like Y/n has to activate 3 more circuit breakers to open the door to get to Deputy Duck's office and this time, Y/n has to hop on some trampolines to get to higher ground and hit the switches on those circuit breakers to open the door, which didn't take too long for Y/n to complete the task as the metal door opened up for him to continue on with his mission to find Deputy Duck before he can go find Henry Hotline.

As soon as Y/n jumped down from the high platform without breaking any bones from his body, he ran down the hall and perform a few parkour attempts to get to Deputy Duck, which is right past the Parkour Course based on him to get to his office as Y/n hopped over to the giant fan to hover up to the platform to get over to the ledge without hitting his head on the ceiling.

It looks like the place is under some renovation and it makes sense why Y/n had to use the powerful fan to get all the way to the ledge to find Deputy Duck because that's where the elevator should be to get to the ledge.

Y/n: Huh. Seems like the company, who built this place is probably swimming in huge debts, which is why some of these rooms are still under "work in progress". Welp, time for another Parkour challenge with the course being based my second favorite mascot, Deputy Duck.

So, Y/n cracked his knuckles and starts going through the entire course that consists of Deputy Duck turrets that shoots plastic balls, rotating platforms, doors that Y/n can just smash through like he's the Incredible Hulk, etc., but it also has an Out of Bounds Zone that remembered not to fall down to as stepping onto the forbidden part of the course will summon that monstrous Frankie from his box as he doesn't take kindly to cheaters.

And to make things worse, Y/n doesn't believe Frankie is gonna let him off the hook again after he accidentally stepped onto the Out of Bounds Zone from the first Parkour course he went through. Luckily, Y/n managed to make it through the whole course without fail, but as he makes his way into the next area that leads into another hallway, he didn't notice Frankie climbing up the wall and stopped at the glass window, watching Y/n run down the hall to meet up with Deputy Duck as he smiled wickedly on what he has planned for him next.

Then as Y/n makes his way down the hall to find two paths to take one that will lead to Deputy Duck's Police Station and the other one will lead him to Henry Hotline.

However, the other path seems to be blocked off by a metal door and there is a circuit breaker that will open the door, but unfortunately Y/n can't activate it because it's secured by a special kind of lock that only Deputy Duck can unlock for him. So, it looks like Y/n has to get Deputy Duck to unlock the door for him to get to Henry and he knows that Deputy Duck takes his job seriously as countless wanted posters of Henry Hotline placed all over the walls, telling Y/n that Henry Hotline has done some terrible things during his time here at Frankie's Parkour Palace due to the graffiti on the wall that he discovered on the second floor at his own attraction.

Y/n: Wow. Henry Hotline has really gone off the deep end that got him on Deputy Duck's Most Wanted List. Well, I hope Deputy Duck will help me unlock this door for me. If he's willing to cooperate with me that is.

Y/n then walked into Deputy Duck's Police Station with the door slammed shut behind him as Y/n found Deputy Duck on his desk as the robot duck looked at him like he's observing him as Y/n didn't want to make Deputy Duck think he's a bad person before the police duck fell down to the floor due to his body being a literal Tablet with a duck's head wearing a police hat.

Y/n slowly walked over to Deputy Duck and carefully picked him and put him back up to his desk.

Y/n: Look, I know you might think I'm a bad person or something, but the announcer told me to find you and I need you to open the door to get to Henry, so I can complete the game show. So, can you please help me out here, Deputy Duck. I can help you apprehend that Phone Guy for you since he is on your wanted posters after all.

Deputy Duck looked at Y/n for a moment before he showed a message on his tablet screen that reads: "Sure, kid. Just be careful using me to help you get to Henry. He's a dangerous criminal that needs to be locked up for going insane from all of those phone calls he received from his fans. You can use me as a Flash Beacon and use my radar to open the doors with the special lock that I've installed. I know you're doing this to win the game show, but I can tell you need that 5 million to start your life over. Let's be honest, you're the first person to ever reach here to my office, so let's get a move on. We got a job to do."

Y/n: (Salutes to Deputy Duck) Yes, sir.

DEPUTY DUCK JOINS YOUR PARTY!

Y/n then grabs Deputy Duck as he teams up with Y/n to go find Henry as Y/n used his radar to activate the special lock circuit breaker to open both the door to his office and the door to Henry's room as both Y/n and Deputy Duck are on their way to find Henry and he's not gonna be happy to have some visitors to meet him in person.

So, Y/n makes his way to Henry's room by climbing up to an air vent that will lead Y/n and Deputy Duck to Henry as Y/n uses the Flash Beacon to see better in the vents before they came across another blocked vent doorway and there's no circuit breaker in sight to open the doorway to continue.

Deputy Duck: (On screen) Kid, use my radar to help you find the switch to open the door. It's very useful to find objects in super dark places.

Y/n: Got it.

Y/n then used the radar to find the switch that is right next to the open vent by his side as he pulled the switch and got the vent opened as continued crawling through the vent before they both eventually make it to Henry's attraction, the "Connections with Henry Hotline" attraction.

