Aditya.

They are going to get rid of us!

I realised.

My eyes met Varsha's, Her hands were still chained to the iron rod on the side and She was directly behind Nakulan who was still trying to call someone.

She looked at me while I looked at the gun.

She looked startled but nodded slowly.

Nakulan was trying to dial again, Varsha moved and elbowed him hard.

The gun moved out of his hand as he was caught off guard.

I took the chance and moved forward, But he was faster than I expected, He rolled around, took the gun and pointed it straight at Varsha.

"No!" I stilled, "Don't" I said.

"I didn't get the order yet, But I guess I can do this now" Nakulan smiled evilly.

I moved in a flash and covered her.

"Stop" I said. "Abiram is already on the run, Mahesh is hospitalised, Do you want to continue this?" I asked him while blocking Varsha from his gun.

"Aditya, Move back" Varsha tried to get me off her, But I refused to budge.

Nakulan laughed.

"Worry about yourself and your friends" He said. "All of them will be dead by now" He said. "Do you know, even the special task officer in your gang is trapped and all of them will be killed today" He said.

"You bloody.." I whispered.

"Ooh, I forgot to tell you one more thing..." Nakulan looked at me with a smirk. "Narayan sir sent Antony there" He said. "He sent the dreadful killer to take care of your friends" He smiled.

Both Varsha and I froze at that.

Antony!

"No one is picking up my calls, Do you know what it means?" Nakulan smirked again. "They all are busy with getting rid of your friends" He smiled evilly and raised up the gun to my head. "And now you are going to die here too" He said.

"Aditya No!" Varsha pushed me again.

"Three.." Nakulan said, His eyes filling with merry. "Two.." He counted and I turned around and hugged Varsha tightly. "One..Goodbye!" He said and pressed the trigger.

Varsha tightened her grip on me and I closed my eyes tightly, But the pain never came.

I opened my eyes slowly and turned around, even Nakulan looked Shocked.

He raised up the gun and shot me again, but nothing happened.

His gun don't have any bullet!

I realised.

I watched Nakulan and he watched me.

There's no chance like this again.

I know that it's do or die now.

I lunged at him at the same time he tried to attack me back.

I kicked him back and He fell back with a groan. I tried to corner him but, he rolled away, Then turned around and fisted me.

He was a gigantic man and my breath was knocked out of me.

"Even without the gun, Do you really think that you are any match for me!?" He growled as he started to attack me.

"Nakulan!" The driver turned back while Varsha was trying to ditach the chain on her hands, She was trying so hard that her wrists were starting to bleed.

"Don't touch him..let him go!" Varsha shouted as Nakulan slammed me to the side and I tried to breath.

"Don't stop, Put the siren on, I am taking care these two today" Nakulan shouted at the driver.

The loud sound of ambulance siren filled the air, Blocking the noises of fights inside and the van sped forward.

Nakulan was approaching me again with an evil glint in his eyes and I moved away, Missing his punch by inches.

"I am the number one...fighter..in surya Group" Nakulan said as he held me down and started to strangle me.

I tried again and managed to roll him back down.

"Aditya...Kill him" Varsha shouted. "Kill him or he will kill you" She was half crying and half screaming now.

Nakulan was already pouncing on me like I am his prey and I tried to punch him.

This time I got him in the eye, He screamed in pain and I pressed my elbow to his middle.

"You bastard!"

He moved back and Clutched his eyes, He looked murderous as he looked at me.

"I am going to kill you!" He growled.

I waited, Waiting to defend, I know that I cannot attack him, He was far more powerful than me, Even though I am pretty good with martial arts, Nakulan was far more superior than me.

Varsha.

Tears started to flow down as I watched the fight. Aditya was already battered from head to foot and he was still defending Nakulan, Who looked raged that Aditya is not giving up.

I pulled the chain around my wrists again, but in vain, It was bleeding and I didn't even feel any pain.

I started to struggle again, trying to take it off me.

"Aah" Nakulan pushed his knees to Aditya and he fell down the floor.

