"Do you know why I am sending you to pick him up?" Narayan sir asked me.

I nodded.

"If I don't go, Arjun sir will be suspicious" I said.

He nodded approvingly.

"This is also a test for you" he said. "I am watching you, If you disclose anything to Arjun, I will know right away and You will not escape me" I warned him.

"Karan, How's everything at office?" Raghav sir asked him.

"No problem" He said. "The Shareholder's meeting is tomorrow, I arranged the necessary files for you today"

I nodded, Watching him.

"I have done everything you told me to do, I verified the datas you collected and prepared everything spotlessly, I kept my promise to you" He smiled.

I stilled.

It was karan's last words to me just before I went to London.

Why did father especially ask Karan to pick up Raghav sir too? It's like he don't want us to talk anything privately.

"I too have to take care of some things" I said while he opened the door for me.

Karan stopped the car and stepped out to help me with my luggage.

"I will help him" Vijay said. "You can go and drop Raghav sir first" He added.

I resisted the urge to raise my eyebrows at that.

"What? I was thinking of helping Narayan sir-"

"Everything is ready for the Shareholders meeting, Narayan sir said that he already sent you some datas and you can just go through it from home" he said.

He looked confused, But nodded suddenly.

"Then I will go back first" He turned to me and said.

I nodded.

"Okay" I stopped and turned to Karan who was already walking back.

"Karan, I asked you to meet one of our clients before the meeting, Did you do that?" I asked.

"Yes sir, I did everything as I promised" He looked me in the eyes. "You can contact me if there's anything you want to know" He added.

There it is again,The promise.

I took a deep breath and turned to Vijay.

"Let's go" I said and walked inside while he dragged my bags and followed me.

As I walked inside, I was strangely aware of the deserted feeling the headquarters have.

Normally a lot people will be busy going in and out, But today, That was missing.

And Vijay is sticking to me like a gum.

"I am tired from the long journey, I will just freshen up and come there to meet father" I told Vijay as we reached in front of my cabin.

He nodded.

"I will tell him that you are here" He walked away.

As I reached my cabin, Everything was in perfect order.

Karan even had my fresh suit prepared like he always used to do.

So after freshening up, I walked to father's room.

"Arjun..I was waiting for you" Father got up and walked to me. Instead of walking to the settee, He walked to the door.

"Are we going somewhere?" I asked.

"Yes" He said. "I want to show you something interesting before the Board meeting" He said and I followed him.

"I started Surya group with my flesh and blood" He said. "I want you to know all of that before you take the CEO position" He said.

"I understand" I nodded.

Vijay brought the car and both of us entered inside.

"It's normal for young people to make mistakes, But the real trouble starts when they are stubborn and refuse to accept them" He said. "Arjun, Even if you somehow make any mistake, As long as you tell the truth and beg for forgiveness, I will consider forgiving you" He said.

I looked at him in surprise, What he said is not something usual, Besides, He is behaving strangely today.

The main door of the estate house was crashed down and I took in the surroundings, Six most trustworthy armed men were placed inside the house.

To my surprise, Even Raghav sir was stationed inside, His face looked grim.

"Finally" Abiram walked to me with a smile. "You are here"

"You said you have something for us" Father said and Abiram walked forward eagerly.

"That's right, I have a surprise gift for Arjun" He said smugly.

My heart started to beat wildly and I felt bad.

Like really really bad.

"This way" Abiram walked and we followed him.

He stopped in front of a locked door.

One guy opened the door for us and I was standing directly in front of it.

The door opened slowly and I stayed there, Frozen in front of the room.

I knew that something bad was happening, But never have I ever for once thought of this.

The first person my eyes landed on was Sanju, Her hands were tied back, Her lips bleeding and she was covered in bruises.

My world shook as I saw her.

I watched her, Rooted to the spot and even breathing normally felt difficult for me.

I wanted nothing more than to run to her and protect her from everyone, But I know that it will put her in more difficult position.

I forced myself to stay put and then I registered Karthik and Aditi behind her.

"Shahid and his daughter is already in our custody and The Doctor and Varsha Abraham will be taken care of when Mahesh is safely transferred to the hospital" Abiram said proudly.