Y/n: Is this the place where I need to go to find Henry, Deputy Duck?

Deputy Duck: (On screen) Yes, this is the last place Henry Hotline would be hiding at. But stay sharp, kid. Henry Hotline is really on edge right now and he's not gonna be happy after we stepped into his home turf. So, the only way to get to the next area is to activate all 6 phones to open the exit, but once you ring each phone, Henry is sure to hear that ringing sound and will come running to that location as he is going to murder you if you don't stay away from him.

Y/n: Oh geez. Now I hate him even more.

Deputy Duck: (On screen) Trust me, kiddo. You're not the only one that hates him. But don't worry, there is a Safe Room that you can hide in whenever you feel like Henry is close by, so I highly suggest you ring a phone or two and run all the way back to the Safe Room and don't come out of there until he walks away for you to continue looking for the rest of the phone. Also, use my radar to help you find the phones to make things easier to find them cause that place is very dark and it's gonna be hard to avoid him if you're not careful and listen to his footsteps that proves that he's close by.

Y/n: Got it. I think I'm up for the challenge. I know Henry is fast, but I'm much faster than him since I passed P.E. in my school years. Why else did I managed to make it this far in this entire building than the three other contestants that got killed by Frankie.

Deputy Duck: (On Screen) Really then? Well, since you did prove that you're capable for this kind of challenge after you made it this far, I think we got this in the bag. The first phone is right there by the door to the rest of the attraction. Ring it and the door should open.

Y/n: Alright.

Then as Y/n rang the phone, Henry Hotline burst through the door in a fit of rage after Y/n rang the phone that triggered his anger of his pet peeve of the constant ringing on his phones.

Henry: (Angry) Who keeps ringing this phone?! I'm sick of it! The ringing, the ringing it won't stop, it never stops! (Spots Y/n) You, you did this to me, it hurts! (Walks back into the darkness)

Y/n: Whoa. No wonder why he went insane from the phone ringing. I regret ringing that phone.

Deputy Duck: (On Screen) I understand, kiddo. But we got a job to do. Just remember our plan to go through this whole maze to find and ring those phones, so we can get out of here before Henry catches us in the act and rip us apart. You just need to find 5 more and we're out of here.

Y/n: Ok then. (Sighs) Let's get this over with.

So, Y/n and Deputy Duck traveled through the maze with Henry lurking around the area as Y/n began searching around the maze for the phones to ring to get the exit door open, but Y/n made sure to make a dash over to the Safe Room to avoid getting strangled to death by Henry. He also had to make sure to find the phones that he didn't rang before cause ringing the same phone that you already rang will not count to open up the door to get out of Henry's maze and use Deputy Duck's radar to locate the nearest phone to rang while listening to the sound of Henry's loud thumping footsteps.

On the bright side, at least Y/n has good hearing and if hears the loud thumping sound nearby, he knows that he has to hide into the Safe Room to hide from Henry and one of the phones is inside the Safe Room, which is the last phone for Y/n to ring that opened a door to the switch to open the door as Y/n pulled the switch and the exit door opened up for Y/n and Deputy Duck to make their escape.

So, Y/n made sure that Henry is not nearby as he and Deputy Duck make a run for the exit and didn't look back in case Henry is hiding behind some walls to ambush them as went through the exit and found another vent to crawl through that will lead Y/n and Deputy Duck out of Henry's hideout. Without thinking twice, Y/n climbed up the vent and heard a sound behind him as he quickly looked back to see if Henry is right behind him, but he was nowhere to be found.

It must've been his imagination.

Until...

RIIIIIIIIIIIINNGG!!!!

The ringing sound is a clear sign that Henry is right behind the wall as he was planning to ambush them before they could escape as Y/n immediately climbed up the vent to get out of there before Henry grabbed Y/n by the ankle causing him to drop Deputy Duck and looked back to see Henry trying to pull him out of the vent. But Y/n is not gonna get killed by Henry as he kicked him square in the face, causing him to stumble back a bit, giving Y/n the chance to get away from the psychotic phone guy.

Henry: (Groans in Pain) AUGH!

Y/n: Take that you, crazy psycho!

Then as Y/n started crawling his way out of the vent, he was about to grab Deputy Duck as he didn't want to leave him behind until Henry made an attempt to grab Y/n again in a fit of rage and Y/n had no other choice but to keep crawling, regretting his choice of leaving Deputy Duck behind and made a run for it down the hall with a few parkour obstacles and circuit breakers in the way with Henry Hotline chasing after him in a fit of rage.

Henry Hotline: (Furious) GET BACK HERE!!! I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!!! WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU, I'M GONNA STRANGLE YOUR NECK WITH A PHONE CORD AND HANG YOU UP AS MY HUNTING TROPHY!!! STOP RUNNING!!!

Y/n: Not on your life, you phone headed freak!!!

Henry: (Growls Furiously) Why you little-

Then as Y/n continued running away from Henry Hotline, Frankie decided to join the party as he appeared out of nowhere and began chasing down Y/n as well.