Nakulan stepped on top of his right hand and crushed it under his shoe.

"No..." I shouted, Trying to move again. "Aditya..kill him..Aditya.." I screamed as I saw him getting beaten up. "Aditya ...please..don't..give up..fight...fight..back.." I sobbed and Pulled the chain again. "Adity-"

I froze as the Iron rod moved a little.

I watched with wide eyes when the screw fell down and I realised that I can get free if I manage to detach the other end too.

I started to work on that, Trying to block the voices in there.

When I finally succeeded, I turned around to see Nakulan attacking Aditya, Giving blow after blow and I didn't even have time to get rid of the chain around me.

I took the Iron rod that was still attached to the chain on my hand and I struck him hard, Getting him straight on the head and Nakulan stilled.

His eyes widened at the sudden attack and he looked at me in shock, but he couldn't move.

Blood started to flow down as I raised the iron rod again, no longer caring about anything else now.

"Varsha..No!" I could hear the distant shout, But nothing was registering inside my head except for the shrill voice that filled the air.

I lowered it again, With another strike, Nakulan fell down the floor.

My legs trembled and my knees gave way, I fell down the floor, But I was not ready to give up.

I raised it again; Aditya was already trying to stop me, He was injured from head to foot and he was still trying to drag himself to me, But all I wanted was to kill Nakulan.

"No!" Aditya hugged me tightly to him, He was trying to keep me away from attacking Nakulan anymore. "Varsha, No, Calm down..." He kept repeating while I lowered the rod slowly and let go of it.

I realised that the shrill voice filling around was my own. Aditya was still hugging me tightly, Holding me away from Nakulan.

"It's okay, Varsha, Calm down, It's okay..." He keep on saying while another siren came closer and closer.

Aditya.

The ambulance suddenly jerked to a stop and the driver abandoned it and ran away.

It was difficult to hold Varsha to me with my injured hand, But I tightened my grip around her.

We tensed as the door was opened and people were surrounding us.

"Dr.Aditya and Varsha?" The police officer asked and I nodded. "We are here to help you" He said.

"I...my..my friends.." I said slowly.

"They all are safe" He said and I slowly closed my eyes.

Thank God!

"Arjun sir asked us to find you" He added.

The pain was nothing compared to the relief in my mind.

My vision started to darken.

"Aditya?" I heard Varsha shouting, Panicked, But I was already floating in the air, Semiconscious.

Shahid.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked straight at shweta.

I stared at her for a moment.

"Izzy!?" I tried to get up and my whole body screamed in pain.

"Daddy" She said and Shweta helped her to get up on my bedside.

I watched as Izzy took my hand in her small ones. "Daddy, Don't..don't leave Izzy alone anymore" She started to sob and shweta looked at her.

"Izzy, Did you forget what I told you?" She asked gently and Izzy wiped her eyes.

"Daddy..I love you" She said, her lower lip was trembling and her eyes were filling and flowing down. "Don't leave me, Izzy will be alone if you go to mummy" Her lips trembled and I gripped her hand.

"Daddy won't..leave you," I said. "Don't worry anymore." I assured her.

I looked at Shweta, The smile on her face was all the assurance I needed.

Everyone is safe...

I took a deep breath.

"Did you save me?" I asked.

"You were taken to the Surya headquarters, It was deserted except for the few people who were watching you, Shyam came with his men from palace group and they attacked with the help of Karan" She said. "Karan helped me to find you too" She said.

"Thank you, I owe you this" I nodded.

Shweta.

I smiled at him.

"You already owe me a meal for finding Izzy" I said. "Arjun and others asked me to stay with you while they take care of the things at estate house" I told him. "Aditya is also severely injured, They are already operating on him" I told him.

Aditya needed an orthopaedic surgery on his right hand.

"Here?" I looked around the hospital room.

"Palace hospital" Shweta said. "Shyam left after transferring you here, He said he is getting ready for a legal battle with Surya group" I added. "Father already knows that the new investors were from palace group"

"He has no way out of this now" Shahid said darkly.