I was still frozen in front of the door.

Somewhere in the working part of my brain, I realised that the whole gang has been trapped.

"Why did you move them? We should have taken care of them together" Raghav sir said.

"I moved them when I heard that the STO guys reached here with Karthik Suresh Kumar, Mahesh needed immediate medical support and I thought it will make a problem with moving Mahesh safely, But It was easier to control him than I imagined" Abiram said.

I guess he meant to say that he blackmailed him.

"So brother" Abiram turned to me. "Do you know them?" He asked me.

From his tone, I knew that I will make everything worse if I lied now.

Everyone was staring at me as they waited an answer from me.

My eyes ran over the people locked up in the room.

I could feel Sanju trying to control her emotions. I could see Karthik and Aditi avoiding eye contact.

I took a deep breath and turned to father.

"I was using them...it's true" I said.

"You were working with them against Surya group" Abiram shouted. "Don't lie, We already know everything!"

"I never worked against Surya group, I was using them to get everything out of them, I wanted to trap them"

"Arjun, If you lie, I will never forgive you, Be truthful"

"I admit that I had contact with them, but I just wanted to get details on them" I said firmly.

"Really?" Abiram walked inside the room. "Is that why you attacked my man who tried to take a picture of Sanjana Saxena?" He Pulled up Sanju by her elbow and pushed her toward me.

Her hands were still tied and she couldn't even prevent her fall or get support from anywhere.

I supported her, Held her for a moment tightly and felt her trembling body against me before she dropped down to the floor.

"Prove it then" He said. "Prove it that you were only using them, Prove it that you don't care a damn about them" He said.

"Here" Father loaded the gun, Removed the safety pin and handed it to me.

My eyes met hers and Both of us stared at each other.

Every moment we had together flashed through my mind and It took all of my will power not to expose myself.

I stayed there while holding the gun and Sanju closed her eyes, like she's ready to die.

My heart trembled.

"Arjun!" Father said. "If you shoot her, I will forget this whole incident" He said. "Everyone is prone to make mistakes, But if you are ready to correct yourself now, I will forget this whole incident" He said.

"I cannot..kill..people" I said slowly. "You know that-"

"I am asking you to correct the mistake you have done" Father didn't budge back. "If you cannot do that, I will abandon you here and now, You are no more my son, But if you take care of this, You will be installed as the CEO tomorrow, Your life will be smooth and secure" He said again.

Everyone in the room was silent, Even Karthik or Aditi didn't do or say anything to stop me.

I looked at them and realised another thing with shock.

Sanju slowly opened her eyes and looked up at me, I could still see the very faint red color of sindoor where I had marked her. Her eyes were pleading with me and I could see what she's asking for.

"Arjun has never killed anyone before" Abiram said in a fake sympathetic voice and walked back to us. "I can understand his problem, Let me help you do it then" He siad, Took the gun off my hand unexpectedly and Raised it towards her head.

His index finger rested on the trigger.

I shouted and covered her with my body, I hugged her in front of everyone and covered her from them.

The whole room was engulfed in silence as everyone including Karthik, Aditi and Surya group watched me, frozen.

"Arjun!" Father sounded shocked, It was my first time hearing him like that.

I let go of Sanju and turned around to face him, Still guarding her with my body.

I was still on the floor as I looked up at him.

I fisted my hands tightly and gritted my teeth.

But I knelt down in front of him.

"Father" I said. "She is..She is someone I love, I cannot kill her" I said slowly and they watched me, As if I am out of my mind. "I..I was trying to follow the gang like..you wanted me to, But..I..Somehow got close to her"

The room was still engulfed in silence.

I looked up at him.

Abiram waited till Father and Raghav sir was out and the sound of their cars moved away.

Then he turned to me, An evil glint in his eyes.

"So brother" He smiled evilly. "What do you want to do? Do you want to personally take care of them!?" He asked me.

"Father is sending someone here to take care of the situation!?" I was still shocked at that statement.

"Probably the trump card" Abiram snickered and I stilled.