Y/n: Ah great! Now I got two psychos chasing me down! There's got to be a way to get away from them!

Then Y/n spotted a room with circuit breakers that will be his one-way ticket to get away from Frankie and Henry as Y/n immediately slide down to the room and quickly flipped the switch on all four of the circuit breakers that opened up the door for Y/n to get in and once he went through, the metal door closed behind him as he finally managed to get away from the two psychotic, bloodthirsty mascots.

Y/n: (Panting) That was a close one. I thought I was a goner for sure.

As Y/n is busy catching his breath after running away from Frankie and Henry, Y/n heard Henry pounding his fists on the metal door in anger as he is trying to break down the door until he finally stopped pounding the door after he realized that he failed to catch Y/n.

But as the pounding stopped, Y/n can hear Henry talking to someone on the other side of the door, which turned out to be Frankie as Henry is trying to beg for Frankie to give him another chance to catch Y/n again as he listened in to their conversation and Henry seems to be afraid of what Frankie is about to do to him after he failed his mission to capture Y/n.

Henry: (Outside the room) Frankie, I-I-I tried my best! I wasn't really on killing him, I swear! My anger got the best of me! Give me another chance, please! I'll keep searching, I promise! Frankie? What are you doing? No, no!

Then Y/n heard a couple of loud thumps coming the other side of the door and it doesn't sound good at all as Frankie screeched at Henry and attacked Henry before Y/n could hear Frankie dragging Henry across the floor to take him, who knows where he will take him.

Y/n: Whoa. That can't be good. Good thing I didn't have to see that happen from the other side of this door, but at least I got away from them and made it out alive. But at what cost though. I literally just left Deputy Duck out there and he's probably dead now after I left him in the vents. He was my only friend in this cruel world I'm trapped in. (Sighs) Well, I guess better get a move on if I want to win this game show.

Then Y/n continued on with his journey as he found himself in an abandoned washroom, which hasn't been used, so Y/n doesn't have to worry about any bad smells from the toilets before he spotted another air vent as he crawled inside and went down the vent to see where it will take him. But as he kept going, he fell all the way down to another Parkour course, only this time it's more dangerous and deadly then the other Courses he took as this course was the Frankie's Crash Course and Y/n was shocked to find saw blades behind him and the floor he's standing on is moving on its own.

Y/n: (Starts running fast) HOLY SHIT! DID I JUST END UP IN A DEATH TRAP?! HOW IS THIS EVEN LEGAL?!

As Y/n kept running as fast as his legs can carry him, a bunch of platforms ranging from a wall to a small speed bump, a wall with a hole in it that Y/n can jump through and a few cardboard standees of Frankie with one of them playing dead as the obstacles are moving towards Y/n before they're all shredded away by the saw blades behind him.

All Y/n has to do in order to survive this death trap is to avoid the obstacles for 1 minute to move on as Y/n did his best to avoid the obstacles as soon as possible to avoid getting torn to shreds by the saw blades behind him.

Y/n: Oh boy! This is getting intense! I know I'm always looking for a challenge, but this is a bit too much to handle! All I got to do is survive for 1 minute and I'm home free!

Then as Y/n continued dodging the obstacles coming at him with 30 minutes left on the clock, the obstacles soon started moving faster as time progresses, alerting Y/n to stay focused and dodge faster if he wants to get out of this death trap alive.

Y/n: Ah geez! Feet don't fail me now!

Y/n kept pushing on with the timer going down and the obstacles kept going faster and faster, giving Y/n a hard time as he nearly got hit with a wall and almost tripped on a speed bump and a Frankie Standee as he nearly got killed by the sawblades until the timer went to 0, stopping everything in the room as Y/n ran into the hole, causing him to fall into the deep, dark pit, screaming all the way down to wherever Y/n might end up at.

Y/n: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

THUD!

Luckily for Y/n, the fall wasn't too deep as Y/n landed into the deeper parts of the building but was knocked out after that fall as he managed to make it out of that death trap alive.

But this adventure is not over yet as Y/n still has a few more courses to finish before the final course to win that cash prize money and as soon as he wakes up from his unconscious state, he is about to meet the announcer that watched the whole thing from the Crash Course, and he is glad that Y/n managed to get out of that death trap alive.

???: Oh, thank God! He made it out of there alive! No one has ever survived that death trap, and they always die in at least 10 seconds! Hmmm...it appears he's currently knocked out unconscious after that fall the moment he completed the course challenge. No matter! I'm sure he'll wake up eventually as long as I keep an eye on him in case Frankie decides to eat Y/n in his sleep! His adventure is not over yet and things are about to get more difficult as he progresses through the rest of the courses! Still, I can't believe the rating are skyrocketing as we know it ever since he managed to make it this far! He's going to get this show out of bankruptcy for sure! (Looks at the reader) As for now, we will be right back after these messages. Stay tuned for more exciting adventures with our lucky contestant here at Frankie's Parkour Palace after these and a word from our sponsor!