"CEO Gangadhar and Arjun thinks father will do something, He is too stubborn to surrender" I said. "I am really glad that all of you pulled through this"

"Thank you" Shahid nodded.

I looked down, Feeling guilty.

"I am sorry" I whispered. "I won't ever...bother you again, Shahid" I said while my eyes started to fill again. "I don't even have the courage to face you, Because of my family, You were-"

"You are nothing like your family, Shweta, I mean it!" Shahid said. "As for bothering me, It never bothered to have you around, You are a good friend to me" He said. "It's not that you are the problem" Shahid told me. "It's because...I..It's me..I-"

"You are still in love with Jasmine" I nodded. "I know, You..you were..calling her...Asking for her the whole time you were..brought in..I..I didn't mean to intrude, Sorry" I said.

Shahid nodded.

"I love her" He said. "I don't think..that I could ever move past it and I..I don't want to, I like my life now, I have Izzy, All of you... and my memories with Jasmine" He said. "I will survive with that" He said. "If Izzy was not here, I would've followed her long before...But..then I met the gang." He stopped.

"Daddy" Izzy said. "Mummy always wanted Izzy to take care of daddy, Don't worry, I will take care of you" she said.

Shahid smiled and looked at her, His eyes filled with tenderness and I moved outside quitely.

I know that it will hurt, But I need to take care if this little attraction of mine.

I can compete with a living person and try to win, But how am I supposed to compete with a dead person?

Every time I hear something about Jasmine, I feel like I cannot compare to her.

She was Shahid's life and Shahid don't even want to change anything. He is not ready to give his heart to anyone else.

I wiped my eyes and stilled when Karan looked away.

I got annoyed instantly.

I don't know why he has to appear every time I am crying!

"Is Shahid okay?" Karan asked me.

He totally ignored that I am crying!

"Ok" I said in one word. "What about Aditya?" I asked him back. "I thought you were supposed to stay with Varsha?"

"Aditya is out of danger and Varsha has finally calmed down, Dr.Prakash is waiting there with Varsha."

"How is he?" I asked him again. "Aditya is his adopted son"

Dr.Prakash was not physically hurt, but he still was locked up for a few days and weak.

"He is coping well, I think Varsha and he can console each other, They are waiting in front of the OT" Karan said.

I nodded, Then looked at him sharply.

"Why did you do it to me? Why did you use me to gain their trust?"

He had taken my phone from me to prevent me from helping the gang when they were trapped and he had locked me up with my father's instructions.

I really thought he betrayed us, I wouldn't have forgiven him if it was not the fact that It was him who released me and helped me to find Shahid and Izzy while Palace group's men reached to help.

"Ms.Shweta. I thought you will figure it out that there was no other way" He said. "It was essential to make everyone believe that I abandoned Arjun sir" He said.

"That's all?"

He nodded.

Whoa!

I have never seen anyone as insensitive as him!

I gave him a glare and walked back.

He practically used me to gain the trust of my father.

Arjun.

All of us watched as the STO officers moved Abiram's men to the waiting prison bus.

The only person left was Abiram.

Jacob sir brought him forward and All of us walked near.

"Remove his gag" Sanju said. "I would like to hear his last words" She added.

Abiram's eyes fixed on her threateningly while Jacob sir removed his gag.

He was chained from head to foot, But his anger and hatred never diminished from his face.

"Mark my words, Arjun" He looked at me straight in the eyes. "Father will destroy you, Do you really think you can own Surya group after this? You worked with palace group to win! You joined arms with our enemy!"

I took a step toward him.

"Do you think that I am doing all these for your bloody company?" I asked him. "Everything is over for Surya group, I will see that it's destroyed"

"Father will not let you go-"

"No Abiram, I will not let him go, I will ruin him completely" I said again.

"You son of a bi***! You really have gone blind with your hatred! Your mother was only a mistress, Arjun, She was a bloody bitch!" He shouted.

"Yea, I have gone blind with my hatred, Abiram, Because your Father killed my whole family" I said. "He built the Surya group with their blood, He betrayed his boss and killed his family" I growled.