The psychopath is outside again!?
Even Sanju, Karthik and Aditi looked shocked.

"Now that father want everyone out of the picture, we cannot keep them with us anymore" Abiram said while turning to them.

I fisted my hands to not punch the daylights out of him.

He took out his gun and loaded it.

"Do you want to take care of them personally or should I do it for you?" He asked me again.

He gave me a challenging look and pointed the gun at them.

"Are you sure that you will let me leave if I kill them?" I asked back.

Abiram looked surprised for a moment, Then he brought the gun straight at me. "You got that right" He whispered. "After all the things we did to trap you, Father want to just forgive you" He said. "I will just kill you first-"

He stopped as a crashing sound was heard from outside.

"What is it!?" Abiram turned to his men and demanded.

"Sir" One of the guys ran inside. "One of Our..STO officers...is here, He is severely injured, Has two bullets in his chest" The guy said. "He said that it's a trap!" The guy stopped.

"What is a trap?" Abiram growled.

"All of our officers who came with STO Karthik walked straight to the trap!" He said. "They all are shot dead, Apparently there are more of them hiding in the woods, They used silencer to take care of our officers!" He stopped.

Silence filled the room as everyone processed the new information.

Abiram slowly turned to look at Karthik.

"I am sorry to say this" Karthik suddenly got up. "But you will have to think twice about killing us" He added. "And did you say that it was easy to control me? Let me tell you, Abiram, You made a grave mistake by underestimating the special task force"

All of us including Sanju and Aditi turned to him in shock.

"What did you think? That I am stupid enough to bring a bunch of traitors here?" He asked. "Now it's payback time" He added and as if on cue, something blasted outside.

Abiram looked at him, His eyes wary.

He pressed the trigger and the gunshot was directed at the roof. A tile of the old house scattered in all directions.

Everyone was startled and moved back.

I pushed Abiram off me and overpowered him and he was thrown back with my punch.

I pointed the gun at Abiram who was on the floor while his men stationed themselves around me and raised the gun, Ready to attack.

"Arjun!" Sanju, Karthik and Aditi shouted in unison. The

"How brainless, Arjun" Abiram got up from the floor. "You know better than to do this, You are outnumbered and do you really think that you can get away with that gun alone?" He said as he walked slowly to me.

I ignored him and turned to Karthik. "I will hold him back, Get out of here" I said.

"Circle them" Abiram ordered and the group of six armed men surrounded us, All still pointing gun at us.

I smiled and took a step forward. Abiram and his men tensed.

"Arjun!" Sanju exclaimed as One guy touched the gun on my chest.

"Abiram" I snickered. "It's been so long and You are still a step back from me" I said. "The only person who is armed here in this room is me" I said steadily.

Everyone looked shocked as I placed my gun against his heart.

"Karthik, I will hold everone here, You have to help everyone get out of here" I said.

"I..I don't believe this, I am going to kill you!" Abiram shouted and took the gun from his assistant and pressed the trigger and everyone around me tensed.

Nothing happened.

"You son of a bit**...you Fu**ing bloody traitor!" Abiram growled. "You tampered with the weapons! You..Karan! You..you made karan do this dirty job for you" Abiram said.

"Everyone step away" I ordered. "If you don't, I am going to kill him now" I said. "You already know that my gun is loaded" I said. "Now!"

Karthik was already locking Abiram's men inside the room and they couldn't resist as I still had the gun pressed against Abiram's chest.

"You will never get away, Father will know about this, The whole people from surya group already knows that You have messed up their guns, You are a traitor who destroyed surya group" Abiram said.

"And you will be punished-" Abiram stopped as Karthik came to him and tied his hand backwards. "You are irritating me" He said while pushing a cloth inside his mouth. "Don't talk too much" He added while Aditi came forward and punched Abiram straight on the nose.

"This is for holding us here and this" She gave another one, A much stronger one this time. "Is for using a small kid to blackmail us" She said.

"Aditi" Karthik held her back. "We need to take care of his men outside" He said while Sanju took the network jammer and activated it. "This will prevent them from contacting others" She said.