For the first time in his life, Abiram looked at loss of words. He was frozen now.

"No..." He whispered.

"Do you really think that I am a Surya Narayan? Do you think I am anything like you, Mahesh or your father?" I asked him venomously.

"It made my skin crawl to accept the surname Surya Narayan, It infuriated me to call the murderer of my family 'Father'" I gritted my teeth. "Do you know how I persisted?" I clutched his shirt and looked at his shocked face. "I was waiting for this day, Abiram, I knew that this day will come," I said.

"Raj..Rajnath..You are a Rajnath!?"

Abiram was still in shock.

"He is not only a Rajnath, But also the current president of Palace group" Karthik said.

Abiram's eyes widened.

"You...You were working against us all these time! You are a traitor!" he said. "Just wait, Arjun Rajnath, Father already have back up, He will save the company and-"

He stopped midway as Karthik, Aditi and Sanju laughed.

"It's over for you, Abiram, The backup you just mentioned was palace group" I said. "Surya group is already in my hands and your Father will soon realise it"

"You bloody-"

I stopped his punch midway.

"Wait inside the jail, I will make sure that you will get death penalty for all the people you killed" I said and nodded to the officer in charge.

He came forward and dragged away the screaming and shouting Abiram to the car.

"I will report to DIB and come back" Karthik walked to his men and Aditi walked to the car.

"Arjun" Sanju took my hand.

"I will talk to the officer in charge and come back, finish your reporting before that" I told her and she nodded.

Aditi.

Karthik was still reporting back to the DIB while his STF members were giving me weird and curious look from time to time.

Abiram was handcuffed and inside the police jeep. Arjun was talking to the officer in charge, Someone who is trustworthy.

"You bastard!" Abiram was still screaming, unable to accept the truth. "You are Rajnath's son! You were stabbing us behind the back all these time! You bloody bastard, I will come out, Mark my words, Arjun Rajnath, I will come out and get you all, I won't Spare you.." He screamed loudly.

I frowned.

Who asked them to remove his gag? It was better when he couldn't talk.

The fact that Arjun is the president of palace group was unbearable to him, He was violent from the moment he learnt the truth.

Arjun looked at him coldly.

"You won't ever see the outside world again, Abiram, Just wait there, Your father and brother will join you soon," He said angrily. "I have enough evidences against you including STO Ajith Roy sir" He added. Then turned to the officer, Who looked nervous.

"Lock him up well, Don't let him talk to anyone, I don't want to expose my identity to Narayan now." He added.

"Okay sir" The officer nodded. "We will not expose anything till you ask us to"

Arjun has decided to keep everything low for the time being. He don't want to alert Narayan...yet.

I turned to the only person who seriously looked like enjoying Abiram's shouts and threats. She was already infront of the Camera, The mic was still in her hand while Nitin was recording her.

I admire how easily and flawlessly the words just flowed from her, She was describing about what happened there and They were the only channel present here to cover the whole story.

I guess that Trisha finally got her wish fulfilled to work alongside the police.

I walked back to the car.

It was an eventful day and I am glad that it's already over.

"Karthik sir is asking for you Ma'am" Someone told me and I turned back to the side and started to walk.

I thought he was busy?

Karthik.

"This is Reporter Trishana with cameraman Nitin, We are recording from the crime site where Abiram and Mahesh Surya Narayan held seven hostages including a five year old....."

I shook my head and walked to the officers while Arjun was already talking to his men from palace group who joined my STO team against Narayan's men.

"But sir, everyone is worried about you, They want you to come back now" CEO Gangadhar was trying to convince Arjun to leave the estate house with him.

"Go ahead, Our bodyguards are already here and everything is over, Don't worry," Arjun told him. "Shyam and Karan is already preparing the legal documents, You should go there and take charge until I reach there" He added.

So Gangadhar reluctantly left with few of his men.

The Police car moved forward with Abiram and Trisha and Nitin was following it, Still recording him, who was shouting, screaming and threatening everyone from inside.

The car moved away and Trisha turned back to the camera, She raised her mic again. "We are bringing you the visuals directly from-Arjun!" She exclaimed as Arjun dragged her off to the side.

I chuckled while Nitin lowered the Camera.

"It's okay Trisha, I think we already did a good job, I will edit and air this before anyone else get hold of the news" He said.

"Make sure that you didn't capture my officers or me" I told him. "We cannot reveal our presence" I added.

Nitin nodded. "I was careful, Trisha already told me about it, It's still bad that you guys have to risk your life and give the credit to the local police" He said.

"That's our job" I assured him.

"You can report about Abiram and Mahesh's arrest, But wait a little more to reveal my identity"

"I understand" He nodded, "I will hold on to this original clip until you ask me to" He said. "I am already thrilled and waiting to see the response from viewers when I air this" He said. "But I can wait if it's to trap the big fish" He said, Talking about Narayan.

"Thank you, Nitin" Arjun nodded while Trisha started to say something,

"I will just finish the closing details-"

She stopped as she was engulfed in a hug by Arjun in front of all the people.

I laughed again as I saw her looking petrified, Her face looked red and She hide her face inside his chest, Hiding from everyone.

"Arjun!"

"I asked you to follow me" Arjun replied as he tightened his grip. "You asked for this" He murmured.

I knew what Arjun was feeling as I was really feeling the same thing.

Now that the formalities are over and I have already taken care of STF, I need to see a "certain someone" too.

I walked to the car where Aditi was sitting, But I didn't spot her anywhere.

"Where's Aditi?" I asked one of the guys whom I had asked to look after her.

"Sir, you send someone to call her and she followed him"

"What!?"

My heart skipped a beat. "What did you say?"

"You sent a man here, what is it sir?" he looked worried suddenly.

My heart leaped at the news and I forced myself to focus.

"Who took her?" I asked again while Arjun and Trisha came near.

"What is it, Karthik?" Arjun asked.

"Aditi is missing" I said.

"She was just here!" Trisha said, Shocked, Her face turned to worry. "Nitin, take the camera"

Nitin reached with his camera and all of us surrounded the screen.

"Here, She is following this man" He showed us the recording.

"That's not someone from Palace group!" one of Arjun's guards said.

"Let's split up" Arjun said and looked around.

"Everyone, Gather around" He said.

I looked around the STOs and Arjun's men.

"Listen everyone, Let's split up and search for Aditi, It's night time and be careful in the woods," I said.

I am trying my best not to panic, I know that I cannot lose focus now.

Everyone nodded.

"We will cover the backside of the house, we have more men," My juniors said.

So everyone divided to groups while I started to move.

My heart was feeling heavy suddenly.

Aditi.

"Do you still remember me?" The guy asked me slowly, sending a shiver down my spine.

The man I followed led me to this guy and my whole body shook as I recognised him.

He laughed at the fear in my eyes.

"Stay..stay away!" I whispered and started to run again.

I tried to run as far away as I could from him but it was difficult to lose him.

The man followed me with that same laughter that I would recognise anywhere, It was the same laughter he had when he murdered my family and stabbed me all those years back.

Fear crept down me and I stumbled on a root and fell down.

He stopped infront of me and raised up the knife, The same knife that killed my family.

My hands and feet trembled and I got up slowly.

"Don't..don't" I whispered as I took a step back, The guy took a step forward, He was dressed in dark from head to toe and looked like a real devil.

His eyes glinted in the dark.

I took another step back.

"The police..they..they are here..you..you cannot get away" I said while he closed on me.

I hit the tree trunk and he reached infront of me.

He is going to kill me..just like my family...

Aditya..Karthik..my friends...

Karthik...

"I will tell you the real magic spot to knock out someone, Aditi, It works like a real taser."

I looked at his eyes, he looked like he is enjoying this, I can see that he is savouring the taste of my fear.