"Good thinking" Karthik nodded at her and she nodded back.

"You alright Sanju?" I asked her and she nodded her head.

"I..I am okay"

"Then stick close to me" I said and she nodded again.

"Move" I ordered an uncooperative Abiram while Karthik pushed him to move forward and all of us moved outside.

"Listen everyone" Karthik shouted aloud. "Stop fighting, Stop everything or Abiram will be dead" He announced. "You cannot win, A fully armed Special task force are closing on you and you are helpless" He said. "So abandon your weapons and I suggest you to surrender now, Or I will kill you, I have permission and order to kill anyone who don't cooperate with me" He shouted.

Abiram's men slowly started to put down the weapons.

"Sir" Armed officers reached the clearing.

"Surround the house and get everyone down" Karthik ordered and for the next few minutes, Karthik was issuing orders while the officers were following it. Some of the Officers were encircling the estate house while the other few were taking care of the already surrendered men, They were forced on to their knees and held there with gunpoint.

"Sir, Are you okay?" CEO Gangadhar of palace group reached near with few of my bodyguards from Palace group.

"I am fine, We need to sent our men to help others" I said.

"Shyam is already working on it" Gangadhar said. "He took few of our men to go to the Surya headquarters" He added.

"That's good" Karthik said. "Shahid and Izzy was taken to the headquarters" He added.

I nodded, Now relieved. "Ask them to send our officers to Surya hospital, Aditya and Varsha is there" I ordered.

Abiram made an angry growl, unable to speak as he was still gagged and I pushed him forward, Towards my men, Who held him on both sides while Officer Jacob from the special task team arrested him.

"I really am glad that you are safe, Karthik" Jacob sir told him grimly. "Your plan actually worked even when our plan was exposed before it was supposed to be"

"The luck was on our side this time" Karthik said. "If Arjun hadn't thought of tampering with their weapons, Everything would have turned to a nightmare" He said. "They would have used us as hostages to bargain with you"

"If it was not for Abiram who asked his men to kill Sanju, I wouldn't have thought of it" I said and they all looked at me in shock. "Yea, He said he would reward the person who kills Sanju as his new PA" I told them.

"I didn't know about that!" Sanju said. "Abiram was afraid of me!"

Of course...She will not understand the danger she was in..

"Escort them out of here" I told my men to escort Sanju and Aditi back safely.

"Trisha!"

"Nitin!" Sanju exclaimed. "I was thinking about covering this!" She said.

"Shyam tipped me, I came with the people from Palace group" He said, His camera was already out and recording.

I turned to my bodyguards and nodded.

"Protect her" I ordered and they followed her.

"I am fine with staying here" She said. "I too want to see them taking Abiram" She said. "I am not leaving before I get news about Aditya and Shahid" She added.

"Then don't wander off and stay in the car" Karthik said. "I will come back as soon as I report back to the DIB"

"Cut" I said and the other doctor who was assisting me cut the suture.

The beeping in the monitor stopped and everyone released a sigh of relief.

Mahesh had turned worse on the way and We finally managed to control the situation.

"BP?" I asked.

"Normal Doctor" The guy monitoring his vitals told me. "Everything is stable"

I nodded.

"He is out of danger" I said. "Get away from her" I looked at Nakulan, Who was threatening me with Varsha.

He lowered the gun from her and I took a deep breath.

I removed the gloves and mask.

"We are here" Nakulan said. "Transfer him safely" he said and They nodded.

So the ambulance stopped at a different entrance of Surya hospital and the Doctor and his assistants moved him out. I started to follow them outside.

"Wait" Nakulan said, Still pointing the gun at me, "You two are coming back with me" He said and I stilled.

The door of the ambulance shut again and the van moved forward again.

"Where are you taking us?" Varsha asked him.

"Shut up and Listen to me" He said and I narrowed my eyes at him.

Nakulan ignored me and took out his phone and dialled.

He waited for a long time before he disconnected the call, Looking irritated.

The van turned and I looked around.

He is taking the same route to the abandoned warehouse where Varsha was locked up long before when she was arrested from skyline.

They are planning to get rid of us!