"You are quite precious to me" He whispered in my ear and I shrinked back to the tree. "Because you are a mistake," He said again, His voice was bone chilling and evil. "You were supposed to die a long time before, But you cheated death" he whispered again.

He raised the dagger slowly.

I held my breath and waited for the pain.

He brought the dagger down to me and I braced myself.

He laughed.

I felt the air wooing past me as he brought down the weapon close to me, But didn't stab me.

He is playing with me...

I looked at his soulless eyes.

"You are the only person...who escaped me.." He whispered.

Goosebumps erupted all over me and my heartbeat increased.

He was too close.

This is my only chance.

"You are..wrong" I whispered slowly. "You..failed to kill..Suresh..sir" I said.

His eyes glinted dangerously and fury filled the depth of it.

He was raising the dagger again, This time, I have no doubt that he intended to kill me.

Now!

I raised my hand and struck him hard on the side of his neck, Just below the ear and the weapon fell down and his body followed.

His body contorted in pain and I registered both surprise and Anger in his face.

He was not expecting it from me.

I forced myself to move and started to run again, But I was too drained.

My legs were shaking and the darkness inside the woods were not helping me.

I was about a 10 feet ahead when I heard the animal-like roar and his footsteps.

He won't leave me..He is obsessed with killing me..

"ADITI" I heard a distant shout.

My heart hammered inside me.

A tiny ray of hope flashed through me.

"Karthik?" I shouted. "KARTHIK..."

"Aditi!?"

His voice gave me strength to push myself forward. "Karthik...Help me.." I shouted.

I heard the laughter behind me again and My body shivered, It was difficult to push myself forward.

"Karthik..."

I screamed, Pushing myself forward again.

"Aditi" I suddenly spotted him at the far end. He was hurrying to me. "Here, quick!" He told me and I ran straight to him.

"Do you think you can escape me?" I heard the laughter and movement behind me.

The guy don't even look threatened that someone else was there, His eyes were focused on me alone.

"Don't look back!" Karthik shouted. "Run!"

I lost my balance and flew forward.

Nooo...I cannot stop..I cannot fall down-

Karthik grabbed me to prevent my fall.

"He..he will..kill me" I whispered and tightened my hands around him.

"Not if I can help it" Karthik voice was as hard as steel, His expression changed.

I could still hear Antony's steps getting closer to us.

"He..he has a weapon..." My voice trembled as I turned back to look.

Next thing I know, Karthik turned me back, He imprisoned me against his body and Kept me there with a hand while the gunshot rang in the air.

My body jerked, But he didn't let me move or look back.

I heard the sound of something falling down and the ground vibrated beneath me.

I froze.

"Are you okay?" He immediately moved me to a hand's distance and scanned me from head to foot.

I nodded and he crushed me back to him. My whole body was shivering and I was thankful for the support he was giving me.

"Never...Never ever scare me like that!"

His voice trembled and I felt him tightening his hands around me.

"Sir"

"You are here"

"The guy is dead"

"Wow, It was a good shot"

"Karthik"

Everyone reached one by one, They must've heard the gun shot, But Karthik was holding me to him tightly and he didn't let me go while other STOs were already checking the guy.

"Are you both okay?" Arjun asked and Karthik slowly let go of me.

"We are okay" Karthik said. "Arjun, Let's send them back safely and take care of things" He said and Arjun nodded.

"They already got hold of the other guy who helped him" Arjun said and I sighed in relief.

I tried to look at the dead guy, But before I could take a look, Karthik dragged me away from there and Arjun followed us.

As soon as we were outside the woods and reached near the estate house, Something flashed across my sight.

"Aditi" Trisha screamed and jumped at me and hugged me with a cry.

"I...I thought.." She said while everyone stared at us.

Looks like she was held back by Arjun's men.

"I..I am okay" I assured her, but she was not letting go of me.

"Trisha..."

"Sanju, Let her take rest" Arjun said while pulling her back from me.

Trisha wiped her eyes and moved back. "You scared me" She said.

Arjun.

I held her back as she started to follow Aditi and Karthik .

"What!?" She looked at me angrily. "It's not enough for you to hold me back here last time, You need to do it now also?" She asked angrily.

"I am just saving you from being the third wheel," I said while bringing her back to me and hugging her closer. "I am glad that everything is over" I said.

"I think Narayan will refuse everything, He will demand that he was not involved in anything and that he is a victim and was betrayed by his family and directors" Sanju said. "He will deny it to the end and We cannot prosecute him without evidence" She said. "I am damn sure that he will blame it on others and escape"

She really knows him, I have anticipated the same thing too.

"There's something else he is worried about more than being jailed, Sanju" I said.

She looked at me.

"Losing the firm" I said. "If Surya group is destroyed, He cannot accept that, He did everything to build up his corporation and soon he will realise that everything is over for him" He said. "And I have enough evidence to prosecute him, He cannot get away this time"

I was not simply sitting in the office all these days, I have strong evidence against him.

I want him to be humiliated in front of the whole world, I will make him a laughing stock in front of everyone before handing the evidence to the police.

"Then I will trust you, Take care of the rest, I need to visit shahid and Aditya" She said.

Karthik.

"Thank..you" Aditi said slowly and looked at me. She was sitting inside the Van. A blanket was wrapped around her.

I knelt down in front of her and took her hand.

"Are you really okay?" I asked her softly as my thumb moved over the tiny cut on her forearm.

"Nothi..Nothing serious" She looked startled at my closeness. She tried to take her hand back and I gripped it.

"Don't make me snap" I looked at her. "I am barely controlling myself" I added.

"I am really okay, Karthik" She insisted.

I took a deep breath to calm myself and nodded.

"You are covered in cuts, Let me clean it and help you" I took out the cotton and spirit from the already open first aid box.

"I don't want-" She stopped as I gave her a look.

I started to work. I know that it must be stinging, but she didn't complain or say anything while I used spirit to clean her wounds.

"I am sorry" I said slowly. "I left like that" I said. "You don't know how scared I was when Shyam informed me that all of you are trapped here" I said.

I got up and took the seat next to her.

I raised the cotton to her neck.

"I...I will do that" Aditi said and I looked at her eyes.

"I told you to behave" I said and leaned to her.

Aditi looked startled and moved back slightly. I took her hand and stopped her midway.

"Aditi" I whispered as I closed the distance between us. "I love you" I kissed her.

It was slow and soft, I wound my arms around her middle and pulled her to me.

"Karthik"

Aditi broke the kiss and looked at me. Her body was already close to me and she had to lean back slightly to look at me.

"I missed you Aditi" I kissed her again, This time, I was thrilled that she didn't pull away.

I kissed her for a few seconds and pulled myself back.

She looked dazed and we both looked at each other for a moment.

I still can't believe that we are safe now. I can't believe that we pulled through the worst.

"Karthik," Aditi said nervously. "I missed..you too, I...I love you"

The last of my control snapped. I crashed my lips to her again, This time not holding back.

Aditi kissed me back. I pulled her completely to my lap and kissed her intensely while holding her close to me.

"Kar..thik" She tried to move back again and I resisted.

"Karthik" She put a hand on my chest. "Trisha and Arjun...They are waiting" Aditi said again.

I slowly came back to my senses.

I nodded and let go of her reluctantly.

Aditi moved back and I wrapped the blanket around her again.

"Wait here, I will ask my team to wind up everything-"

"Why did you do it?" She asked me and I stopped.

"Do what?"

"Turn me around from watching it?" She asked me.

She's talking about the time when I shot Antony.

I took a deep breath.

"That's...that's also a part of me," I said. "but I would rather you don't see that side of me." I said.

Aditi looked at me for a moment, Then nodded slowly.

"Why did you let them catch you?" She asked again. "You knew it was a trap, You still walked straight here"

"It was part of my mission," I shrugged. "Everyone I value was trapped, The only way to help was to come inside."

I had put my life on the line and I knew that I will be in danger.

"Did it ever occur to you that you would've been killed today if Arjun hadn't thought of tampering with their guns?" She asked again.

I nodded grimly.

I had told my men to move secretly, But they got discovered before they could reach here, It would have been fatal if not for Arjun's plan.

"Next time you decide to give up for me, Just remember that I don't want that" Aditi said. "Even if they put a gun against my head like today-"

"Shh.." I touched my index finger to her lips. "There's no next time, Aditi" I said firmly. "We will end everything with this" I said.

"How did you think of the backup plan?" She asked me.

"My dad" I turned to her. "I followed the same plan that my dad used to catch the spies" I said. "But of course, I did some changes and I was already aware of the spies inside, So everything was easier"

"But then-"

"Puppy" I leaned down to her and wrapped her more closely in the blanket that was covering her. "You are unusually talkative today, Recover first and We will talk later" I said.

"Let's go back to others" She nodded. "I heard everyone is fine" She added.

We haven't told her about Aditya yet, But I already got information from the hospital that he's doing fine.

Varsha.

I held on to Aditya's uninjured hand and cried softly.

Aditya is out of danger and he is already moved from the OT to the room.

I am still worried about the injury to his right hand, Nakulan had crushed it and I am worried if it will affect his career.

Dr.Prakash talked to his ortho doctor and told me that he is going to be alright in time. He said it might take some time for him to heal though.

Dr.Prakash's nurse forced him to go back to his room as he was already weak.

As for Nakulan, He survived my attack but he is now bedridden for life, A fact that I don't regret at all.

I looked at Aditya who was still in an induced sleep.

I wiped my tears.

"I am..glad..that you are..okay" I told him and sniffed again. "Aditya, I was..scared"

I wiped my eyes and looked at his face again.

"I...I really thought that..Nakulan..." I stopped, unable to complete my sentence.

Aditya's eyelids moved slightly and I jumped to my feet.

"Aditya! Are you awake!?" I asked him.

It took him a few more time to open his eyes slowly.

I break down crying again.

"You are..okay, Thank..God, You are awake..." I said.

"You are too...loud, I..I cannot sleep" He said slowly and I wiped my eyes for the umpteenth time,

I tried my maximum to control the tears, But it just wouldn't stop.

I squeezed his uninjured hand.

"You..are..okay.." Aditya said in relief, Then looked around.

"They..all are on the way" I told him. "Shahid is injured and he is still getting treated" I added.

"Are you...alright now?" He asked me and I nodded.

This time he was not asking about my physical well being, I knew it.

"Your eyes..are filling again, you..really are a crybaby" He said and opened his left hand. "Come on, Let me..hug you" He said.

"You cannot move around, Your right hand is-"

"I am not moving around, All I want is to hug you" he said as if it's the simplest thing.

I stared at him while he watched me back.

I cannot ignore my feeling for him anymore, I know it.

But I cannot be selfish too...

"Don't..think too much" Aditya said. "Listen to your heart"

"I am not...emotionally..stable person, I..I can be..unbearable and...unreasonable and-"

"I love you, Varsha, All I am asking you is a hug" Aditya was still waiting for me.

It was very difficult to ignore the feelings when all I want was to hug him back too.

I moved forward automatically and leaned down to hug him.

The relief it gave me was surprising and I was glad to feel his warm body against me.

Aditya.

I smiled as she hugged me carefully, Trying not to hurt me and I tightened my hold around her.

She was the one who needed this more than me.

She tried to move back and I grabbed her hand.

"Aditya-"

"Stay with me" I pressed the button on the bed and the head portion moved up slowly.

"Aditya! You can't move"

"My hand is stabilised" I told her. "I am a doctor, Don't worry" I added.

She was still looking at me with concern and the bed was finally in a supine position.

"Sit with me" I patted the space next to me.

"You are supposed to take rest"

"I am sleepy, Stay with me until that" I said.

Varsha moved towards me and Sit near me hesitantly.

I pulled her to my side and she looked startled.

"Aditya!"

"Shh...I am tired, Don't disturb me" I put my head on her shoulder and closed my eyes. "Wake me up when everyone is here"
